HI, everyone! I have the same problem on my xt912, I mean I'd love to flash the baseband, but I only have exactly the same Status 7 error trying to flash it as a firmware using BMM. No matter wich baseband I pick up to flash, it's all the same and I'm still forced to use CDMA_N_05.21.00R LTEDC_U_09.1D.00. Actually I don't mind at all using this baseband, but there is one little BUT. I've bought the device to be able to use gprs-internet and I really can't on this baseband. BTW, I'm on JB 4.1.2 stock and It doesn't matter even if I flash other custom ROM on JB..the problem appears at start. And it's a quite weird one: there is a letter E in the notification bar and there is a connection sometimes, but it is very unstable and I only can send a few kilobytes, then nothing. So, this made me think the cause of this problem is a wrong baseband.
As for flashing it using motoflash it's getting even more weird. No mistakes on the PC screen, everything's fine until then device reboots to the stock recovery without my help and after about 30 seconds It reboots one more time and all I see after the rom loads is...yeah, wright, the same baseband I've been trying to change ((
Any ideas??
Maybe someone can make an update.zip with only the baseband for me to install it from the BMM as zip?? That'd be just great!!!!
Thanks for your participation!!!

attached the log from BMM

rename the file to bp.img and make sure that you have no space in the path.
ex: clockworkmode/firmware/bp.img
Ihad the same problem flashing kernel and it was that I had a space in the path
hope this helps

i have baseband "bp.img" in internal storage. i haven't folder "clockworkmode" anywhere. I get the common phrase in stock recovery and BMM:
searching for flash devices...
unable to find flash devices
retry flashing
script aborted

I guess you must have folder clockworkmod into your internal memory as long as you have installed BMM
Mine was an example. Open the file manager and see if there is no space into the path of bp.img. If it is, rename it deleting only the space
I repeat: I don't know if this works, I had this problem with kernel and I had a space into the path
Also you can make a backup of your kernel/baseband and see where it is and how the path looks like
You can check post no 55 for other example in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149286

baseband can not backup by BMM - no such function. from ext/clockworkmode/firmware/bp.img don't flash too.

weird... maybe uninstall/reinstall BMM
I've seen that your file has 14 MB It must have around 25. Did you downloaded correctly?
otherwise my knowledge regarding this issue stops here. sorry mate
edit: My mistake about size of baseband

it's a pity. i reinstall BMM many times...it does not help

I'm having the same problem on my xt910, I can not update the baseband, I'm no gps and 3g. Feedback I have the exact same error.

This or any other known methods to flash radio image to xt910 doesn't work with the error in OP. This is like, it is radio partition is corrupted and cant be flashed with correct image.
Hope to find a solution, still diggin' !

[Q] [Help] New update

Im trying to update to a new 2.2.2 update that bell just released for canadian users.
I download it, I press install, it reboots my phone into android recovery.
It begins to install the update, then it shows me this:
verifying current system...
assert failed: apply_patch_check ("/system/app/AccountAndSyncSettings.apk". "a bunch of numbers", "A bunch of numbers", E:Error in /cache/Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.zip
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted.
Can anyone help? Its really frustrating not being able to update.
My phone was rooted, deodexed, and I flashed a few .zip's to it. I factory reset it before I attempted to do this update.
HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
This is the menu I'm in when I talk about "android recovery"
However, this is not my phone. This picture is just to jog your memory if you dont know what im talking about.

Remove my battery and reboot it? The update said it would reboot itself.
Also, what does the picture I'm describing mean?
Thanks.
are we talking about 2.3.4 or what kind of update?
It means your phone is rooted and you need to do an SBF flash
Pretty sure that is the recovery screen. If I remember correctly if you touch above the search button it should take you into the recovery menu

He's talking about the update from Bell that came out today. Its similar to the 4.1.83 update from At&t
Sorry guys its the 2.2.2 update released for bell atrices (in canada)
There is no menu unfortunately.
It looks like the bottom portion of this image, there is no menu.
Try pressing the bottom left and right corners, should bring up that screen.
Cheers!
Since it's 43MB is size, I am guessing glad root or my util should be able to preserver root using frozenfish in /osh/sbin.
Downloading it now, Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.zip in /cache, I'll upload it to my dropbox for folks when it's done.
Cheers!
How can those who have flashed 2.1.1 get this update?
You would need stock Bell firmware for an update to apply I would think. Probably not much different that what you have anyway, I'll see if I can nab the radio from it though.

Thanks so much. That brought up the screen.
However, my update failed. I'll post the exact error or PM you if I can't figure it out for myself.
Will that update be flashable via CWM? And where can I find your dropbox.
Regards,
Mag
I'll post when I get it done.
Here you go:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23800522/Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.zip
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23800522/Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.crc
/cache/recovery/command = --update_package=CACHE:Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.zip
Frozenfish works to get root access again, in fact your su and shsu binaries stay in the system folder, all you have to do is chmod 06755 /system/bin/shsu etc.
Cheers!

Well, if you are using a Bell Atrix in Canada and it's working right, then why not? How is unknown to me right now, the files are in the zip, might be able to do a swap in an sbf, not sure.
Just got 1850 in a speed test for upload indoors, fastest I've had yet, previous was ~1780, that could be a good reason.
Cheers!

I had the same error, I odexed my system and copied the zip and crc back to cache, and did the update again, it asked me if I wanted to install it, and as it was doing that I grabbed the command file from /cache/recovery and put it on my sdcard. So really, all you need to do is have those 3 files in /cache and reboot into android recovery and you should be good to go.
I am thinking that it's the patch files that need to have the original files in order to work.
Cheers!

How to install video by TheRazrGuy:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TCgj5gbmf0
How to install from another ICS leak (same carrier, model, etc.):
Put the leak on your external SD card.
Fastboot a patched boot.img using the boot.img.p from this leak's /patch/ folder and the boot.img from the latest official version's fastboot files. (See my thread on patching boot images here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27211509 )
NOTE: If someone posts a reply with a boot.img they patched, you can use that one as well. Only one person has to make one and post it.
Fastboot the system.img and preinstall.img from the latest official version
Boot to recovery and install the newer ICS leak.

[Q] Galaxy S2 won't start after trying to install CM 10.1

Hi everyone,
Like always, I've to have a few troubles when I'm trying to upload software in my mobile... Well, the thing is, I have a Galaxy SII i9100 with android 4.1.2. I tried for the first time in my life installing a ROM (I'm root and have CWM). The first time I tried installing the last software of CM 10.1 for the galaxy S2 (cm-10.1-20130602-NIGHTLY-i9100.zip), but I couldn't for some signature errors. I wiped data and it didn't work neither. I found out that the problem was cause by the version of CWM, so I installed the last Phil Z edition of CWM (Phil Z Touch 4). Cool! No more signature problems..! Nope, but now I've another one. This error says: "E: Error in /sdcard/cm-10.1-20130602-nightly-i9100.zip" (Status 7) Installation aborted".
I kept reading forums and it said it could be a "PhilZCWM-thing", so I thought I could try installing the "Siyah" one. But I restarted the phone so that I could put the Siyah zip inside and the phone won't start. It is stuck on the Samsung logo. You've any idea of what I could do ??
P.S: I tried to do it with Odin but it doesn't recognize the device cause it doesn't appear COM in yellow. The CWM is working. Regards and thanks in advance...
P.S.2: I managed to install the CWM Siyah, but it keeps appearing the same error...
EDIT: I used the original firmware with Odin and now the phone is back. But I still don't know how to put Cyanogenmod on it..

First of all, calm down. Please tell me what ROM and kernel are you using now.Make a screeshot of settings.
With some kernel like Dorimanx, in recovery mod, usb storage could work and your pc can "see" your phone.
Have you got an sdcard ? You will can download a new rom and copy to sdcard with your computer. After, plug in the GS2 and try again to install after do all wipe (data, dalvik, cache). You can fix permission after flashing.
Ok well. As I just told, my mobile is working again... So I can transfer files again. Here it is the info you guys need:
Mode NÂș: GT-I9100
Android Version: 4.1.2
Baseband Version: I9100XXLS8
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-889555 [email protected]#3 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 31 KST 2013
Compilation Number: JZO54K.I9100XWLSD

EDIT: I think I just solved the problem... In the web page of CyanogenMod they've uploaded two files. One of them today, and the other one yesterday. With the one from yesterday it's working..
EDIT 2: The yellow triangle appeared, so I tried to use Odin with the original software again cause I think I know how to solve it. Now the logo of Samsung keeps appearing and the phone doesn't start again...just GREAT pfff
EDIT3: Wiped cache and data and now works.. let's see how this goes.. (Apparently the phone doesn't connect to the wifi signal, this is new )
EDIT4: Finally the mobile is working again but I cant manage to install PhilZ Kernel for the mod. I've tried this from the SC card but now I get the error "failed to verify the whole-file signature". I think the solution is again setting the kernel PhilZ or Siyah with Odin, and then getting rid of the triangle with an app, but I would like to avoid flashing again. Any idea..?
EDIT5: I finally flashed it and I got CM, but when I got in there, there were a lot of things missing in the status bar and I didn't have any google apps despite having installed them. I'm just sick of CM, I'm back to v4.1.2 and that's it. Thanks for everything...

What does it mean? What can I do to solve this issue?
I am not sure if it was the same error, but I had something similar with my Allview P6 Stony. I fixed it by using a different (in my case older) version of SP Flash tool.
May be trying another version will help you too??
My phone is not the same as yours, but in the end I used the version of SP Falshtool I posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43678784&postcount=46
I hope this might help you.

The problem is with the scatter file and you have to alter a line in it.
Take a look on this post from a greek forum (use google translate)
http://www.myphone.gr/forum/showthread.php?p=4807552
Find th error on SP_FLASH_TOOL.log and then copy the anticipated value to the scatter file .
Save the file and reload it to flash tool.
thanx it works but u need to change quiet a few values.. before it finally works

https://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=ht...tsuV2-cHhqSzdqTmEtYkU&usp=sharing&h=4AQHo6U2x
2) now unrar it to extract it
3) open sp flash tool recommended version from http://androidxda.com/smart-phone-flash-tool
4) now open it and chose the scatter file from rom folder that you extracted before
5) now from left choose firmware update option rather than download
6)now press download button on the top
7) final and very important thing plug your phone( with battery ) to the usb cable nd ur r gud to go
8) let the bar complete changing colour from red to blue to violet to yellow and u will see a green circle at the end
thats all njoy your stock rom again :highfive::good::victory:

use cm-12.1 make sure you full wipe everything (except data/media you can still format data without nuking the internal sd partition)
Make sure you select the rom FIRST then gapps, also please for the love of jesus remember to flash the boot.img once you've finished flashing the rom + gapps.
If that still fails, give me the recovery.log file.
Getting knowhere just getting FAILED message in red as per your instructions ...
it fails after the rom and g apps install i dont even get to the boot.img

Per my instructions I also said get the recovery.log for me
go to ADVANCED > COPY LOG TO SD
once you have gotten the "fail" message.
then pull it off and upload it for me.
Recovery file see attached.

I see the problem, easy fix mate.
script aborted: This package is for device: endeavoru; this device is enrc2b.
Download the ENRC2B One which is the ONE X+ not the ONE X version

The latest one is at the bottom. I also suggest you read this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-x2/help/wifi-data-cm-roms-read-posting-t3158955

Did you flash the bootimage?
Hi Lloir,
Not sure if i did this in the right order
1. added cm12 rom zip
2. added gapps file
3. swipped and installed the two files above no error message.
4. this is where it may have gone wrong i extracted theBOOT.ing file from the CM12.zip file and added that to TWRP recovery and installed.
5. Re Booted the phone and thats where it does nothing but run the animation.
David.

The boot.img isn't supposed to be installed within TWRP. You have to manually flash it through fastboot
Holy crap GRRRRR
done what you said followed your instructions and flashed the boot.img from your link re started the phone and now im getting the white HTC quietly brilliant boot screen then nothing happens.
thanks for your help so far.

Ok lets go through this in easy steps.
0) open the ROM ZIP with winrar/7zip and pull out the boot.img
1) reboot into recovery and Wipe system/cache/data in recovery
2) Flash rom + gapps
3) make sure the phone is CONNECTED to the pc and assuming you read the instructions from the other post you have the android adb tools
4) reboot into fastboot it will show this

}
(random image off the internet)
5) open up the cmd on the pc and go cd to the folder where adb is, in that folder make sure the boot.img is in there and do the following :
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
sorted.
I know the rom's all boot I test them before releasing.
