Hiya people!
I had a HTC Desire HD before getting my One X.
On my DHD I bought Shazam and as the happy user I was, everything worked correctly.
Now, May or so, when I got the One X, I synced the phone with my Google account and downloaded all my recently apps that I used.
Shazam was one of those apps.
Unfortunatly.. Shazam did not work.
When I start Shazam it just shows the error message "Shazam - Could not establish a connection (ftu.ope)" at the Setting up Shazam screen..
I've never been able to use Shazam with my One X in other words..
I have contacted the Shazam support three times now, with like 1.5 months apart, with no response from them at all..
So I'm turning to you guys, do any of you have the same problem or are you using Shazam with your One X with no problems at all?

Try un install and reinstall. Sometimes works! Or get the apk and try (since u had bought the app, it wouldn't be an immoral thing to do. U r just trying a different option! )

Sad to say that I've uninstalled and reinstalled it a thousand times =/ Did also try to download the freemium and premium apks (different versions) to no avail =/
Can it be that the app locked onto my DHD when I bought it, as it was connected to my google account?

Skype say not supported.. due to Wildfire small screen

Don't bother, the Skype in the market FC closes all the time.
Also use appbrain to install it, See my guide in General section.

anyway it wont connect, i got connection error and i'm unable to use it
I downloaded it from the normal Android Market. Managed to sign in but it was a bit sluggish. The real problem was trying to exit the app. Apparently the Log Out option is in one of the tabs, My Info I think it was. Whenever I try to press that tab, I get a force close and the app restarts and logs me back in. Ended up having to kill it.
Don't know if I can call or text yet because I uninstalled straight away. Nimbuzz will do fine until they sort it out.
i could log-in via wlan,but skype crashed instantly when i tried to do anything (htc default rom)
Just installed and it's working fine....
Worked fine on OD 4.0.32. Really had no issues with it except the sneaky log out button.. im gonna try it on stock 2.2 and report back..

Wildfire - NO
Just installed on Wildfire (via .apk). Screen and graphics looked great, but when clicking on My Info or trying something else, it keeps crashing. Lets hope, that Skype devs will make it work also for this very popular device
Same here. I can login, but clicking on any button crashes the app. Very sad, I was hoping to finally have Skype on my phone.
I wrote a mail to the support, they just answered that the Wilfire isn´t supported at the moment.
So at least there is probability, that it's only "at the moment" and in future, there will be release for small res. phones...
Everything works fine,but i can't make calls.Chatting works fine,info works fine.

How are you able to chat? As soon as I try to, the app crashes. Are you using the app just released by Skype or a different version?
I'm wondering too... my crashed, before i tried to set online statu in My info...

I downloaded and installed the beta skype apk from rapidshare.I cant make a call from wifi (skype credit only),but everything else works like a charm in my wildfire.I use the original 2.1 wildfire rom with no mods and stuff.
I just installed Revolution HD 4.1.5 on my Sensation. Been using it about 14 hours. The capacitive buttons never light up. I have tried boot in several ways, slow booting by removing battery and fast boot(with fast boot setting on). Before when I was Revolution 3.6.3. reboot usually solve the problem. Any solution?
The rest of the firmware is Great!!

The four softkey's light can be switched either on and off. you can ask your developers to give you the code to turn it on.
hi guys, I have installed this ROM, and I thought it have Sense 3.5 it will have new lockscreen like androidgingerbread.us/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/
HTC-Sense-3.5-Ported-to-Desire-HD.jpg ... It doesn't ... no I see I have to set it somewhere.. maybe.. can you help mw, how to get this lockscreen? ...

hi, copy all text of URL and paste, then delete space between "09/" AND "HTC-"... I had to place it there because I am new here and I cannot post links.
And other question: I had on my stock ROM htc widgets: battery status and Notes. Now, I cannot find them in HTC hub. And some apps I can't find in market - like skype for example. BTW: there is written "installed" on web market, but some of these apps are not in the phone.
And the last problem... (I hope) ... I have experienced some restarts without obvious reason. Is that caused by OC? Should I flash "1,2GHz script" or wait a few days if it stops :? ... Thanks for answers )

I saw the picture. You can probably call your Rom developers to put it in.
Use "market enabler" to fake t-mobile provider, then open market again, you will have it.
OC will cause those problem. Try to run lower clock. And unstable kernels may lead to those problem too.

I guess I don't know how to use market enabler... I still cannot find for example skype for androind, on the market... Can you give me please more specific advice? BTW: on my stock ROM, there were available HTC widgets (battery status, notes), which I can't find now at the HTC hub... What should I do to get them please?

Cannot find it = your Rom developer removed it. Ask him to make a flashable zip to add it back.
Download market enabler, go to setting, long press tmobile, press fake now. Then go market and find Skype, it should be there.

Anyone having issues using Chrome to Phone after updating to new RUU? Mine doesnt work at all even after I reinstalled it.
how did u reinstall it? did u use Titanium back up? if you did then just deactivate and then re-activate with you google account and it should work

Im running Nils Business ICS v3.2 .. I uninstalled and reinstalled on computer and phone still no workie!!!!!!!
do u use multiple google accounts? make sure its the right one... i have had that problem before

If you have changed phones or roms numerous times Google for some reason after so many different phones or roms has a hard time recognizing the phone. I got this off of a lengthy article about this exact problem. I have changed phones and roms so many times I have the same issue. I just use Linkpush, works great.

Hi,
I have an HTC Titan and used to run Shazam OK, but stopped working.
Uninstalled, restarted, re-installed and the same issue.
I have sent my phone back to HTC and they have completely reflashed it - everything else works fine. I am still using 8107.
I have once again downloaded Shazam and I get the error "couldnt complete setup at this time. Please try later. Error (2)"
Any ideas?

If even HTC couldn't fix it won't it be worth checking if Shazam can advice anything?
Also, check out the in-built music recognition via search button. I've never needed anything like Shazam or Soundhound after using that. It also links me to marketplace for some songs I want to download or buy! - I love it.

Agree, the built in solution (accessed by the magnifying glass followed buy the music symbol) works OK - no where near as accurate as Shazam based on my experience though.
Have mailed Shazam AGAIN .... still waiting for a response.

Before downloading ANY other apps, I downloaded Shazam and tried to run it.
Same problem as before, 'cant install at this time' blah blah…

I can live without Shazam, the built in app is OK but that's not the point....

Hi,
I've lost my phone... I know the place but when asked security no one reported it. So.. I changed my gmail passwrord, my facebook and some more.
Now I got a new phone, and in the play store I can see that my phone was used yesterday. I have no idea how is this possible, but I want to know if I can do anything to report the phone as stolen, wipe the data, or something. It was an unlocked phone... maybe I have the imei somewhere.
Unfortunately I lost it in my holidays, so it is in another country.
Any ideas? (attached is the screenshot)

Today, with my new phone, I entered in play store in my PC. Then when I chose to install an app, it asked me which phone. My previous phone was there but with Zain JO (Jordan) and yesterday was the last access. I've chosen to install the Plan B app from the market and see if it works.
Weird is, I changed my gmail password the same day I lost it (on 16th). Go here https://play.google.com/store/account, and then settings (it is the attached screenshot).
For anyone still interested.. nothing that I tried worked. Now.. still interesting is the fact that the phone keeps appearing in the google store and now it changed the carrier again. Check the Jordan one.
Is there anything to do? As I said before I've changed my google password so.. no idea why it keep changing but for sure, someone is still using it
