Hi
I have Stock Gingerbread 2.3.3 + newest franco kernel + CWM.
I made the ext partition using CWM, flashed A2SD script, installed A2SDGUI from market but when I click "apps are on internal stroage" the phone thinks but nothing happens. I can click on that button million of times but nothing happen.
What should I do? Is it even possible to run A2SD on Stock?

I'm using mik's CM7 6.5.7 build with franco's kerne' 19.2 + zram and link2sd. Everything was working fine for a while when suddenly link2sd broke. It would always say link failure and something about read only data... I didn't mess around with anything on the memory card settings (if that's even possible).
The option I had in mind was to ditch link2sd and use darktremor's apps2sd. I would backup everything on my nand (including the sd ext) partition the memory card with bigger space, and restore everything again. Would that work?

don't think of darktremor's apps2sd it also has some issues and coming to that link2sd i also face d same prob freq d solution is to reboot into recovery wipe dalvik cache and repair sd ext it works use amon ara recovery also upgrade 2 ext4 using d same recovery

/data mounted read-only usually means your sd-ext filesystem is screwed up.
Hello guys, I installed the DarkTremor Apps2SD script after installing the NewSense RC3 ROM and moved some files to SD which I don't remember now. Now I want to use the CyanogenMod 7.1 so is there a need to restore all settings to default? If yes, how to do that? What will happen if I install the CM7.1 ROM without removing DTA2SD?
Just wipe data at CWM Recovery, then you can flash your CM system.Nothing will happen if you wiped everything.
hey,, I just flashed oxygen ROM (latest stable 14NOV) on my O1... I want to know that can i use link2sd with it ?? If yes then which type of second partition should I use, Fat32 or Ext3 ??

Well, reboot in recovery -> advanced -> partition (NOTE: EVERYTHING WILL BE ERASED!!! BACKUP IF NEEDED)
Then boot again, go to Link2SD, select ext4 and reboot.
If you can't link then, try menu -> recreate mount script -> ext3

I know with a2sdgui, it asks for an a2sd script before it's working, I've never used link2sd before, to OP I followed what the guy above me said than downloaded darktremors a2sd zip script than flashed it than used a2sdgui to move apps to sd-ext, zipaligned and moved and rebuilt dalvik cache and it's been working flawlessly for me, but to respect what above user mentioned, whatever works best for you... There's ungaze and darktremor a2sd script on these forums, do the search on goggles for em

I dun prefer using as2d scripts as they also move gapps to sd,, link2sd worked best for me on stock ROM..
Hey guys, I flashed Oxygen ROM and when tried to install an app, the phone rebooted and all /data apps were gone.. Did a clean install again and the same problem occured :\ ... should I fix permissions in recovery ? or use any other recovery to flash, btw my current recovery is CWM 5.0.2 ... Could it be an OC problem?? Or a problem with SD card ?

Wipe /system and /boot in mount and storages in CWM before flashing, then do a data wipe, and your good to go

Im using GingerBlurB Shreyas rom, which includes A2SD support and Dalvik 2 SD....I know it's Darktremors from using Titanium Backup, my only problem now is I get stuck at splash screen when partitioning sdcard on a 32 swap 512 mb after flashing the rom...My question is how do I activate a2sd scripts when roms like these have the script included...With a few themed roms, there was a terminal emulator command "a2sd" or something like that, that you would type into TE after first boot. I could easily delete the associated script than repackage the zip and flash without the script but I really dont want to....I doubt the script is automatic after first boot considering the sdcard needs to be partitioned right ? I even tried flashing rom without partitioning the sdcard than using s2e I clicked the associated boxes and did a reboot but was stuck on splash screen
Ive always partitioned the sdcard, either installed Ungaze or Darktremors, than after booting I would install Link2Sd for Ungaze and S2E/A2SDGUI for Darktremors...Im not sure if Im doing this all correctly, my aim is to free up as much space on my phone as possible, so that is why ive always used a2sd scripts, to allow me to install as many applications as I can and still have descent performance for the phone...So could someone point me in the right direction of a thread that gives me a full breakdown of a2sd scripts, how to correctly install them ?
The command for darktremor a2sd is 'a2sd install' (without quotes). Type in terminal after su. If that doesn't work you can also try 'a2sd reinstall'
