I'm also looking for a pen for my Tab2. Is ET-S100 any good?

I use the alupen by just mobile. I got it on ebay shipped for 10.00. This is by far they best stylus to use. I not only have the galaxy tab 2 7.0 I also have the note. I have used the alupen to write on the note and it is just like the spen on the note. It can take clear and precise notes. I really couldn't tell the difference between the spen writing and the alupen writing.

Get the targus, it doesn't drag at all. Its around ten bucks on amazon. XDA won't let me post links because I'm a noob.

I also have a Targus which is pretty good. There available in different colors. I got mine from a Wal-Mart for $15.

Cases for the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

I ordered a Poetic case for my new Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and it will be coming today. Theres no pics on the Amazon page but Ive ordered the same case for my 7.7 and know that its like the one in the pics I attached. It was originally designed for the 10.1, and according to Poetic it will work for the 2. I will review soon.
Any pics

It looks like you may have a problem with that case due to the speaker
Placement let me know how it all turns out
Sent from my GT-P5113 using CDs
in the pic, it doesn't look like speaker is blocked but there is some sort of clip that i am afraid might damage the speaker in a long run

I want something like that but even more heavy duty.. I would love like a trident case for the 10.1
Does anyone use this Dual View case? It is surprisingly affordable which makes me suspect there is some problem with functionality. Anyone tried it?

can I swiftkey with this:silly:
Looks kinda cool if you really need a physical keyboard. Only thing making me suspicious is the following "main selling point":
•Great gift included! Fast 6~10 Days Delivery!
What could that great gift be???
Free Gift=Card Reader
I think that the free gift they refer to is the card reader in the images for the product.

I am interested in this item but it looks to be larger than the face of the Note 3. I'd like to know if you can comfortably hold the phone+case open and thumb type. I wish they would release a folio back replacement that has a keyboard on the inside face and the bluetooth\NFC\battery in the spine\joint. If the front of the case(back of keyboard) was an e-ink screen it would turn the Note 3 into my perfect mobile computer.
Very interesting.
Anyone here get one? Kinda leery of it with only 3 reviews on Amazon. Also wish it had a kickstand but I can rig one onto it myself perhaps.
keyboard design looks good, no silly keys crowding out the all - important QWERTY. And it has nice arrows in the right spot. Hm.

Note 3 Stylus replacement with real pen

Has anyone found a stylus replacement for the Note 3 (T-Mobile although not sure if the carrier matters) that also doubles as a real pen? I am always somewhere where I need a pen and don't have one and yet have my device with me all the time. I used to have one of these when I had a previous device and it was ALWAYS handy. Now that I have another device that has a pen, I figured I'll try to find a stylus/pen again.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Oh, I'm looking for one that REPLACES the existing Samsung stylus and actually FITS in the stylus hole, not one I can carry separately.
I've seen replacements on eBay and I know Samsung sells them also.
But about the real pen build in. I don't see that happening. The s pen is kinda rfid so I don't see how it will be able to fit a normal pen inside of it.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I had one of these but yes, it was for a non-RFID stylus for I think the Evo or something, it was a few years ago. I can't even remember what device it was for.
Thanks any way.

Fine point stylus for Galaxy Tab Pro??

Hello!
I have a Galaxy Tab pro 10.1 and I'd like to know if I can find and use a fine point stylus to draw on its screen!
I know the S Pen doesn't work with the "TAB" (only with the note).
I don't like the "large" rubber stylus…
The idea is to draw and write thin graphic things!
So if anyone can give some advices to me, it's great!
Long life to this amazing xda forum, so intense!
Enjoy

+1. Saddly I've heard even Bamboo stylus are not working here and I really don't know why, when it's supposed to work with every capacitive touchscreen. Same have heard about old samsung Cpen (which went on sale with old Galaxy S3 and everyone forgot about it).
I also am interested but I don't want some of these plastic-dip stilus like Adonit. any suggestion?

Why not "Adonit"?
Do you think it can damage the Galaxy Tab screen?
On the internet you can find several videos "demo", it seems to work fine.
I've also read about DAGI P508 or P702, supposed to be ok!

It's not only that it "can" scratch your screen, I personally wouldn't find myself comfortable with its thin joint between disc cap and body. No idea about that DAGI.
What I would like is the rubber cap to be thinner, more or less like a marker.

I bought these: http://www.amazon.com/Bargains-Depot®-0-18-inch-Rubber-2Packs/dp/B00D5GVMK8
Those have the thinnest tip I could find. They feel very soft and responsive in my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. I can write normally with them.
The best of all is that they are super cheap. Just 6 bucks. It came with additional 10 replacement tips (the listing says 6 but it actually came with 10).

note pro accessories bargains

After a long wait till the prices came down I have upgraded to a note pro from a 10.1 2012 edition. I love it so far. I have been using Taobao for a while to buy various accessories Using Yoybuy as a shipping agent. I got my genuine samsung keyboard £30 it is the real thing. The only difference is the box and instructions is in Chinese. I started to look at spens. I found wacom bamboo stylus feel Selling for $1.64 I do have one as I am a designer and I have ordered a couple. It is worth a look for cases etc. Google translate comes in handy.
$1.64 for the stylus sounds wrong. Maybe it's a knockoff?

yes it does seem like an amazing price. I bought a couple so will keep you posted. I can always turn them into spen holders! Though I did get a bargain atomgsm.Co.uk are selling off all the samsung moschino and kirkwood offical note pro flip covers for only £11.69 I do like the black kirkwood one.
Link for kirkwood/moschino cases it is a UK company they are selling their note 3 cases and s5 cases cheap too.

The Wacom technology is patented, so it's no doubt a fake.
Still, if it works, it's probably still cheaper to just toss it in the bin when it breaks after a month or two and get a new one, you could do about 40 months for the price of the original.

There are a lot of fakes on the site mainly flip covers. But you can tell as the inner lining is always grey no matter what colour. A lot of generic spens definitely fake. Though there are originals as well.
The cheapest price I could get for an original samsung keyboard case here in the uk is $122. But got an original one from there for less than half the price Including shipping. I also got an original samsung bluetooth spen the one you can receive calls from For $24. It came out with the original note 10.1 2012. The price never really came down Works a treat with the note pro. Plus it comes with the full range of spen nibs from soft rubber to hard plastic. Which I got with my old note 10.1 2012 but sadly with my note pro just standard tips. If you are an artist or a designer the different nibs as well as calibration of the pen make a difference that's why I have a few pens.
But you are probably right about the wacom pen I am not holding my breath but it was worth the gamble.

Both, which is why I have 3 Bamboo Feels and 3 Spens for the same reason.
But I'm still miffed that my Intuos pen won't work on it. Different tech, I know; a girl can dream, right?
I've got a ton of stuff from china as well, some of it original, but for the serious accessories I prefer something with a warranty and quality certifications. The EU has a much, much higher legal quality demand than the US, let alone Asia. (You can notice the difference in the build quality of phones and tablets.)
Still, somtimes the low price is worth the shorter lifespan.

I thought intuos pen would work too but no joy either. Any other pens you could recommend? I have spen with eraser, bamboo feel, bt spen, note 3 pen 10.1 2011. Is it worth getting the spen holder or going for another bamboo feel? A girl can't have too many pens. The spen I got with my note pro the calibration was completely off the nibb sticks.......Hopefully a new nibb will sort it.
Any tips on drawing on the note or apps would be appreciated as there is always something new to discover.

What I did do was place the second rubber grip I got with the Intuos pen over the Bamboo feel. Bit of a tight fit, but now I've got a Bamboo pen with a very comfortable grip! (It doesn't look very pretty, but oh well.)
Haven't found a solution for the button yet, but it does make holding it whilst drawing much easier.
Haha, yea, I had to recalibrate all but one of the Bamboo pens. Nearly lost the button for the original Spen to the carpet in the process!
I've never tried the Spen holder, truth be told.
Here's a couple of apps to give a try :
Artflow: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bytestorm.artflow
Infinite Painter: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brakefield.painter
Can't forget our best friend's baby brother: Photoshop Touch! Tablet: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.adobe.pstouch Phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.adobe.pstouchphone (I sideloaded the tablet variant onto my Note 3 because I prefer landscape for Photoshop.)
For writing, lettering and sketching in one I love Papyrus. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steadfastinnovation.android.projectpapyrus It has an option to write with the pen and erase with your finger for Spen devices.
INKredile is a Vector writing/sketching app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.viettran.INKredible&hl=en I use this for creating handwriting fonts, exporting it as a transparent png, loading it in Illustrator, image trace > 254 threshold + Ignore Whites > Expand > tweak > Place in Fontlab
And then there's Snapseed. Not quite a 'specially made for the Spen' app, but the Spen makes it that much more accurate! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.niksoftware.snapseed&hl=en (Made by NIK Software, the company behind NIKefex, who were bought by Google).

Yea, Inkredible is a genius litle app. If you export as PDF, it exports as a Vector PDF. Real timesaver!
The only thing I miss is all my brushes in Photoshop.

Yea, it's good. Still doesn't reach the level of its parent ColorEFEX (Which requires a full version of PHotoshop CS4 or higher), but it's a good dressed-down version.
