Keep pressing volume rocker when phone is lock dont work - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I'm noon on the XDA forums. I have a i9100 phone with PACman v22 4.2.2 ROM with Dori kernel.
When my phone is unlock i can hold the volume down button and the volume gets down until mute. The problem is this. When the phone is locked and i try to do the same i cant. I have to press it several times to do it. There's any way to do this?

Any help?

You could try asking in the PACman rom thread.

S2 i9100g bootloader unlock

Can anyone help me how to unloack my galaxy s2 i9100g bootloader?
Running on 4.1.2 jelly bean.
Please help me
Why not ask or search in this thread?

To unlock bootloader, simply use your phone. One of the few good things about Samsung is they don't lock stuff down, comes already unlocked.
Unless you were getting terminology mixed up and actually wanted something else?

Have you rooted your phone or have you only installed cwm recovery? You can open cwm recovery (=bootloader) by pressing "power+home+volume up" (I hope you knew this ).

I know that
The bootloader was unlocked all the time. Since you flashed cwm, the cwm bootloader is aviliable. What happens when you press "power+home-volume up"?

[Q] Apps opening when on a call

Hello,
Apologies if this has been addressed before but I cannot find a solution with my search ability.
When I am on a call for a while, say more than 2-3 minutes, random apps opens automatically. Examples are calendar app, second call is placed to my voicemail, google now etc.
I beleive this is due to the touch screen when there is any contact to the screen when I am on a call. I've tried to clean the screen but still the same problem. All happened since I upgraded to CM10.
Anyone had the same problems or suggest anything to fix this please?
Thanks
Surcha

This could be ur problem mate! When moving from ICS to JB, a full wipe is RECOMMENDED.
As for ur apps and data, why not backup and restore them?

[Q] Unlocking Bell S2 without Root

Forgive me, as I'm new to this.
I have a stock Bell Galaxy SII that I'm quite happy with, but I would like it unlocked. Bell wants $75 to unlock it (I'm 2/3 of the way through my contract) and vomited a little at that cost.
I've done some reading through the forums, but not only if it mostly over my head, but it seems the unlocking requires rooting the phone. My quesitons then....
-is it possible to unlock the phone while still in stock software?
-if not, what is the simplest way to root but keep everything pretty much as is?
I appreciate any help, advice, guidance, or links where the questions have already been answered. I've looked through quite a bit, but find it difficult reading with so many references and acronyms I'm uninformed of. I'm very cautious about bricking my phone, but a couple of upcoming trips to the US have me looking at unlocking.
There is no way to unlock without rooting.
You can however unroot after unlocking.
Which firmware are u on? And what model do u have?

I will give that a go. Much thanks.
The initial download was broken, but found one later in the thread. When rebooting, no CWM.zip found as it says in the instructions... I'll read through the thread in more detail.

It works in JB also.
CWM was pulled because of risk of eMMC Brickbug in 4.0.4 versions. You can download a CWM for you device from ROM manager website (given in the thread).
Or if its any comfort, use Philz safe CWM.
