HTC devices has the most widest varieties of ROMs, mods, themes.... name it......... u definitely cant argue on that.......... Depends on what part you want to theme. Status bar icons would be relatively easy but if talking about sense widgets that's hard to do because sense launcher ie Rosie uses something called m10 files which are very difficult to work with and on sense 4.0 there is only one team that I'm aware of that has accomplished it. But a number of other launchers have sense themes just search sense in the play store.
And just for the record to the others talking about sense. 4.1 is nothing like the older versions far lighter and less intrusive. I've been on miui v4 cm9 cm10 and I keep going back to sense based roms.

I don't mind the looks, as long as it's blazing fast, extremely smooth n compatible with all hardwares on Xperia S, that's fine.

Sense ports are very hard. I've done 2 before and both were given up. If you want Sense looks for tutorials for the UI from my YouTube or if you want speed, look for a fast ROM and make the transition and windows animations on fast/0.5x

I've a fd using HTC Sensation XE n he he installed more apps n widgets than me, but his phone still extremely smooth n fast, both my Xperia S n his Sensation XE r running on stock ICS 4.0.4 n both phone using the exact same chipset, CPU n GPU, his phone only got 768MB RAM rather than 1024MB on mine, his phone used to hv 160MB RAM free n my phone used to hv 200MB RAM free.
So theoretically my phone should be faster n smoother.

[Q] [QUERY] HTC SENSE on GALAXY S2

well i really really want to buy Galaxy S2 ... its just that I feel I would be missing out on HTC Sense if I go with this one instead of HTC EVO 3D !

Post in the right place... Geez
And try searching.
Anything is possible, but the output is likely useless, with a barely working rom tbh
As a point of reference, Sense ports on SGS1 were all dead in the water.
Just don't hold too much hope for it. It ain't coming in working form anytime soon.

Sense UI is proprietary, meaning that unless I've got my ip laws confused, they can sue the **** out of anyone who ports this htc software to non-htc phones. and of course, not to mention that they'll lock down anything proprietary pretty good, just like sony did with x10 bootloaders.
I mean c'mon many are buying htcs because of sense, if you could port it to another phone and it was better design etc won't people migrate to using that phone? htc would want to protect its business interests.

I don't understand apart from :
1.HTC Locations ( zero loading maps) => Uncomparable
2.Friend Stream (with amazing facebook integration) => Timescape is a little worse
3.The clock widget => Use a Skinned and moddified and Beautiful Widgets pack
4.Skinning your launcher => ADW and LauncherPro
It is Just the name HTC Sense which increases it's value...
All custom UI's are good in their own ways
Sense is the best among them
But It is very hard to port , I'm working on it !
not TMS but actual Sense

[Q] No themes for those without root?

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I don't know why I can't seem to find the answer.
A while ago, we had the Androidian theme, for those of us who aren't rooted. Since T-mobile's OTA update to 2.3.4, that theme no longer works. I don't like any of the launcher programs, and was wondering why no one else bothered to make themes tow ork with our phones. I don't want to root it just to flash a new ROM since there is no use to me. I do like the stock HTC Desire HD 'theme'.. I think most of you just call it Sense. Can someone tell me why it is that there are no themes for our phones? Is it hard to make it work with our version of the UI?
Thanks in advance.

To answer your last question. What isn't it giving you.
Running a custom rom let's you fully modify your rom, themes galore. Running cm7, you have a there chooser app that let's you switch theme out constantly. If you pick sense, there's so many variety to pick from. Having your phone stock is like owning Lincoln logs, you can only do so much. If your rooted, your playing with Lego's, there's no limit to what can happen.
Edit: if you have a question, go to the q&a section. some people get annoyed, if you post in the wrong area. Just a heads up.
If I helped, give thanks, if you please.

That right there is more reason to root. When I was on stock I had numerous problems and numerous returns, oh and tmobiles solution to everything...a master reset. Since root I haven't had a single issue. Most of the devs roms are far more superior than the crap HTC ships on the phone or what tmobile thinks you should like. Good luck on stock themes because no one will but in the effort to theme it.

Why wouldnt u wanna root???? That crazy man.
Though I realize rooting isn't for everyone, I will make a short list of reasons to do so:
Speed, most of not all custom roms are faster than stock. That includes custom sense roms.
Battery life: underclocking and undervolting your phone can extend the battery life.
Tethering: most of us have issues paying twice for internet access. I already pay twenty bucks a month, why should I give you fifteen more to use the CAPPED internet I already pay for?!
Themeing: the options are near limitless. If you need proof, check the threads for home screens in the general Android themes section.
Removal of unwanted bloatware. Tmobile TV, games you don't want, etc.
Back up. nandroid backups are complete.
These are some of the reasons why I root. I am sure there are more!

it is old work now no one works on MIUI
Well i'm back... finally finished my exams and got some time for myself.
But i have a bit of bad news. I've been studying android and how it's build and how it works and i'm afraid this might be an impossible port to make for now. I've looked into the Galaxy 3 port and it's not an actual port. It's just the framework. So it is possible to port apps from the rom but they might not work fully because of incompatible libs.
Now about the libs, they are compiled specifically for a type of processor (in miui case armv7) which have some instructions built in. While armv7 may run armv6 libs it's not possible the other way around. So even if we got the phone to boot, and got the launcher and a few miui apps running it wouldn't be miui.
I see that SWEATTAIMI is still working to complete the port of the framework and i wish him the best of luck but i will have to step down since i am working on other android projects that are more likely to come to an end than this.

Thats because both sense and miui are close sourced,so if we encounter a bug after porting the rom,it is not possible to fix it.

If you used you computer for searching you could try the Sense-port ROM which should be rather unstable or in a non-working state...
But why do the work yourself when you can start a new topic to fill the board...
A simple search would have helped. Sense4 ROM is being ported to the S2. It isn't really usable right now. No other ROM is "Sense-like" for the SGS II. Why don't you just get AOSP/AOKP? Much better if you ask me. Maybe you can apply Sense Theme using the Theme Chooser in CM9/AOSP/CM10/AOKP ROMs?
Just try the ROMs and read like everybody else.
