[Q] Remove Custom Lock ring - HTC EVO 3D

I installed Mean Rom also tried synergy rom both had crazy words around the lock ring is there a way to remove the word mean rom listed on my lock ring restore it back to default clean ring.
Thanks for any help.

If you look at your sdcard there will be a folder called meanrom, in that folder mike included the stock lock ring. Just flash the zip in recovery and you will get the stock lock ring back.

[Q] Custom LockScreens on Legend?

Hi,
Does anybody know where to find custom lockscreens for HTC Legend?
Have you tried this tool to create your own? You could always find custom lock rings already made and use it as your replacement per the instructions. It just uses the rom your'e running and creates a flashable zip for you. What are you looking for exactly?
Edit: I assume you are talking sense 3.0?

Hi,
Yes, I would love to replace my Legend's original 2.2 lockscreen (the curved bar that you pull down) with this one (I don't know how it's called).
I managed to simply copy and replace the HTCLockScreen.apk and the new lock screen is working upon reboot, but the problem is that it also unlocks when I press the Menu button.
Any ideas? Some Settings will also be highly appreciated.
Why would you need to press MENU on the lockscreen?
Back in the days of Android 2.1 on the Legend, I remember that pressing MENU would automatically unlock the screen, with the stock lockscreen, on my unrooted device. I don't know about the official Froyo update however, and if it had that feature in it.

Maybe an option to turn that unlock feature off? What rom are you running? I read that all you have to do is delete the htclockscreen.apk not replace it. Found this for cm7
Use widget locker!!! Lots of skins and highly customizable!!!

Need Help :( user error!!

I was going to flash a ROM so I went into TWRP and wiped everything. Then I noticed I needed to update my radio. while still in recovery I I turned on usb toggle mode and sent the radio to my sd card. I rebooted into recover and it asked me to update my PG86IMG file so I said yes. I then had to press power to reboot, only problem is I have no ROM to boot to. and when I remove batter to get into recovery it's asking me if I want to update again. I hit no and the only other option I have is to hit power to reboot, but again there's nothing to boot to. My phone is stuck on splash screen.
How can I fix this?
Isnt there a IMG file that will put you back to stock ROM, recov and everything? I'd look for it in development.

but how would this work? I can't do anything but remove battery then go into recovery but when I go into recovery it's asking me to update my IMG file. I hit no, but there's no option to go back into recovery. the only option I have is to hit power to reboot which leaves me stuck on splash screen. How would I get any file on my phone?
Through the bootloader, you may need to use a card reader if one is available. That's probably the only way to get the img file onto your card at the moment.

Yeah... This happened to me once, I just took the SD out of my phone put it in an adapter and deleted the file using my pc.
Edit. The big guy on top of me already said that.....that doesn't sound right.. lol

You will need to use a SD reader like ^^^ said. Once you get it off, put a rom on there at the same time and flash.
This is why nandroids are a life saver. You can call me sissy all you want, I like to have my ducks in a row just in case.

Are you wanting to put a bootanimation.zip? Or a splash screen? Being S-on, you can't flash a splash screen, and to push a bootanimation, take the zip file and place it in /system/app or something, search in the themes and apps section for how to do it.

[Q] Roms + Themes + CWM = Lost!!!!

Hey guys..sorry to bother you good folk at Vibrant forums but i have a few questions. I just rooted my brothers phone and now im lost. Im not not a complete noob for as u can tell by my name, u can assume i have a rooted epic or not lol. But his phone is rooted and i have no idea where to get him a cwm bc i cant find rom manger the free version. All i want to do is put the redsurrection theme on for him befo i leave as a xmas present. And preferably a rom with great batt life. Thanks in advance.
Questions: Where do i get a cwm? Which rom for battery? Also is this rom compatible with the redsurrection theme?
Download this update.zip file to flash CWR.
Copy the update.zip to the INTERNAL SD (not the external SD Card).
If you prefer, you can power off your phone, then hold in all 3 buttons to boot into recovery, I don't see the point in waiting for the phone to power off.
This will get you to a recovery menu (blue/purple text) after some yellow text.
In this (the stock recovery menu) select 'Reinstall Packages'
Use volume to navigate + power to select.
It will cycle a bit, you will see that yellow text again, then it will return to the stock recovery. Select Reinstall packages again.
You are now in CWR (clockwork recovery).
You can either reboot, flash your new ROM or make a backup now...

Delete any update.zip or update2.zip from your phone, download the one I posted and put it on the root of your phone, then try it again.

[Q] Unbrick Help

so, my HTC Evo 3D is bricked, I think. I was bored last night at work and I was moving some apps to my sd card. One of the apps I moved was Plume for Twitter. When I launched Plume, it told me I had to restart my phone for the notification settings to be applied. So I did. It booted up fine but when I turned my screen off when I was done with work, the screen wouldn't unlock. There was just the notification bar and my wallpaper. I couldn't hit any buttons, or slide the notification bar down. I tried calling my phone from work but it just said missed call from work. It boots into bootloader and adb is working. I am downloading PG86IMG.zip now and I'm going to try to flash that unless someone else has a better idea what to do. Can someone please help?
Thanks in advance!

Restore from a backup. If you don't have one just gun the PG zip and it should work fine. Just note you will lose everything.

I tried restoring from a backup. I tried factory resetting also. And now its just bringing me to the white HTC screen and not getting any farther. I'm on HBOOT 1.5 and I've been using HTCDumLock to flash roms. Should I just do it the old fashioned way and flash the PG.zip using fastboot?
Have you tried flashing the rom then reboot to recovery via fastboot then flash the kernel. Or flashing the boot partition???

I tried that. But now when I try to copy over the PG.zip file it says I don't have enough space on my SD card so I deleted some things that I don't need and its still saying it. I tried flashing the rom I had before it, and all it says is unable to unzip.
Back up your sd. The format it and restore the default partitions. Then try it.

Flash the Boot.img
you might have a "softbrick" on your hands.. An easy way to fix it is to extract the Boot.img from your current custom rom and then flash it using fastboot like so:
Be sure to cd/ to the location of the boot.img
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
then Fastboot boot boot.img to restart
Somewhere along the lines you might have accidentaly tried to boot the wrong rom on the wrong boot.img.
Sorry if this doesn't help...

I tried that..no luck. I'm currently using my friends old phone, the Samsung Moment...which is sprints first crack at an android phone. Its a far cry from my EVO 3D, but I will have to live with it until I can figure what I will do next. Thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it!

yeah a buddy of mine said I soft bricked it. I'm not quite sure what that means but he's going to look at it and hope to get it back in working order so I don't have to use this awful phone (samsung moment)
