In ICS CM9 I could establish a static IP (adhoc) WiFi connection, but cannot in JB CM10. Just wanted to bring some attention to this for the developers, as this is a useful ICS feature.

Jarmez wifi calling app for ics breaks wifi whenever I install over any ics Tom's. I've tried passion, one cosmics, docs, no luck always breaks wifi where it wont turn on. That's the only feature keeping me from ifs so if I could get it to work it'd be awesome. Any ideas?

You need ics roms to tether in infrastructure mode.. If nook cam connect to adhoc Internet then you can use GB. I'm on ICS redefined and I'm tethering my zoom using wifi tether with galaxy nexus as the device profile.

Hy guys, I make it short.
My problem is that i cannot build a connection to an 802.1x EAP network that i got in school. I can see the network but cant get an connection at all, the phone just try to connect .
This problem exists since GB 2.3.6 but therefore was a patch. I attached the file.
I updated to ICS now it is not working again and there isnt a patch neither.
Is there a way to make it possible.

Hello, for the first time in trying to use stock os on a phone, only thing i have changed is i have rooted the phone. So i don't have option to use built in WiFi hotspot, so my question is which app is a good replacement to get the same functionality as built in hotspot?

Wifi Tether from Play Store works just fine for me!
For wired tethering, I choose to use dropbear, forward a port through adb and create a tunnel over SSH. This way I can use my phone's data connection in one browser (as a proxy), and regular connection in another. Useful for browsing at work.
+1 for WiFi tether for Root. Make sure to select generic ics for the profile.
