Hi I am trying to find the simplist way of rooting my DHD, I've been on android for a few months now after making the change from ios.
I hacked my iPhone in about 2 mins flat... Is there a quick way to root my DHD? I've looked at the guide on the xda website and it all looks a bit...well.. difficult??

I have an Evo w/the latest OTAs.. but I heard that the HTC method of unlocking isn't as good as the revolution way.
What should I be looking for/waiting for? I'm so pissed off.. might just sell it and get the damn GS2 instead!

You can use HTC's method and still flash ROMs, kernels, or just root your phone. The steps are a little different with HTC's method than if your phone was just S-off, but I think you can accomplish everything besides flashing a different HBOOT. I do think a 4.5" screen might be nice to see though .

You should start using ur phone, capture some hot chicks in 3D and share with us... And u can forget about the GS2

Trust me, once you get on jb you gunna want ics back.
The battery life is terrible and can't use volume booster or any other equalizer for that matter.
Plus the only difference look wise is little things like signal bar and tickers/switches in settings.
As for apps, same variety except you can get Google Now.
But that's just my opinion

I rooted optimus l9 using lgpwn.apk my lol sister upgraded to v20h on it and I lost root. Is there anyway to regain root on this version of firmware? Pls help!!!

Well I tried the same rooting process and it didn't work....also fix permissions didn't work. Maybe it's a easy fix and I'm just dumb lol any more ideas?

Root Loss After V20H Update
It's not good for u and I am sorry for u, but on the other side of that coin I'm glad I found this b4 I updated, because I would've been in the EXACT same spot. Good luck on getting out of ur mess!
Also, I was curious if u could use something like Voodoo to keep/restore root after such an update?
Same thing here! The method won't work with the v20h. Any workarounds?
