Latest bcblend kernel for Evo3d location? - HTC EVO 3D

I checked under the synergy thread and saw that I could download the bcblend kernel there. However, it is not compiled into a boot.img.
I am just looking for the boot.img for the latest bcblend for evo3d to use with InfectedROM Eternity and don't feel like bricking my phone. Anybody please help me out with that?
EDIT: Figured it out. Needed modded recovery.img for twrp, boot into recovery through fastboot, then I could flash the kernel.zip.
I can hardly wait until there is a fix out for 1.50

Why cant we flash kernels like the EVO3D with s-on?

Just came to verizon from sprint and on the 3d we fastboot boot recovery.img and you could flash anything with custom kernels even whole roms. You just had to have your recovery.img on your phone and in your sdk. Fixing to try it now with ziggy's...
EDIT: Confirmed working....found in post in 3d http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239821

Ok so here is my story. I flashed CleanROM ICSE 3.5 along with the kernel. Had issues so want to flash back to CleanROM GBE 1.7.5. So it flashed in recovery and I flashed the kernel in HBoot just like I've been doing, but the phone wouldn't boot all the way. It would hang at the final stage of the boot animation. So some were I found a thread about not being able to boot up after flashing ICS ROM. It had a boot.img to flash, well I flashed it and the phone booted right up YAY! Problem solved right? Well not exactly. Now I can't flash any kernels. When I flash the kernel in HBoot it looks like it works but it doesn't flash. I go back to about in the phone and it still has the HTC kernel. Anyone know thats up? Do I need to relock and flash the RUU then unlock again or something? Any help would be a bonus. Thanks guys.
Here is the thread I used to get the phone to boot again after ICS:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1486220
I only did step 5 and pushed the boot.img.
Go to the development section and use the cleanflash tool.

Thanks that sorta helps but how do I get back to being able to flash PH98IMG in hboot? Plus most of the kernels are now zImages, no boot.img.
Edit:
Ok that seems to have worked. What I did was use the above tool and flashed "[Kernel]Unsecured, OverClocked, SmartAssV2, and Voltage Control[New Links 01.27.12]" once that was complete I was able to go back and flash the PH98IMG.zip like I was doing before. Thanks guy..
That is extremely strange but there is no reason you should need to re-lock in order to flash a kernel.
I think there may be a mix up in the way the kernel is being flashed (other than in fastboot). There's two ways...
1. A PH98IMG.zip that contains the kernel (boot.img) and android-info.txt. This is safe to flash in the bootloader.
2. A kernel which uses a script needs a .zip to first be flashed in recovery which then places a PH98IMG.zip on your sdcard. After the .zip is flashed in recovery, the script reboots the phone to bootloader where the PH98IMG.zip is flashed.
Notice these are two ways to achieve the same thing and this could possbily be the mix up. Also, be careful about leaving the PH files on your sdcard because they can ruin your day if you try to reboot into bootloader because the phone will keep trying to update.
I hope this helps clear things up a bit.

Thanks ya i've been flashing them right along with PH98IMG.zips. Then for some reason it just wouldn't flash, no matter how many i tried. Using the CleanFLASH seems to have cleared it up. In other words using flastboot flash boot boot.img would have gotten the job done.

HBOOT-1.5 S-On Meanrom 2.4 flashed. Constant Reboots

I heard that I may have to update the kernel on my EVO 3d with HBOOT-1.5 S-on. I have fully wiped my phone a couple of times and reinstalled with no success. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
I had that issue with any ics rom. So I unlocked the bootloader with the juno method (s-off) and it stopped doing it

You have to flash the kernel for MeanRom ICS, since it can't use the stock GB kernel. I used Flash Image GUI(in the Play Store).
1) Open Flash Image GUI and go to your Mean Rom zip to flash the kernel.
2) Boot into recovery from Flash Image GUI.
3) Flash Mean Rom ICS and reboot.
Check out this video.

There are other ways of course like going to S-off, but since you are S-on, this should work.

I tried that and I'm still facing boot loop. Thanks very much for your help
Did you try fastboot flashing the boot.img file?

Yes i tried that as well. for some reason its still rebooting.
So your hboot 1.5 s-on... Hmm did you flash back to 2.17? Cause I say you try to get soff

I had the same exact problem, yep s-off is necessary in this case

Issue resolved. just had to flash a different kernel. Still S-on and its working perfectly with meanrom. Thanks everyone for your help
What kernel did you end up going with?
get 4ext recovery, it has smart flash so you won't be having to use guiflash or fastboot.. and boot loops are common with 1.5 hboot
For the future i would recomend installing 4ext recovery its a recovery biult for evo 3d on s-on. It lets you upload difrent roms. You could by that app at the playstore. You shold really check it out.
OK here's what I have have/have done:
HBOOT 1.50, S-ON
I used fastboot to flash 4ext 1.0.0.5 RC5 to the recovery so I wouldn't have to fastboot every time.
I also flashed "AnthraX-htcleak-rls1.zip" (within 4ext) which supposedly fixes reboot loops.
I would perform a "factory wipe" then turn on SmartFlash and then flash an ICS ROM (MeanROM 2.4, Clean ROM ICS RC2, Derp ROM BDM4.1, viperROM B3) and they all rebooted in one of three ways: as soon as I went to unlock, after sitting on the lock screen for about 5 seconds, or without the lock screen ever loading.
I got CleanROM Reborn (gingerbread) to load and I'm using that for now.

First off, doing a factory wipe ins't enough generally. Grab superwipe from the first post of MeanROM ICS and flash that first. Do it multiple times to make sure everything gets clean. Then flash the ROM, and finally the AnthraX kernel.
1. superwipe
2. flash ROM
3. flash kernel
It your still have issues after this then you need to get your 3D s-off. Some just have trouble properly flashing the kernel with s-on on an ICS ROM

OK, so here's what I ended up doing to get it to work:
Unlock the bootloader with the HTC tool
Flash the recovery using fastboot.exe with 4EXT 1.0.0.5 RC5 (I had actually downloaded this on my phone prio to doing anything so I had the zip file with the .img file in it)
Boot in to 4EXT recovery and turn on SmartFlash
Flash the superwipe zip first
Flash the ICS ROM (in this case MeanROM)
Flash the Anthrax zip file
Reboot the phone and let it go through the setup and it was all set!
So the most frustrating part was unlocking the bootloader, because I misread some instructions at first, and it took me a while to realize I could flash 4EXT to recovery to I wouldn't have to keep booting to it through my PC, but it all worked out in the end. I'm now running ICS on my phone and it was still less of a headache than waiting for Sprint.
A lot has changed in the last year and a half or so since I rooted my EVO 4G. Thanks everyone!

Stuck on MeanROM ICS v2.4 Evo3D Install

I've been trying to get this damn ROM onto my Evo3D since yesterday morning! I've got HBOOT 1.50 with S-ON, 4EXT Recovery to for flashing, but each time I select the MeanROM .zip and try to flash it, the process gets aborted within seconds! I've tried searching around Google, THIS forum, and a couple others, as well as videos on YouTube and I've come to no avail. Anything that I'm absentmindedly missing here?
If you need anymore info just lemme know!
Please & thanks in advance!
Two suggestions:
1. Such a quick abort implies a problem with the download. Maybe try to download again.
2. Ics Roms usually bootloop for people who are s-on, so I recommend you get s-off.

So I figured out that my MacBook unzips the download as soon as it's done, automatically. Is it the same if I just zip it back and copy it to my sdcard?

I would think so and you could try it. It would be best I would think if you can find the original file on your hard drive.

[Q]how do I install kernal w/S-ON viper4g

I'm S-ON with hboot 1.19 and twrp. Tried installing viper4g but WiFi wouldnt work because kernal did not install. I know xhaus has a method for kernal installer for S-ON but reading thru that thread and the viper4g thread I could not figure out how to do it. Could someone explain this process?

easiest way is to use flash image gui from google play. Not sure though as I think that rom runs off the old base and you seem to be running the new one
Not entirely sure but I think viper uses the work around for the kernel. Try flashing normally and if you can't start android, go back and fastboot flash the kernel

fastboot flash boot boot.img
extract the boot.img from the zip and put it in a location easy to get to, like the same place fastboot is at
