Hello friends, I have a samsung galaxy s2 rooted, I decided to put omega rom, but I follow all the steps and restart stays in the samsung screen. my phone is the company Telstra. has something to do?

What model exactly do you have? I9100? Write down steps, you took to flash room. And most important, you should have asked in the ROM thread. Cheers.

do a factory reset from recovery.

I think you have model with snapdragon CPU. Try flashing ROM made for your phone.

Firstly, this is a dev forum, Does it resemble absolutely anything like a Q&A or general forum or even a forum you should be creating a topic in?
Second, There is an abundance of data on how to flash, go check stickies etc. If you have flashed ICS then you can flash GB, its the exact same process.
thanks for your responses.
im from colombia, and my english is poor
restore your backup if you made one!!
wipe data/cache/dalvic/ restore
Just reboot in recovery, wipe everything. If you have a rom on your sdcard just flash it. If not use the restore method if you have a backup. Simple as that

Install Kernel CF-Root, install rom from SDCard or Install Stock rom from ODIN
Instal stock rom first to back your modem version , then you can back your last backup

[Q] HELP. Phone wont switch on

Guys, I tired to flash the s3 look and feel rom from the galasy s2 android development theard on my s2 and now it wont swtich on. It will boot in download mode but no recovery. when I connect it to power, the battery icon only comes on once and then it switches off. Sometimes the screen starts flashing.
Could someone kindly advise how can I get around this?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
If the phone boots only into download mode, that's still a good sign. Just use the Odin tool and flash the new ROM. I know that doesn't help but need to stay calm and find the proper images.

You've obviously flashed it incorrectly or onto a incompatible rom or device variant. Next time read before flashing.
thanks guys,
do I flash a new kernel using odin? if yes, which one?
Thanks again.
Any one you want. Download a stock ICS or GB ROM from sammobile.com, and flash through Odin. Lucky you didn't brick your device, READ TWICE, FLASH ONCE.
Chris.
You should also confirm what model phone you have. Look on the label under the battery. What does it say for model?
flashing the stock firmware is the best option .. that solved my problem in the past .
flash the stock rom using odin . That is the best way to revive a bricked phone .

This is because you flashed a wrong kernel for your phone.
# Quick question:
Is your phone on Gingerbread, Android 2.3.x or ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich), Android 4.0.x?
# If your phone is on ICS, then download and flash this kernel via Odin: www.gokhanmoral.com/public/files/siyahkernel/v3.0/Siyah-v3.5.2.tar

Thanks for that.
I have the I9100BVLPH stock ROM from T-Mobile UK on my phone so I downloaded the correct Chain Fire kernel (CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LPH-v5.2-CWM5.tar) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399 and this caused the phone not to boot.
Thanks for the link to Siyah, I used the v4.1.5 kernel and it worked great.
Hello there.
I'm in a bit of a trouble so I need some help. I've bought an S2 for my wife from a guy (in Ireland).
The phone was locked on Vodafone so I tried to root it maybe I'll be lucky to unlock it with out paying nothing. So, the phone is on Gingerbread with a BUKJ3 kernel. I've downloaded last night a CF root but by mistake I took a KG3 instead of KJ3. After flashing with Odin 1.85 I got stuck on the boot screen with the yellow triangle.
This morning I've downloaded another kernel as in KJ3 flashed with Odin, the phone is starting but no network coverage, I tried with different Sim cards but nothing so I went in recovery mode and wipe/format data, system, dalvik and cache as factory reset as well. Since that moment the phone won't boot, it gets stuck on the boot screen and yellow triangle.
I can go in recovery mode and download mode with no problem but I can't make it start.
I reflashed the kernel, I don't know what to do and tomorrow is my wife's birthday and I was trying to surprise her with a nice phone but instead looks like she is gonna get a brick ( I hope not)
Thank you guys for any help.

Thank you for the reply. I don't mean any disrespect but for the last 3 hours I'm looking over kernels and forum and my brain is really wired now maybe.
I've had a look at sammobile but I can't find what you've recommended. A more specific link will be more than helpful.
Thank you very much anyway. If I'm getting advises it means I didn't bricked the phone so I might be able to fix it.
Once again thank you.
You just go to sammobile, then register, then firmware and files, then put the info in the 4 fields
eg
Smartphone
Android
Gt-i9100
Then uk/ire XEU (or vodafone or whatever..but unbranded better)
Then youll see a list about firmware version and their release date
Eg
Lpt 4.0.4 ics jul 2012
Lp7 4.0.3 ics apr 2012
So download lp7 4.0.3 and flash with odin.
Then use the rooting guide in my sig
Then do the other things I said.

Thank you very much. In the mean while I've managed to find exactly what you've said in your answer. I've choose the gingerbread version of the ROM cause that was what the phone had when I've bought it.
SO, now is it safe to go on ICS like I did half an hour ago with that Gingerbread rom?
Thank you and sorry about the noob question, never used an Samsung, only HTC.

People contact Odia when theres a problem with their efs folder/no backup.
But you should have a backup and a nand backup.
I had the same problem yesterday and I restored efs folder/restored nand backup.....which got it back.
So try that or theres a thread about "restore imei in 9 easy steps".

I know I was stupid enough not to read before flashing, but now it too late to think about that.
the thing is I've never used a galaxy phone until these days and I wasn't aware of all this things and I don't know how to restore this NAND backup IF I have one, as I didn't make any backup before flushing. I hope I'll get some help from somebody and as I've said, a nice donation will be on the way to the helper.
Try GSII repair app.But you have to be rooted.

Everything Works Execpt wake after screen of

Fellow S3 users,
I am hopeless because i try almost everything but 1 problem remains.
PROBLEM: Phone doesn't react after screen is of for 5 sec. (And when i reboot the samsung animation hangs just a little bit)
''Did some heavy benchmarks to see if is going to freeze but they run as they should no problem at all''
What i did try to solve:
- Wipe/Factory
- Wipe Cache
- Wipe Dalvik
- Wipe Batt Stats
- Mega Wipe (app)
- Format cache/system/preload/data/sdcard
- Flash different Roms Stock 4.0.4, 4.1.1, 4.1.2
- Flashed 4.0.4 and did a OTA to 4.1
- CM 10
- Darkys
- Omega
- Foxhound
- Revolution
And i did this over and over again.
Wiped everything for over 15 times
Flashed roms for over 15 times
ATM i am on the Dutch Stock 4.1 that i updated trough OTA
But there has to be something stuck on the system??? Or is it a hardware problem (buttons work fine don't hang)
If someone is able to give me the right instructions to solve this problem then i am prepaired to donate some money to buy some hamburgers or beers. :good:

When you bought your s3, did it have that problem or was it after you began flashing that it occurred.
You mentioned that your on Dutch stock now. Did you note were your original firmware was from, like typing *#1234#, would give you values for AP, CP and CSC.
I mean the values for *#1234# just before you did any flashing or update.
My point is maybe, originally the firmware was from a different region as compared to what is on it now even though it is stock. Bring it to the original firmware region. If you did that also, I guess I am stuck also. Hope someone can help you.
Like my s3, originally its firmware was from region Kenya. Updated official firmware but chose a new region.

[Q] help... bricked it?

Hi all
I've had a custom root and rom on my s2
I've since reset and odined a new rom into it that didn't seem to work (boot looped) so I installed what I thought was a stock one vod uk)
Anyway, this hasn't worked as it now gets stuck booting on the s2 screen
Not sure what to do... my root (0yellow triangle) has disappeared so I can't install a custom rom and I don't know the csc (or whatever it It is) as I'm guessing the stock rom I put on was not exactly the same as the one that came on it originally?
Bit confused how I get it back now
Thanks

Still unclear what is your phone model. Is it I9100, I9100G or even HD LTE?
According to this you must choose a proper ROM for your device. If it`s wrong you will get soft brick.
