How To Mount SD card on Archos 80 G9 ? - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I have a new 80 G9. How do I mount the SD card as a mass storage device, it is not visible under my computer on PC? My PC's are win xp and win 7.Android 3.2.1

Sounds like you need drivers.
Is the SD card readable from device? If so then drivers for PC
If not then either SD card fault or firmware.
Are you on custom or stock rom?

Mount android phone as usb hdd

I tried to mount my galaxy s as a usb hdd yesturday but the g tablet didn't seem to recognize it.
So I guess this is a 2 part question;
1) what format would the sd card in my phone be I assume it's ext
2) does vegan gingerbread support it?

If an android device can read your sdcard then your all good. Unfortunately I don't think this is an available feature, yet at least. Gotta mount the card after u remove it from the phone. No USB support for mounting SD in other Droid devices. And most commonly microsds formatted as fat32.
darn. i was hoping that when i plug my phone in to the tablet, it would just recognize it as a normal usb flash drive. guess that isn't the case.

[Q] missing SDCard when Nook Tablet 8gb connects to ChrUbuntu Acer C7 chromebook

I have a rooted OF NT8GB with the following issue
missing SDCard when Nook Tablet 8gb connects to my Acer C7 chromebook running ChrUbuntu
so I see the 4GB internal data partition of the Nook Tablet 8gb but there is no hint of the external SD Card
I really only keep stuff on the SD card because we all know the internal partition can be wiped out and reset by the device
lsusb will list the NT8GB but not the external SD card
I certainly do not want to eject the SD card from the tablet
Note when I connect the Nook Tablet 8gb to my WIN7 Acer Laptop i see both the Nook tablet and the external SD card in the tablet
as 2 separate drives with 100% success
I really want to resolve this so I can switch over to Ubuntu completely
TIA
Dave

[Q] cant see microsd card when connected to Ubuntu 12 Laptop

Nook Tablet 8GB Stock firmware (BN Gingerbread) Rooted
I have a 32gb microsd card in Nook tablet that works connected to Win 7 Acer laptop
when Nook tablet is connected to a Chromebook with Ubuntu 12.04 (chrubuntu) microsd card not visible
and does not not show up in # sudo lsusb
Please advise
Note I have no plans to goto CM on this tablet, I do have an HD+ on CM 10.1
TIA
Dave
Don't you have a card reader on your laptop? I don't know much about Ubuntu or Linux is, but maybe it can't read your file system on your SD card. I thought it read them all, could be wrong.

Ok, might be a wierd one.
I run Ubuntu 13.04 which sees both the internal (EMMC) and external sdcards.
And depending on how you connect they show up as internal storage (EMMC) or SD Card (external) if connected as a Media device (MTP), or as MyNOOK for internal (EMMC) or NOOK_16GB for the external 16 gb microsdcard. In the desktop file manager.
lsusb doesn't list either one, but they are there.
The NookTablet is there listed as Bos 002 Device 007: ID 18d1:6868 Google Inc.
That is under CM 10.2, though.

Removable storage is blank or has unsupported file

Tried formatting and doing CMD on the card. But my chuwi hi10 cant read my 2g card. it displays the memory capacity tho. In windows it works nicely. and tried other SDcard too.
It has worked cause i rooted the tabled with it
EDIT: I tried my 64g card and it dindt want to reconise it but i formatted the card with the tabled but now it says its a 1.84g card?
Does supersu update maybe be at fault?
OMg i FASHED MY chuwi hi10 but still it wont reconise the SDcards and now my 6 g card is messed up its not even 6 gig anymore? and i cant Root my chywi hi 10 if i cant use my SDcard? or can i do it from USB port?

Struggling to format memory card as exFAT

I have a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70F (2015) tablet that runs Android 6.0.
I have a new 32 GB microSD card.
When I inserted the card into the tablet, Android asked me to format it, which I accepted.
When I connect the tablet to my Windows 10 PC and try to transfer 5 GB video files onto the memory card, it fails (no error message, just an error sound).
I presume it's because Android formatted the memory card as FAT32?
So I connected the memory card to my PC manually and formatted it to exFAT using Windows' built-in format tool but when I reinsert it back into the tablet, Android says it's corrupted and needs formatting.
Any ideas?
