If you want to change the partitions, you have to build your own kernel, because you can't change any part of the kernel permanently if you don't flash a kernel with the wanted partitions. In other words: I would ask a competent dev to build a kernel with the wanted partitions. I havn't tested nAa's new kernel yet, but you should give it a try, it looks pretty good.
Please press thanks if I helped .

You tested the kernel he uploaded today?
By the way, I'm working on a jb rom for x10 mp myself, I have an average of 40 MB free RAM. Once successfully tested I will probably upload in dev's section.

There is no way of partitioning your internal memory (ROM) to get more free RAM. They are totally different things. One is permanent storage, the other one is working memory. The only way to get more RAM is to run fewer applications and services.

can anyone build JB kernel for x10 mini with partition is
system- 200mb
data- 190mb
cache- 5mb
ram- 256+
and sony Ericsson kernel logo
plz help me

Lol, the current 2.6.32.60-jb kernel has: system 261, data 192, cache 5mb, which is more than you ask for. RAM has NOTHING to do with the internal storage. No amount of partitioning will give you more RAM.
There is 256 MB of RAM installed by SE in the phone, and usually around 70 MB of that is used by the kernel and basic android system, leaving you around 180 for user programs and services. The only way you can 'extend' that is to run a swap partition on your sd-card.
The only thing on your list is replacing the nAa-logo animation with the Sony Ericsson text, and that you can do yourself with a kernel kitchen.

Are U sure that U have 131MB RAM memory free? Becouse on my X10 mini says that I have from apro~140MB RAM mem. free only 55MB. I think phone have 256MB and apro~100MB is for system and the rest is for aplication.
I think the phone has about 185 RAM, and about 256 internal storage (ROM)
But MiniCM7Pro doesn't work on the x10mini
try MiniCM7 by nAa, or GingerDX, both found in the x10Mini development section.
Differen rom ?

[PLZ HELP]How to use A2SD+ / Swap question [CM9] ???

Hi,
i got question concerning the use of an A2sd+ app (or alike) to save app data to the sd.
i already formatted the sd and now have a 2 gb ext partition, so i should be all set
what is the best way to do this with CM9 (FXP) and how can i install it ?
Would a swap partition speed things up ? how big should it be ? 512 mb or a gb?
i have a mini (St15i) running fxp 129 currently
thank you for your help !
first of all flash cm9 then install a2sd to transfer apps to sd card and if u want to speed up ur sd card try this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zZGluY3JlYXNlLml0Il0.

Why use old a2sd?
Take a look at link2sd. Much comfortable. You also can decide which app you will link to your sd card.

[Q]How to mount a system folder to seperate partition

I'm having a big question in mind can we mount a specific system folder in to a SD Card
So that we can available more space for the ROM
Like we can mount a dalvik-cache folder to a SD-Card so we can have more space available to our ROM so does more free internal memory.
Because this is a Linux concept we do implement it in our servers whenever we r running out of space.
So this shud b possible to our ROM's if yes, then how?
If not then why not?

Well the system partition is a bit different to my knowledge, it's mounted on read-only memory, hence ROM. I personally think it would either brick a device or the ROM just won't run.
What we can do is symlink less important parts of our ROM to save more space. For example: symlinking pittpatt binaries to /data is a common practice, because those are around 25MB.
Anyways I might be wrong on any of this, but you're bringing up a pretty interesting question.

Ok... Friend bt I really dont have any idea about symlinks in android bt I got the message u want to convey.
And according to my knowledge there is no significance of ROM in it may b u r confusing with Read Only Memory and we call our OS a ROM bcz a OS system image is stored every tym in Read Only Memory for recovery as we did it through Factory Reset System.
In my knowledge OS(ROM) files we use in our device r read nd WRITE almost every tym when its running so it should not brick our device in anyway if we do it correctly.
If my knowledge is wrong plz correct me, anyone is kindly welcome :thumbup:

Not sure about actually mounting folders as you say, but there are plenty of apps to symlink to the SD card.
i use link2sd (Free in the market) to "move" data for all my apps to the sd card...saves a ot of space
The theory is sound, it should be feasible, as long as the kernel can access the folder at boot time, start there.

[Q] Suggestion for XU repair

Ram usage is around 280mb on my XU without any app installed even after I tried 4.1.2 v4 unofficial
I tried bloatware uninstall, hard factory reset also but still same result
Do anyone has some kind of solution or should I refer to Sony service centre to bring back ram issue back to normal after unrooting and locking bootloader???
Please suggest as when I first put official ics ram usage was around 180mb
Thats normal.
Try this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2414390
Also, try using greenify.
But this was not situation before

I just want to undo that and want my smooth running phone which it used to be:crying:

I was extremely liking UI of Jelly bean on XU but those bugs and 60mb free ram broke my patience
and After all the searching and hard work, I m going for gb rocks v3
Hope It doesnt contain bugs I faced before :crying:
But most of the apps available now are upward compatible from 4.0(For example:Xposed Framework,Nova Launcher,almost all the holo themed apps)......
You may face some issues there..

No idea what exactly for Kernel is needed...
More mandatory IMHO is background info about RAM handling in badadroid...
What is where reserved... in 256 MB and in 128 MB RAM
Is 512 MB OneNand involved with write access or not...
Is it possible/helpfull to use memory area in 512 MB as "SWAP" to increase faster RAM...
And only Devs who allready released Kernel know what they have tried...
Otherwise ""we"" start again from scratch... to reverse hundreds of Bytes Sourcecode...
Best Regards
with 318 you break full video (cam, web, film)
wait we make new way without bigmem but full work
Is it possible to make "ON/OFF Button" in Kernel...
So user can select self, without change different kernel.
In this kind...
Choose FULL stable
or
MAX RAM with no Cam etc...
Best Regards

@mylove90 , where r u ? he had made 318mb kernel for cm10 v0.3 by rebbelos
Sorry for late reply
I stopped playing with kernel and such stuff for a while and my sources got corrupted again
Regarding big memory thing....Devs like @Tigrouzen or @volk204 can do it without any efforts
Here i am posting how to get a 318 mb RAM configuration (for Devs who can build the kernel)
got to path : *kernel_path*/arch/arm/mach-s5pv210/mach-wave.c
look for these lines or something similar
//FIMC stands for Fully Interactive Mobile Camera
#define S5PV210_VIDEO_SAMSUNG_MEMSIZE_FIMC0 (11264 * SZ_1K)
#define S5PV210_VIDEO_SAMSUNG_MEMSIZE_FIMC1 (9900 * SZ_1K)
#define S5PV210_VIDEO_SAMSUNG_MEMSIZE_FIMC2 (11264 * SZ_1K)
//MFC stands for Multi Format Codec
#define S5PV210_VIDEO_SAMSUNG_MEMSIZE_MFC0 (11264 * SZ_1K)
#define S5PV210_VIDEO_SAMSUNG_MEMSIZE_MFC1 (11264 * SZ_1K)
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
So as you can see FIMC is reserved RAM for the Camera....replace corresponding numbers with "0" zero and you will get a 295 Mb RAM kernel with no camera
MFC is for video playback....replacing this too by "0" you will get a 318 Mb RAM kernel
Sorry again but i am stopping my development for a while because i am looking for a job !
Best Regards
