Clockwork now is not loading, the stock recovery is loading. Ive got odin, but it doesnt seem to do anything after i load the stock files and press start, split second and shows message "<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)"
Any help appreciated. THANKS

[Q] - Fascinate Root Problems

Hello all,
Let me first start off by explaining my problem:
So I was rooted to begin with and was running superclean 2.92vooodoo with a oc kernel. For some reason my phone wouldnt start so I ended up resetting it to the original 2.1 eclair (Kill me!).
Ok, so I have superuser access, but can't get the right clockwork recovery in there to flash over a new rom. It says I am on rom manager 3.0 whatever, I try to install 2.5 or whatever the one that I had working and it says "Could not download, try later" The other problem is that my recovery is still blue (when I boot into recovery, instead of red.) When I try to install update.zip or anything that would help it. I get the response
"E: Failed to verify whole-file signature. E: Signature verification failed installation aborted."
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Scott
Do not use Rom Manager for anything in here. You will need to flash CWM 2. through Odin.
Yup CWM ALL will do the trick through ODIN

Thank you so much guys, I was up till 4am trying to figure this out, i had that file downloaded and thought i was trying to flash it through odin but i think since rom manager was installed it was messing things up,
Thanks a lot for the help,
Scott

[Q] -HELP- Clockwork Recovery Not Working?

Here is the video, sorry for the bad quality. If you couldn't understand, basically I looked up how to get clockwork mod recovery, as my recovery is the original one that does not allow you install custom roms.
So in ROM manager I choose the vibrant as my phone for Clockwork Mod, and it says it was successful, so I do Boot into recovery.
The thread then said to choose install packages, so I did that, and it loads like 1/5 of the bar and an error message is displayed. There error reads:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
I dont know what it wrong, my old vibrant worked fine when I did this and I had a custom ROM i enjoyed until I dropped my phone and phone it. They just sent me this knew one since it was insured, and I want to get a custom ROM on this vibrant too.
Thanks everyone, XDA is the best!

Im VERY sorry about the quality. Thats why i also typed out my problem.
Froyo 3e recovery won't allow you to flash anything.
-Use Odin to flash back to stock JFD Eclair..then reinstall packages x2
-Use Odin to flash Voodoo + Stock kernel--then flash ROM
-Try modified 3e recovery thingy (doesn't work for me)
Delete update.zip and try again from within rom manager

a failed signature veriication either means the file is corrupt, downlod and copy again or thats not meant to be applied thru recovery.
you can verify corrupted downloads by opening on desktop. the desktop archiver will report corrupted zips on opening. any.

If you continue to get the error. I would suggest ODIN and re-root. I myself just flashed back to stock to test another issue and ran into having to repeatedly flash CwM before i could get out of Blue recovery thats why i posted that link. Although my problem never produced an error like the OP i just couldnt get out of Blue recovery i almost got worried haha

[Q] Flashed TWRP V2.6.3.0 and brick

I flashed the 4.4 kernel from this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521427 ) to gain TWRP (I had CWM) in order to install CM11. But now TWRP can't mount anything: whenever I try to wipe or install a zip, it fails to mount system, dalvik cache and data. I tried using droidstyle's method of a stock restore in this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238070 ) but Odin only displays "<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)" immediately after pressing start and nothing else. What do I do? I really need to fix my phone.

odin is a finicky program. have you installed the samsung USB drivers? tried multiple USB ports on your computer? different USB cables? (i know people usually recommend the OEM cable but mine didnt work a lot of the time, a motorola one worked for me pretty much flawlessly every time, think it came with a droid x or somethin)
also about the TWRP brick, that's actually happened to me before, i usually dont bother with it and when i had this phone i actually just flashed kitkat using cwm

Used a factory S4 cable and it worked. Thanks for the help. No idea where my Fascinate cable went.

[Q] Botched flash Cyanogenmod 12 from Hyperdrive 17, stuck in ODIN kies screen

I probably shouldn't have even attempted this without more info, apparently, but I wanted to give Cyanogenmod and lolipop a try, so I sort of blundered ahead and now Im soft bricked at the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue." screen.
So, basically first I tried to update TWRP from 2.7 to 2.8.5 via TWRP updater on the play store. It rebooted and didn't take, so I went and proceeded with installing Cyanogenmod via 2.7 TWRP, wiped the pertinent caches and such, and the flash seemed to take, but when I rebooted, I couldn't get passed the Galaxy S4 screen and I had weird brief flickering when I rebooted to try to get it working again, which it never did.
At this point, I just figured I would flash the backup I made prior to trying to install Cyanogen, but that flash failed and I was stuck at Odin, with no option to boot into recovery.
Here is where I probably screwed things up even more, as I didnt realise there was a specific ROM I was supposed to flash from Odin, so I've tried and failed to flash a bunch of stock images I've found online, none of which appear to be the right one. Im stopping here and deferring to the forum for some help, hopefully. Apologies if this is a common thing, but my searchings haven't turned up anything I can use, and Im afraid to screw up my phone more.
The last image I tried to flash was this:
SCH-I545_VZW_1_20130613171315_24s13crny1_fac
Odin got to aboot.mdn and then failed, with this message
<ID:0/004> FAIL! (Auth)
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
the ODIN screen on my phone reads
PRODUCT NAME: SCH-I545
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
EMAC BURST MODE: enabled
START [224,1440]
SW REV, CHECK FAIL : fused : 6(or possibly 8? it looks more like a 6 though), Binary : 3
Also, I wasn't aware I needed a PIT file, so at this point I pretty much need every relevant file and detailed instructions on what to do. Apologies for my noobishness, this is the first time in 5 years I've needed this much help flashing a ROM... =(
Thanks in advance!
Edit: The problem was indeed that I was trying to flash an older ROM onto my phone. For the stupid inclined, always check what baseband model your phone is before flashing a stock image. If you're locked out of the OS, you can find this on the sticker on the side of the box your phone came it, under the listing "s/w" version, the last three characters will tell you what baseband version your phone shipped with.
Beginning to see where I went wrong in Odin, as I've been trying to flash earlier android versions. Downloading an NC5 factory image now, Will report back.
Christ, Im an idiot.

I had the same problem. I tried to update to 2.8.5.0 via TWRP's Play Store app and got a soft brick. Couldn't get to OS or into TWRP recovery. The phone was stuck at "Booting into recovery" blue text.
This is a common problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-verizon/help/q-twrp-2-8-5-0-t3029191
You'll notice you can only download 2.8.4.0 on TWRP's official website: http://dl.twrp.me/jfltevzw/
I figured I lost the bootloader and the OS since I could only get into download mode. Worst case scenario, I could push the Verizon MDK image again, and push loki'd TWRP recovery back into bootloader with dd command in terminal.
I was in major 'screw it' mode. So I put the phone into download mode and fired up Odin. I tried to push the TWRP 2.8.4.0 tar for the jfltexx firmware via the "bootloader" field. I know the Odin mode isn't compatible with jfltevzw and it did say "failed" as expected, however on reboot I didn't get stuck at the "Booting into recovery" blue text. Everything was intact. Somehow, it fixed the bootloader/recovery on my device.
Once into the OS, I reflashed the jfltevzw img 2.8.4.0 using the "dd" mode in terminal. I didn't want to give it a chance to get stuck at the blue text again on reboot: http://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys4verizon.html
Hope it helps someone!

SM-J250Y Odin flash problem

Hey.
I tried to install Twrp on my sm-j250y using a sm-j250f-twrp file(Yes, I know i´m a idiot). But the recovery didnt work. When I try to boot normally, it only gets to the bootlogo and reboots. If I try to boot into recovery, I get into a buggy twrp recovery that resets every time I reboot. I can boot to the bootloader normally.
After I noticed these things, I downloaded the sm-j250y stock rom from a2zrom.com/sm-j250y.
When I try to flash the firmware using odin, I get a FAIL! Message and on the bootloader screen I get the error message:
SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot] Fused 2 > Binary 1
I also tried to use samsung tool pro, but sm-j250y doesnt appear on the device list, only sm-j200x.
What do ?
Btw is it possible to flash a sm-j250f rom on my phone?
sorry for my bad english.
