[Q] Cable LED Color - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

Sorry, but I don't know what mean a green or orange led on my NT cable.. Someone can explain?
I noticed that on boot it change color for some second to green..

Orange is when it's charging.
It turns green when it's fully charged.

For my NT, the led is green even during charging. It is charging properly I think, just don't see orange any more. Symptom began only recently.

sometimes my cable led flickers between orange and green colored lights, wondering if its defect in the cable... probably just a loose cable

If it happens while plugged in to the computer, the charge rate with screen on will slightly drain it, whereas (i think) with plugged in and screen off it slowly charges it.

mini info widiget did it!

It has something to do with the mini info widget, which has a battery monitor widget within it. A while ago, I installed mini info widget following this video,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdHI...xt=C3edf5c9UDOEgsToPDskJjgUlwFr5DaNxUjqt-3vV5
did not like it at first. Removed it. That was when my cable LED started going green even during charging. Today, I reinstalled the mini info widiget, what you know, the LED acts normal again (orange during charging, green indicates fully charged battery).

weird, i havn't noticed a green color

[Q] Xperia X10 does not start but only the RED LED blinks on charging

Hi,
I have an Xperia X10 and it was working fine until last night. I had put it on charge overnight but when I woke up in the morning, I could see RED LED blinking and the phone will not boot up (re-start).
I have tried many suggestions found on the blog (taking out the batter, putting the phone on charge and then putting back the battery). This has not helped and my phone is till dead.
Any clue/suggestions on how to get this issue resolved?
Thanks!
Would try different charger / charger cable or charging from pc sounds like flat battery more than anything else

Sounds like a flat battery.
Could be faulty battery/charger. Try different ones.
Sure, will try out your suggestions and use a new battery.
Does any one know what it means when the RED LED flashes for continuously three times when the phone is getting charged via the main (and not USB)?
The red flashing led pattern does not indicate more than something is not working accordingly so there's no way to tell from this exactly what has caused this.
I would try a different charger if possible and if this does not help, bring the phone to the store for a warranty repair. Hope it can be sorted easily and quick.

If you're from SE why are you on freakin XDA?
i found it was my charger that was the problem. i would leave it for ages and never recieve charge but if i shifted the cable or wiggled it a bit the charge would start
red flashing light means its on power but recieving enough charge to switch on i think. like when you try to turn your phone on when the batteery is completely flat
Or simply a dead, malfunctioning battery.
Had one of those battery, and it did that when charged..

He's scouting to see if the bootloader has been compromised! Lol.
Sent from my Delorean using a flux capacitor!
Red light issue happened to me once.i fixed it by leaving the cable in(while charging) and removing the battery. I then put the battery back in and green light!

Could be a broken USB port. It's a fairly common problem.
I just had the same problem with my X10. I left it charging overnight and now the phone won't turn on. All I get are 3 red lights blinking when I try to turn it on. I already tried a different charger and still no luck. Once when I plugged it into my PC I got it somehow to turn on, the deviced booted up but when it got into the initial screen it turned off
Wasn't the phone supposed to turn on even without the battery? I mean, can't I plug the charger and try to turn on my phone or it will only work with a battery?

Led on while charging

hi guys,
this really is one of those "first world problems", but it is bothering me indeed..
I noticed that the "charging" led only comes on when the phone is plugged in but turned off.
I'd like for it to always be on while charging, whether turned on or off, and ideally for it to change color once charge has reached 100%.
Tried Light Flow, but doesn't seem to work.. any ideas?
I'm using lightflow and its working fine for me. It flashes orange while charging and green when it reaches 100%. It only flashes phone screen is locked though.
My charging LED does not come on at all when plugged in.....
For the record, when mine is powered off and plugged in I get the Battery display with a cool liquid filled battery as well as a notification light.
its a motorola thing. When ur device is on and charging the led light won't be on. Its the same on the xoom. Unless until some dev makes a custom kernel

[Q] 100% battery full but doesn't turn green

my nook tablet is now 100% fully charging. but it doesn't turn green.
it says "100% - Full" but the charger's light still orange (yellow maybe)
while it was charging, i had some problems so i tried to reboot it, do a factory reset,....
is this the reason? and for what i did while it was charging -> will it harm my battery?
can i unplug the charger now?
this is the 2nd time i charge, last time my brother unplugged it, i don't know was it green or not, but it probably was, because that was night, he was sleeping, the only way he knew it was full is the green light (i think)
i think i can unplug, next time i will leave it charge normally to see what happen?
From what I encountered, some cables don't turn green when the device is on because it constantly discharges (especially if you have wifi on, not sleeping, or brightness up) It's the same with my cable, sometimes it turns green and sometimes it doesn't, but overall I don't think it made a difference.
Plugging in your nook while factory reseting would not harm your batteries. I'm not sure if your problems you described in this thread is related to the ones in the other threads you created. I'm assuming so.
I don't think you should worry about the color. Mine is green all the time it is charging. When I first got it it was orange until full charge. Now I just turn on the screen and look at the battery widget.

[Q] Green LED won't turn off??

My friend just received his Galaxy S III and there is a green notification light that remains on when the screen is off. Plugged in or not, it wouldn't matter. Once the phone is unlocked, the green LED goes off w/out any issue.
This happens with the charger plugged in and also happens when the charger isn't plugged in.
Anyone have a clue as to what this actually is and what can be done to make it go away?
i guess a reboot fixed the issue.
please disregard this thread and any mod can go ahead a close it.
Ugh after further review we found the root cause of the problem. Light Flow caused the constant green light to be on when the phone was sleeping. deleted the app... now no issues.
bummer.

Is there a phone charging indicator light?

Coming from an LG G5, I see no charging indicator light when I charge the phone. The phone does charge, but there is no red or green light visible. Nothing at all. Whether the phone is on or off and charging, I don't see a phone charging indicator light. Is this normal or is the phone charging indicator light on my unit broken?
There's no notification LED, the notification just goes on the always on screen

Thank you for the answer. That's good to know it's not broken. I still think it would have been nice for LG to include an Red/Green LED for charging status. Far easier to see.
