Hello guys , i have an important problem. I'm not having router in home, so im using connectify to create ad-hoc, when im on cm7 phone sees this ad-hoc conection, but on stock it doesnt. Please help because i prefer stock than cm but i need wifi connection. I heard aout some changing in wpa.supplicant but im noob, so please help!
You need to change wpa_supplicant binary that has been modified to display adhoc wlan (not wpa_supplicant.conf)
Try using wpa_supplicant from cm7 or googlng.
do you know it will work on cm9 by maclaw?

There is an app on google play (Wifi ad hoc enabler) that, for some devices, enables wifi ad-hoc connection (read carefully the warning of the dev).
In my personal experience I used it on both stock 2.3.5 (Vod-Ita) and stock (2.3.6) or cm based custom rom and I never got any problem, rarely some "Error" message from wifi. And now I keep on connecting at home without a wifi router and with damn Windows Vista on notebook (btw if you got Win7 you can set up an infrastructure network with connectify!)

it's also not working on cm9 by maclaw. i've tried it.
i accidently flashed cm7 on my lg p500 2.2.1, without backingup my stock rom. now after installing , theres no network connection i.e. i cant make calls and sms. and the baseband version shows as unknown, imei unknown. i cant connect to google account, so that i can use my android. pl help me urgent. cm 7-20120701 nightly p500 is the cm mod version.

Ya but custom roms are cooler themn official roms so you should use them.
As far as I know there is currently not any available 4.2 custom ROM available for the S2. Suggest you start following activities here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1204 I've started using JellyBam recently as the developer is constantly updating/active. I'm a newb myself but from what I understand - nightly means a ROM still in development (i.e. not fully complete) whereas a stable release is a ROM that has all the essentials and only getting tweaking.
Galaxy S3 will never get a stable release as Samsung don't want to give us the Exynos sources needed to make a complete ROM (i.e. to make it 'stable' per se). However, the nightlies on some builds are fantastic and can easily be used for daily purposes. Don't know much about Pac Man Rom though, so can't help you there.

Hi Steve,
I´ve tried this update, after doing all the procedure to install it gets stucked at the htc one logo, I don´t know if i´m doing something wrong but with the previous version it gave me no problem.
anyways I wanna thank you for your effort making this rom, after tried it a couple of days its an awesome work you did there.
Same thing here, no luck. Stuck on logo. Tried both kernel-rom flash combination but phone freeze on logo afther AT&T sign. 6.3 works.
6.4 update problems
Hi,
I have been using 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 Elegancia to keep this phone still functional, so I was very happy to see an update to this rom. I have flashed the boot.img from the zip, and then updated the rom. However on reboot, the rom hangs on the second htc ONE screen (after the ATT logo) and is frozen. It will not power off with power button even after holding it for more than 1 minute, so I have to just let the battery run down. Once it is recharged, I can then get back into recovery.
I have downloaded the rom twice and gone through the install 3 times, all with the same result. I was able to back up to 6.3 and get the phone operating again.
Any ideas?
By the way, thanks lots Steve for supporting this abandoned phone. I have one of the 64g versions, so I hate to replace it after only 1.5 years.

Flashed back to 6.3 as well.. tried different combo's of kernel flashing and reboots, cache clears.. nothing worked to get 6.4 past boot screen

TWRP re-install of 6.3 after 6.4 failed - says failed - but - it boots up. Also, noticed the 6.4 install claimed it was 6.3 when installing.
After going back to 6.3, started getting "twitter stopped", "youtube stopped", and the apps were downloading like crazy from the app store. I assume this is because the old versions were pulled from the zip for 6.3 I had used. Once everything downloaded, 6.3 was working fine again.
Thanks for doing this great work - keeping my phone alive for a while longer!
Well, this is the end of the road. Not for my phone but any future updates based on f... at&t. Becouse I living outside of USA and got problems with tethering and constant lose of mobile data service(4g letters disappearance). Find a nandroid stock backup of telus 1.20.661.1 updated through ota to 1.20.661.3. Android version 4.1 but works fine, without att junk. Thanks Steve for everythig I learn a lot. Used your rom for a long time, just can't stand any trace of arrogant restriction of att. All the best.

severe battery draining with streaming audio
On 6.3 but recently I can't stream for more than 2 hours and then battery is toast. I used to be able to stream 8+ hours no problem. I think it might be related to mediaserver but not sure. Anyone else having the problem?

Installed 6.5 and it works great - minor permissions issue
Had to tell it to fix permissions before root access worked. Was already running 6.3, all I did was put the .zip on the sdcard, tell twrp to install without wiping. After the booting/updating finished, I tried to update busybox but failed due to no root access. All I had to do was use twrp in recovery and have it fix permissions and it's working great. The sense toolkit which gave me problems with 6.3 worked perfect and the performance actually seems snappier than with 6.3.

I had the same issue, at first. Not sure exactly what fixed it, but, it seems that after rebooting into recovery and then back to system, it was working and I was rooted once again. The 2 obvious issues that I do see with 6.5 is slow charging and bad battery life.

Elegancia 6.5.0 working fine, but...
Rom is working wonderfully, however i was wondering, since it still seems like it's vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug, if that will ever get patched? It appears that all HTC One X+ on AT&T running software version 2.15.502.1 are still vulnerable until they get patched to version 2.15.502.2 which as near as I can tell was only released via an OTA update to stock phones.
I love the ROM, but I cannot seem to find a fox for the Heartbleed issue anywhere, and no ROM seems to have this fixed (I've tried every one of them for this phone) except the stock ROM (on which performance & battery life suck) & I cannot find a fix anywhere it seems.
Any help would be appreciated.

Use the Amplify app that was installed with the rom. My battery life improved drastically, it takes a few days (and a couple full cycle charges) to get the battery life up. With heavy use, I get through most of a day with no charger, or a full day on wifi, which uses less juice.
Make sure you turn of NFC in the settings, it has a HUGE impact on battery life. Also GPS when you don't use it as well.

I did a full wipe from another rom to Elegancia 6.5.0, which has mostly worked. I lost root, but I downloaded the SU zip, provided in the thread, and flashed it, which restored root access. Everything else seems to be working with the exception of the sense toolbox. I can try reflashing eventually, but I wasn't sure if anyone else had this issue.
I can select and modify any of the settings. If I do transparency, some of it takes effect. I tried to change the status bar icons or click the remove clock in app drawer... these never take effect. They stayed checked or selected, yet they do not ever change with hard or soft reboot.

You need to enable the Xposed installer framework (you may need to download and install it, the app should already be on your phone as it is part of the ROM), and then reboot, then enable the sense 5 toolbox within the Xposed framework and do a soft reboot, if you made changes within the sense 5 toolbox, then they will take effect after the 2nd reboot.
