[Q] Mobile Bravia Engine port to Sony Tablets? - Sony Tablet S

Anyone knows whether if it's possible to port Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine to our Sony Tablets? If I'm not mistaken, it was previously ported to Samsung phones.
Info: Mobile Bravia Engine combines contrast enhancement technologies used in Sony BRAVIA TVs with colour management, and adds sharpness filters and noise reduction to display vivid beautiful images and videos.

hey guys - trying to make some decision here as well - just tested the Live with Walkman - works awesome- everything is awesome - except for camera in low light ?
Is there a fix for that - maybe some custom ram which will enable it to perform better?
peace

well flash is good but if the light is low and the object is say - 5-6 meters away the flash will be of no use - I had some photos made today - and the images seemed with little detail and lots of noise on the WT19i ... this is why I asked if it could be fixed with some rom or app ? I am trying to find which is better the WT19i or the Wildfire S.
maybe a software issue :? also they had this yellowish color to them (could be a faulty headset) ?

LWW is better than Mini?! Funny words. Does LWW have Sony Bravia Engine? Does LWW have LED-Backlit? LWW's physical size is just 0.2 inch bigger than Mini (Overplus) and LWW has front camera (Have you ever used that?). Besides, LWW's Pixel Denisty is 180 and Mini's is 192. And... I would never buy LWW because of its design; I love Mini's design (Personal Idea). I just didn't spot weight.

Cm9 brightness ?

Hello ,Am now using Cm9 for Xperia s & I've noticed that the screens maximum brightness is much dimmer. Is there a way to manually adjust the maximum brightness on the phone? Perhaps via some configuration text file or something?
Thanks.
there is an app in the playstore called "root dimmer", i think you can max it out with that.

I've already tried it and it's useless on cm9..Maybe it's a bug which will be fixed soon! Hope so : )
i think you will have to live with that, as Bravia Engine is disabled on CM9. Not sure if this does make the display brighter but it's way brighter on the stock ROM so i dont think its a bug.

I don't think its a Bravia Engine issue,Cause as you can tell it dosen't actually works on ICS as it were in gingerbread, where you can really see the difference if u turned it off !!
cm10 doesnt have that problem though

Not bad quality, maybe some lack of contrast but that can be fixed post.

[REQUEST][XPS] Xperia V Bravia Engine 2 port to Xperia S

Is there any possibility of the Bravia Engine 2 to be ported to our lovely Xperia S?:cyclops: I saw the EVO 3D forum and there was a section about it, but I am not sure if it works on XPS
+1 to this.
I remember some clever person made a flashable zip so Xperia play could have bravia1 engine
make for XP also..
As BE doesn't work anymore on my XS after unlocking the BL I'd love to see a port of the BE2 working on our beloved ICS version!
1) Bluetooth 4.0 (the Xperia T has Bluetooth 3.1).
2) Mobile BRAVIA Engine2: An evolution of Mobile BRAVIA Engine delivering an ever better viewing experience by adding a new real-time contrast optimisation and improving sharpness enhancement on top of high quality colour management and noise reduction.
3) ClearAudio+ mode: Developed with Sony’s own signal processing technologies, allows users to effortlessly enjoy audio quality that may have been stripped away by music compression. ClearAudio+ mode incorporates a variety of Sony’s sound technologies, but with one simple operation, users can easily enjoy Sony recommended sound in ultimate clarity and presence, across the entire spectrum of sound.
4) HDR (High Dynamic Range): The camera quickly captures the image twice with different exposure levels and layers it together to create one optimised photo. HDR is automatically activated when Superior Auto detects scenes with strong backlight.
5) Superior Auto: Technology used in Sony Cyber-shot Digital Cameras that intelligently detects scenes (up to nine scenes), sets most optimal settings for still image, and applies best image processing including layered technology (up to four photos), making it easy to get the best shot even in a dark or backlight scene.
THESE ARE THE UPCMING NEW FEATURES IN XPERIA V (I Still Don't Kno Why They Called Xperia T Flagship)
We Need To Port All 2,3,4,5 If They Are Not Hardware Based!

[Q] Unlocking Bootloader

I ordered a ultra z lte U.S version i believe c6806 it has not came in yet . I have experience in rooting and unlocking things for htc and samsung so this is new for me for sony devices. I have a concern after a TA backup and unlocking bootloader. What all do you loose after boot loader unlock? The main thing i would like to keep is the catch and throw DLNA support. And how does the screen look before and after bootloader unlock. Is xrealty better? Thank you.
You'll only lose X-Reality, but X-Reality is only active in the gallery and movie app. I personally think X-Reality is bad, and it won't look good unless you have a full 20GB 1080p movie playing. I do not miss it at all.

What about the Bravia engine? I like the extreme saturation of the colors when looking at images. I just upgraded to .290, and I haven't yet unlocked the bootloader for fear of losing my pretty photos just to reroot. X-reality i haven't seen working, i had heard it does work in other video apps like youtube, but I can't tell, so its not a big loss. I have the TA backed up anyway if its possible to unlock and restore that would be ideal.
You can restore the ta partition, thus relock the boatloads. Just search, I think it is in the general thread.

Yeah, Bravia got replaced by X-Reality in one of the earlier 5xx firmware updates. What's the difference between those two? I'm not 100% sure, but the Bravia engine adds saturation etc. to stuff while X-Reality adds saturation etc. plus sharpness. Again, i'm not sure.
Here's a good article from Android Authority about X-Reality and Triluminos.
