hey guys, i have neo v it is not entering in flashmode or fastboot when putting in flashmode or fastboot mode the green or blue light just blinks and phone start charging in offline:crying: .. phone is working perfectly but i can't flash anything i want cm10 on my phone but it is currently running on gb and nightelf kernel.... plzz help plz plz plz plz
1. use latest flashtool.
2. install flashtool drivers for your phone. ( in flashtool/drivers )
3. press proper key ( back for flashmode, menu for fastboot ) while connecting phone through cable.

keep presing d volume down key. at d first screen..

If ur phone is alright then it should not have a problem to enter to fastboot or flashmode...

Here`s a quick question, how do you boot into recovery mode on a stock rom, so i can update to ICS using Flashtool on the Xperia U? Holding down the volume down key while inserting the USB cable doesn`t seem to work.
You are asking about flashmode I think,it should work.Did you install flashtool drivers?

First of all its Flash Mode not recovery mode....
If uve tried volume - & inserting usb then u might wana check the drivers..
Or just reinstall drivers from this location on ur Desktop/Notebook
C:/Flashtool/Drivers
windows might warn you many times but give permission reboot device n Desktop...

Thanks guys, my mistake. I did install the drivers, but not all the drivers. You also need to install the Flashmode drivers besides the Xperia U ones, and i forgot about that. Now it`s flashing fine, thx for the replies.
i ve tried to update my xperia u with flash tool but it failed .now the phone stops on sony logo and my pc wont detect it .tried pc companion and seus but they cant detect it.plz help :/

holding volume down while im plugging the phone on the pc via usb. imnot getting angry and i really appreciate that u are trying to help mate.
Switch off and try with volume up, in flashtool use fastboot. See if the led turns violet or similar color.

i tried with volume up fast boot , led turned to blue but still pc wont detect the phone... :/
Do you have the drivers installed for fastboot and fastboot sometimes I have to reinstall after a bad flash
And double check that you have the right ftf for your phone because people have flashed the wrong one before

i ve installed flashtool xperia u drivers and the ftf is ok for my phone since its the official 4.0.4 indian firmware for st25i.
Have you tried installing SUS (Sony update service)? And do a repair on that? It might detect your phone.

1.Turn off the phone
[Do not connect it to the computer]
2.Open flashtool and select flashmode
3.Select the firmware and click flash.
4.Connect your phone when the screen shows the prompt with the diagrams
[By pressing volume down ,don't release the button]
5.If everything goes well the flashing will proceed.
The sequence of steps is important.I softbricked my friend's XU by following the wrong sequence(Stuck at Bootlogo and led flashes once when you try to connect in flash or fastboot mode).Following the correct sequence unbricked it....

ive tried it already,the problem is that pc wont detect my phone... when i connect my phone to pc , phone's led turns , after a few seconds leds are off and phone stucks on sony logo...

Go to flashtool folder, drivers and install drivers for your phone. Then repeat the whole sequence above. It will work.

Hey guys, before i start i like to say that i searched the forum at least 2 hour and other sites as well. My problem is;
my phone (Xperia Neo V) got stuck in bootloop when i was refreshing the mails in gmail app and it asked me to refresh automatically and i said yes after i said res it got stuck.
I tried to enter the recovery with volume buttons and home key and tapping the screen it didn't work. My phone was rooted and i was using a custom 4.0.4 rom (Unfortunately i didnt remember the name of the rom since i was using it over a year with no problem).
I also tried flashtool and sus from sony website both of them didn't recognise my phone when i plugged in the computer. Even my computer doesn't recognize my phone at all.
So here i am helpless, seeking for a help?
Is fastboot or flashmode working? If fastboot working, flash any other custom ics kernel like suave and flash the rom again.. It has custom recovery.. If flashmode working, flash stock ftf using flashtool.. You will lose root but your phone will boot up for sure..

4)start flashtool and turn on mobile and connect with USB
5)click on bolt sign and go flash boot,disconnect mobile and connect in flshboot mode(holding back button put in USB)

I am having same problem but after i install driver for xperia neo (in flashtool der is no option for neo v) and i also tick on flasshmode and fastboot drivers..still when i connect phone, it says no drivers found...i am on xp sp2 and stock ics which keeps on rebooting HELP!

Hey, thanks for helping...i guess der was some problem in my pc while installing drivers...i was able to flash it easily on a differnt pc with win7...phones working fine
I Rooted My Sony Xperia Sola .. completed it and install "Font Installer" then he shut down and every once i start it ,it is displays "SONY" .. "Xperia" and restart it SONY .. Xperia .. Without entering .. and dosen't enter with flash mod .. :crying::crying::crying:
What is the solution???:crying:

It went into a bootloop . You have to reflash your ROM :good:

To be able to enter flash mode you need to turn it off first, press volume up + power untill you feel 3 vibrations.

1.download flashtool (Google it)and learn how to use it(Google it)
2.download latest sola firmware (Google it)or any Xperia sola firmware u like Ics or Gb
3.flash it.
4.done
I met this problem countless of time

Alright . Go to Flashtool folder . There will be a folder named drivers . go inside it and open the driver installation file . when you have the option to choose the drivers to install , scroll down and you will see Fastboot,etc drivers and Xperia Sola drivers . tick them and begin the installation . After installation try flashing the rom again

Not a big deal bro .install driver from flashtool and fastboot flashboot driver too.If it's still the same change another usb maybr your usb the same as mine.I change with my aunt Live with walkman and it work.hope it help bro

Post some details if you want effective help.
What windows version do you have?
Did you install the flashmode driver that comes with flashtool (drivers directory, at the bottom of the list when you run the installer)
Do you have CWM recovery installed?

problem is with ur usb...it should be 2.0 instead 3.0..i had same problems..my laptop has one usb2.0 nd two 3.0 ports..when i connect it to 3.0 it doesnt recognise it....but when i connect it to 2.0 itrecognises...
