Where to buy motherboard in lowest price
Service center saying 9000 rs !!!! Thats too costly
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda app-developers app

I'm sure that service people are fake. In Rs9000 you can easily get a new phone and that too a better one. Try going to another service centre and ask them the price

Board price is 70% of the mobile. Find sc with jtag.. it will cost less!!

is it worth Rs 25000 in india... need opinion on SXS

well in new delhi this is available for 25k without warranty ..... grey market like maybe... do u people recommend this at this price?
actually last 3 smartphones i owned i never used warranty ....maximum that happens is breaking of display or body ...tat is a warranty void condition ...so this time i am taking a chance going for without warranty product....
other options:
galaxy nexus rs. 22500
samsung galaxy s 3 rs. 33000
htc one x rs 30000 or so (not sure bout this one)
iphone 4s rs. 35000
opinions please.... thanks in advance
my budget is around 25k to 27k
The retail price of the Sony Xperia S is around 32k. I say you try to bargain a little bit, im pretty sure you can get it reduced a bit more, but if you don't mind go for it

I got mine for 23k and I must say it is worth every buck even at 30k. But at 23k, it's a steal and there can be no better phone at this price

23k? how? second hand or grey market...
well i want to ask if there are many problems with this phone or this is a solid one without any problem? well grey market does nothing it just gives u phone at around 5k less than market price... if this phone has no issues i will buy it but if there are problems for which i have to go to service center then i have to think.
Check the built no before you buying so that you can avoid off going to service centers..

I would not recommend u to buy any smartphone (at that price) without warranty. I can assure u that SXS is totally worth its price (i got it for 30k).
Anyhow, if u still wanna buy from grey.. then do check its batch no/build no (like AAAC/ABAB) as some initial batches suffer yellow patch/tint issue. I've had mine (ABAB) for 2 months, no yellow tint or any other issues so far!
About the list you have.. all phones are good, it all depends on what feature u like more in a smartphone! Good luck
Buy a second hand one. I got one only used 5 days and in an impeccable condition except the seal. I even got warranty. Look in Quickr or OLX. You might find some steals there

Its a good price ..

About Sony service centers!!

Hey Guys,,
I just have something to share and I want your advice ,,,
I have faced the yellow tint problem with my XPS but sadly I lost the warranty card, any on like me??
anyway I contacted many service centers in different countries and they didn't agree to fix my phone without the warranty card!!
As a last solution it looks like am going to fix it by myself I have to pay for the fix!!!
So, guys anyone of you could help me with a solution to get free repair from Sony?? if sadly not how much it will cost the screen any ideas??
Sorry for that, but if you lost your warranty card no-one will repair it for free. The price for the screen is most probably around half price of the phone. Maybe it's cheaper to you to stick with that tinted display.

Can they not help you with that at the store you bought it? ??
In denmark you don't mere the card, just the store receipt...

"most probably around half price of the phone"
the receipt is not enough unfortunately,,
What country? In Europe all you need is a proof or purchase that has the IMEI on it. A store receipt will do.

In perfect world it would be enough to identify yourself because they already have your details, they know what did you purchased and when, how you paid for that item etc.
Basically they're just make extra profit if you lose that worthless piece of paper (just try with fake receipt, they will immediately know it's fake).

I didnt even get a warranty card....?
Just brought it to the local sony repair centre(outsourced) and they took the imei down and repaired it under warranty.
thank you guys for your replays
I bought it from Dubai UAE, thats the problem they said I have to bring the warranty card its wired!! I mean its sony product its only few months since its released not even a year to say it has no warranty on it!!
if anyone of you guys could manage to contact your local sony centers and they agree to repair it , I can send it then!!
250 euros its the price oof a new screen in romania...
I live in dubai too.......i called more than 10 centers (yellow tint)and they wont repair it without the warranty card......I also bought without warranty ...
I Guess you just have to live with it or try to get it repaired for a cheap cost if possible...
they said they can repair it here for money.....talk to them

LCD Fix ?

Hi guys I have done something really bad , just purchased my One a week ago and everything was fine until I had to fly to Cancun mexico for a performance ( I'm a dj for an urban singer ) the problem is that I dropped my phone and broke the LCD , is there anyway to replace it ? This phone is built in a unibody style so I really doubt it but just wanted to make sure.
any help?
I believe your only good option would be to send it into HTC for repair. I remember reading a thread about someone already cracking the screen and it was around $200 or so for repair..
Assuming you do not have insurance on it?

I also just recently dropped mine and since I didn't purchase it thru AT&T (I bought it locally through an indivdual) my AT&T Insurance won't cover it. Since iFixit gave this phone a repair-ability rating of 1 out of 10 - the One is damn near impossible to repair. So, I called HTC and asked for an estimate to repair the cracked LCD. They quoted me a cost of 'up to $180' without looking at it. I sent it in to them, they received it today and now I'm waiting for them to call me with an actual quote. I will post here with my findings if anyone cares to know.
Ok, so HTC quoted me $180.00 to repair the broken LCD. Not too bad, in my opinion. Better than selling a broken device and losing hundreds.

[Q] Selling a broken one

Hi guys.
I've sent my z2 tab to repair. only the thouch, and can you try what happened?
yep, they broken my LCD. I'm crying here.
The price to repair is close to buy a new one.
Can you say something about a price to selling it to removal parts? I don't want to lose all my money.
It's hard to believe but it happens sometimes. If you are not careful about packing, it might be damaged in transit. If you have insurance, try to claim with carrier.
