[Q] Questoin about Jelly Bean ROM's - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Are there any Jelly Bean 4.1.2 ROM's that have roam only. I have searched extensively and had no luck, what am I missing?

The devs are busy enough tring to get the mobile network with sprint working well right now so I don't think there are going to be roaming options for a while. Why do you want roaming so bad anyways is sprints network slow were you are?

Roam control app ftw? A new version is out on the devs website

Roam control apps do not seem to work on my phone, they only crash the ROM's. Service in the areas I work has been terrible for the last several months, roam only allows me to have a stable connection, even if it's slower. I miss my Evo 4G some times... At least the option for roam only always worked in the ROM's on that phone. I am using a Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch now, and roam only never works on it at all.

MeanBean

That was good help!
I greatly appreciate the help! Wish I would have had it before I switched phones. Now I have to figure out how to force Roming on my Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch.

Ah. Well the wife has it.
I'll leave it at that

My fiance has one I hate having to match modems to ROMs so much easier on a HTC. It was extremely easy to root tho.

[Q] HTC Sense 3.0 Lockscreen?

Hello all!
I was just wondering if this will work on the TB. The video over at Phandroid makes it seem pretty cool, and one of the comments mentioned that it would work on the Thunderbolt. Does anyone have it working? Is it available for the TB or any of the ROMs out?
check it out (video included) here:
http://phandroid.com/2011/05/05/download-htc-sense-3-0-lockscreen-for-select-evo-roms/
looking for the same thing! can you tell me if you have rooted your TB?
I've been trying the "Easy Root" program for days without luck.

That lockscreen is indeed sick.
Notice the [Q] in your thread title?
Notice the "Q" & A section in the Thunderbolt forum?
JohnDaddyo,
Yes, I am using a rooted TB. I used the manual method that avlfive linked to, as I thought it was the best bet. I didn't know anything about it, but as long as you have SOME computer knowledge, you should be fine. Knowing basic DOS commands comes in handy.
g00s3y,
Sorry! (I thought this was more of a development issue... and more of a "work in progress" kind of a topic). many apologies
This tells me VZ phones models are always a step or two behind other carrier's.
Panties in a knot today?

I think metroPCS has it.
That's correct, but none of the other four national carriers do, and their footprint is like five cities since they're regional

Anyways, there is no sense 3.0 goodies for the thunderbolt yet. You guys may want to wait until theres an actual phone that has 3.0 released before wanting it on thunderbolt

I try to be patient but seriously... not only did you not search and find the dozen threads that have covered this but you couldn't even be bothered to make the effort to describe your needs and what you are looking for in a phone.
Really? This crap again? Learn to use search you bloody noob.

That's pretty mean to lie to someone just to get rid of them.
If you like signal strength and data speed, than this is the phone you want. Nexus is nice but the radio's suck. I have both, and the nexus sucks, and I flashed all the possible combo's of radio's that are out there..........

i upgraded from a droid x to the Rezound after speaking with some verizon reps about the Nexus and i am glad i went with it. Defiantly a lot more involved in terms of unlocking/rooting and flashing ROMS compared to the Droid X(IMO anyway) but it's a great phone with great hardware.

Google Now

Has anyone tried Google Now on Evo 4G LTE yet?
If so, can you please provide some feedback and which rom did you use it with.
Thanks in advance.
I would edit & detail the thread title to be as specific as the post.
Followed the instructions to get Google Now & Voice working somewhat.
It's great, be sure to detail your settings & the cards will begin to show up over time.
Some edits to location based cards might be needed.
Using Flex360's 1.75 Rom.

Google Now is only on Jelly Bean. The ELTE does not have Jelly Bean yet, but it should arrive soon considering the S4 GS3 variants are officially supported. Once a CM team member gets their hands on an ELTE or a dev gets it running we'll be able to try it.

It seems to be working okay for me, too. The Weather card is nice, and I do like the Traffic cards that pop up for your commute that show you traffic. I haven't really used Voice Search that much, but the few times I did, it seemed to work.
It does work better on my OG EVO, though, because that's actually running Jelly Bean .

Why not use an app? Simple, easy and relatively decent service. Or are you trying to call from the phone number assigned to your phone? In that case I guess it's a different story

No biggie, I'll just put the T-Mo ROm on and live with the stock for a while.
