Lock screen status bar - HTC Amaze 4G

I just had something random happen. I have the Aug 6th EnergyRom with faux v22. When on the lockscreen with pincode I was able to pull the status bar down. No complaints as I actually like tht.
Does anyone know where I would modify the file to continue doing tht while staying locked?

It's a feature of ice cream sandwich i believe. Use the feature to your hearts content.

It's a feature of ICS, but you shouldn't be able to pull it down if you have any type of security lock set up...

What this guy said.

Never lock my phone, but totally makes sense. Would be a nice feature though. But also possible security loophole?
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda app-developers app

Yeah I found it weird that I could do tht with my pincode set but would be nice just so I can disable data and GPS in quicksettings while on a long train ride.

Evo3D ROOT RETAINED AFTER SHUT DOWN BUT NOT AFTR BTTRY PULL

OK MAKE THAT SORTA PERM UNLESS U PULL THE BATTERY...LOL
Recently i posted a thread where i was able quite by chance to shut down and restart my temp rooted evo 3d quite by accident. I have experimented with this method and it is stable, dependable and works, i do not loose root when i power off, and power back up.
Its as simple as this on my temp rooted evo 3d, hit the power button to get the shut down choices window, i choose power off (shut down) and as the evo starts to shut down and the screens start to change i hit the power button a few times, the evo powers completly off.. And i power it back on, and it boots up and has root as confirmed by titanium backup and cpu master.
Thats it folks... My evo 3d does it ! Wether yours will..i dont know..
It may ulitmatly depend on how you rooted it..not sure..

Remove the battery, do you still have root?
doesnt work for me
plus theres situations where 3D freezes and u have to pull out battery
so wouldnt call it permanent root
Do you have fastboot checked? Have you tried a battery pull?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Your basically fast booting it but cool story bro !
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
That because you have fastboot enabled. Uncheck that and power down. I bet you
$1,000 its gone after that

Not sure where fast boot is..but ill find it and see if its checked, and..even i.. Am pretty sure that if we pull the battery its going to vaporize the root...
Sorry didnt mean to make a false alarm..its midnight and brain is in sprint employee mode...( no i dont work there..just saying i was being dumb..) lolololol

Screen Off Animation

Anyone else notice the Photon 4G has the gingerbread screen off animation? It is pretty slick! Numerous HTC and Samsung devices lack this feature. Another major +1 for Photon

I'm using the agile lockscreen currently, and it is similar where it has the 4 icons you can customize and unlock the phone too different apps but it is a touch laggy compared to true sense and it lacks the nice weather/social/txt/music screen options sense 3.0 brings. I dont mind doing a few work arounds though as this phone trumps the evo 3d I had for 35 days or so prior
What screen off animation are you talking about? I have animations turned on but I'm not sure what you are referring to.

When you hit the power button the screen shuts off like an old tube tv
Sent from my MB855 using XDA Premium App
I'm sitting there like a jackass turning on and off the screen and didn't even realize that was an animation I was staring at. Its just so fluent and smooth I didn't think twice. I was thinking you guys were referring to a fade out kind of animation, maybe something even jazzier.
They did a good job, I just accepted it without questioning it and I should know better.
Hehe, I turned off animations. But I do like that old tube look

[Q] Can I customize the haptic feedback?

I know I can turn it on and off, but is there a way to soften the vibration? There's an app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netqin.ps that requires a login passcode when you open it that has the perfect vibration feedback, and would rather all of my haptics respond like that.
The app is brilliant too btw... It helps when you have pics of your spouse you don't want friends/family to see as they look through your gallery

Maybe I should have put "i hate my amaze" "amaze vs sgs2" "this phone got ics before we did" or "when will we get ics or jellybean."
Then I would have gotten a reponse for sure.

I swear I know what you mean..... And I would love to reply but I do not use haptic feedback its unnecessary for me.....

some roms have integrated custom adjustment of the vibration, but nothing on a stock amaze, its either on or off

Thanks for your reply. There's nothing stock about my Amaze outside of the hardware... Maybe I will pm NRGZ28 and request the addition for the next release.

Turn haptic feedback off when typing?
Has anyone found a way to turn it off when typing using the default keyboard? It's rather annoying. I've turned it off, but it still vibrates when typing. Looking forward to any fixes, suggestions, etc. Thanks.

you just go into keyboard settings, input settings or whatever then untick "vibrate"
Thanks! That did the trick.

How come like most HTC devices allow u to keep the LCD screen on while in a conversation or have I over looked something, I'm not blind just can't find it lol

I don't understand what you're asking. You want to keep the screen on while in a call or you want the screen off while in a call?

My screen seems to shut off when I'm using it, I have to push power button to turn it back on to end call so why does it not stay on or when u move it shouldn't the screen come back on? My IncS always stayed on while in call, just wondering?

You can set your power button to end calls. Settings > Accessibility and choose the option. But the screen should turn back on after the sensor senses that its not against your face. Not sure why its not for your setup.
I changed what u mentioned, now I'll wait for a call lol and thanks

You can also click your video camera button to turn the screen on.

what is the most usefull lockscreen in your opinion

what is your favorite lock screen
no lock screen is what i prefer.
Widgetlocker is the best lockscreen replacement there is.
I'm curious what others use too. I always use stock myself
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
I bought widget locker many devices ago and with all of them there were too many problems to justify keeping it. Works flawlessly on this device. I just don't like the "delay due to recent home button press", but I suppose it's more to due with JB/ICS if I read correctly. So, yeah, widget locker.

Your pocket never pushes anything? I saw you say in another thread the same thing. I'm always just worried about somehow getting my phone jacked and some ass hat having access to my stuff.

I don't usually use a lockscreen either. I have never carried a cellphone in my pocket, I prefer to use a holster, and my phone is never out of my sight except when I'm at home.
I love the octo lock screen from AOKP, I can have 8 shortcuts/apps and change the icons, I just wish I could get it to work on touchwiz based roms like Beans.
one that requires me to input a pattern / password

nope not once...this device does not pocket dial from what i have seen.
Good thread. I've been trying them all out lately and have had trouble deciding on just one. I wish the pin lock would automatically accept it after you enter the correct 4 digits rather than having to press ok after.
I prefer not having a PIN or pattern lock, if my phone gets lost somewhere it makes it impossible for whoever finds it to go through the contacts trying to find "Me" or "Home", or from them opening a social media app and see who I am.
I run Cerberus anyways, so if it's gets stolen I can lock it remotely.
Widget locker is good. Anything with shortcuts for me.
