Did you try clearing out cache and dalvik? Sorry that's my best guess and it's based off a different phone.

I'm trying to factory reset but I don't want to lose all my game data. I'm not rooted but wouldn't it be as simple as copying the game data to my external SD and inserting the game data back in after the wipe?

Yes it is, go to applications, then all applications. After that, find the app and select it...you'll see the disable option, that freezes the app.

Yes but I just updated phone and it wasn't working then I had to reroot it and I thought maybe I should try it again then it worked... Weird...
