Rounded Rectangle Shadow on some screens. - HTC Amaze 4G

Hi,
I just bought a new HTC Amaze 4G and on some screens, there's like a 10px rounded margin that is slightly darker.
(Looks like a rectangle with rounded edges)
It's not on every screens/apps but it's annoying. Is this normal ? I can take some pictures if needed.
Thanks !

Well, I took two screen shots using Power + Home.
I could see the rectangle on the phone s/s.
Uploaded to dropbox and the rectangle is gone. Hmmm. I'll try to post pictures tomorrow with a camera.
Thanks.
Using Android 4.0.3
Edit:
It doesn't look hardware related. If I open Firefox and view images of different colors etc., I don't see any rectangle margin shadow.

SLCD Screen Lines

When I look really closely at my Amaze 4G's SLCD screen, I can see a small horizontal line pattern overlaying (a lot easier to see at maximum brightness and with brightly colored icons). It's not really noticeable at a normal distance from the eye, but I was just wondering if my screen was defective or if anyone else has something like this on their's?
Also, I found that the moving objects in the screen (icons, menu labels, etc) tend to blur a lot more than the super AMOLED screen I had on my old phone when they're in motion around the screen. Is this normal?

I have the blur a bit too. I believe that is just normal. I'm not sure what you mean by white lines though, I can't see any on my screen.
I have the blur as well. I guess it is normal.
yeah i can see the pixels too, i notice this as soon as i got this phone as i had the sensation before and the screen on the sensation was muuuuch nicer even though they say its the same its not.. it was better in every way and yeah the blur when you move the screen in certain menus..i already complained to htc saying i felt like this phone was a downgrade from my sensation instead of an upgrade!
Ah okay so it's not just me. Thanks for letting me know, it's a shame that the screen isn't as nice, but it's not so bad that it's a deal breaker I guess
When my screen is off, I can see vertical lines. But I know that's the polarization of the screen... Can't do anything about it!

Touch digitizer maybe?
Not fine lines, there were like 6 or so and they were roughly 5mm thick. Now that I try to see them again... I can't 0.o They're gone! lol

Picture gallery question..Why are the pictures not taking advantage of full screen?

It's only a miner question I love the s3 but when you take a picture and look at it in the gallery you have black borders either side of the screen..why does it not take advantage of the whole screen (I know you can double tap to zoom in)
The strange thing is you play back a video and it takes advantage of the full screen...
no biggy just thought I would ask if there is a solution
Make sure you view the picture with the phone oriented in the same way that you took the picture. If you took the pic with the phone sideways, view it that way. If you took it with the phone in vertical position, view it that way.
Hmmm you still have black borders????
The phone resolution of the picture and the resolution of the screen is not the same aspect ratio, and therefore you will have black lines. That, or cropped or stretched pictures... I think I prefer black lines.

[Q] Dark tiny lines on white background

Just bought my S3 and i can see some dark/grey tiny lines (almost like dirt) on white/grey backgrounds. Is this normal? You dont even have to look that hard to spot it.
In chrome i can see it very good. And in the grey image before play store opens fully.
Anyone who can please tell me what this is?

Any pics? I doubt if a screenshot will show these lines.
Hmm... Dont have any pics no. They will not show up on screenshot.
You can compare the marks with some kind of bad printer ink marks on a white paper (tiny tiny and very faint)...
I think i have the same i ssue, but is only visible on greys tones. Not in whites.

How about a camera pic? Don't the lines show up there as well?

Yeah it's worst in grey tones... and in whites when in low background light. When backlight is in full the lines almost disapears in white tones.
Could this be a pentile issue?
Well if I am thinking about same thing they look likr "uneven" color (darker and lighter lines) had them on S1 but never noticed em om S3 yet

There are present on all SuperAmoled screens.more or less. It's not a faulty unit.

I don't have it. Not one bit. And I'm a nitpicker about screens. I think pentile looks bad in the first place, so imperfections are not tolerable.

blue dot in photos

Lol it's lens flare. Move the camera around and you'll see it changes location. That's what happens when you face the camera towards the source of bright light ?. Nothing unusual here.
Here you go my examples
Mine have this too.
It's normal is its the glare/reflection of light.
I post this on fb to trick my friend and they said it was an UFO.

Are you sure? It's even happening inside, look at the big white dot at the chin
Positive. If you were not facing light source with the phone there would be no lense flare.
That's why I added the pic with the flyer as you can see white spot on my finger.
Take another pic in the same position but move the camera slightly different direction and there will be no white dot.

GlueGate or just a OLED Uniformity Issue (with test images)

Including here a couple of test images you can use to check for the Gluegate screen issue.
Test1.jpg -- Display this image with the brightness at full ina a dark room and check for green hues on the side
Test2.jpg - This image contains a combination of gray and really dark gray patterns which you can use to verify if its a gluegate issue or an oled uniformity quality issue on rendering certain colors. Display this image with the phone at full brightness in a dark room and try to swipe/move the image and see if the the green light also bleeds on the image dark bars.
Preferably download the images first and preview it fullscreen with your gallery/image viewer app.
Post your results.
Glue gate test
Hi,
Here are some screenshot of my display, with picture posted by you at 100% back-light. On other full black pics there is no problem but in test 1 pic. I can see some green light. What is your opinion. The device is an mate 20 pro lya-l29 with LG display.
I realy apreciate your reply.

I will let you think about it for a minute why it might be pointless to screenshot your phone when looking at display uniformity issues.

My bad.
You are right, I figured out just after I made the post. I have already post an answer, with some pics of the screen.
Here are some pics made with other phone to the screen

Some green light appears only on the pics posted by you. Any other black background for different display test apps stay complete black at different back-light levels.
I don't know what to do (to return the phone ore not?)
I have tried.
I have tried test1. Jpg
Result: there is green around the screen. At both sides and top and bottom.
Test2. Jpg
Result: the green is only visible in the light gray but not in the dark grey color.
What can you say? Thanks.

LG or boe?
LG sir.
Is the result of my phone gluegate or oled uniformity? Thanks
All this is too much hyped up i guess.
Lets not assume or generalise. There are huge number of batches and too many variations to pass such judgement
