Hi. Today when I connected my phone with my pc using Kies I got a message of a new update which I did. But I don't know what this is about. Did the made a patch for the security flaw in Samsung’s Exynos chip??
My new Firmware version is
PDA:LLA / PHONE:LLA / CSC:LL1 (EUR)
I searched on Google but with no luck!
Yes. LLA is the firmware version which solves the exynos bug

as per topic above, has samsung stopped providing updates for SGS2 in Singapore?
i have been keeping track of latest SGS2 firmwares... And its the latest at 2.3.6 for european SGS2, however im still stucked at 2.3.3 the latest firmware in Singapore.

there have been no new roms as everyone is waiting for ICS roms which are due by early to mid 2012.
Over the past few months Samsung Mobile Singapore has only provided one update which is android 2.3.3 DXKI2. Those who bought the phone in june/july it was shipped with android 2.3.3 DXKF1. Never mind.
Stop using kies and start using Odin to install updated official firmware that you can download from intratechs official firmware thread. It's in the dev section.
Actually Odin is quicker and better at upgrading than kies anyway.
You can still keep an eye on official releases by using an app called checkfus from the market.
All the info and downloads you need are in that thread but if you need a hand sing out.

I have Samsung Galaxy S III with CSC of KSA, and recently updated to 4.0.4 with BB of XXLH1.
However, some reported the availability of JB 4.1.1 via PC Samsung Kies. But it still shows "No update available" whenever I check mobile "Software update". Many neighbor countries had already updated to JB a month ago using both Kies and OTA.
What do you think guys? Another bug from Samsung? Or there is something wrong?
I am still able to update using PC Kies but not OTA!!!
Maybe ota hasn't been released for your country yet.

Hi guys updated to 4.1.2 a week ago OTA. Now there is another firmware available for me to download ending in LLA. My 4.1.2 update was the LL4 version. anyone know what the story is with LLA?

I have bought a new Galaxy S2 mobile imported from Korea. The vendor says it is unlocked.
I had inserted my local sim and things are working fine.
The Android version currently running is Gingerbread.
I would like to know how can i update the version to JellyBean.
I read lot of articles and youtube videos on rooting the version, but i am confused and afraid.
My major doubts are, since it is from Korea, should i use the some Korean version of Jelly bean itslef to update.
When I connected to Kies, it says, this firmware cannot be update using Kies.
Can someone please help me here.
Ask in the S2 forums, they will help you better. Surely you will able to update your phone downloading the firmware from samfirmware.com to install it using Odin, but as I said, ask in the S2 forums to make sure.
Hi guys, hope all of you are fine doing well. I am using Galaxy S III International Version I-9300 came from UK upgraded to Android 4.3. Today when I connected my phone to KIES, following message appeared

Latest firmware version : PDA:NA5 / PHONE:NB1 / CSC:NB1 (VOD)
I've searched on internet, but the latest firmware version as per KIES is also 4.3. do I need to perform this Upgrade or not ? ? ?
NA5 is just a newer build firmware of android 4.3 than MK6... so if you just want your phone updated only then go ahead with it... if you are happy if the current version then I would say stay with it..
But if you feel some lag in your current build then just go ahead with it.. it may improve your user experience a bit as newer build is considered to be with few fixes obviously...

Hi, newbie to the forums but I have the same issue with my wifes S3. The only difference is that the OTA says there is an upgrade, but this fails and says to use Kies.
When using Kies to upgrade it seems to go ok, the device firmware is downloaded/passed to the S3.... But when the S3 reboots and I connect it back to Kies it says the upgrade still needs to happen??
Anyone else getting this problem?
