I don't know if you have seen it but I added a download link for "Flashtool with Xperia U support"
And I'm talking with someone who has an unlocked Xperia U, when he wants to flash it fastboot says "remote download size too large"
Don't know if it will work for you, but it's a pretty weird error since the system partition should be big enough

It means you can't unlock your Xperia S unless you find a way to remove simlock I think.

[26/7][PORT][ICS, JB][U, P, Sola, Go][Black & White]Xperia Z Jelly Bean Small Apps

[26/7][PORT][ICS, JB][U, P, Sola, Go][Black & White]Xperia Z Jelly Bean Small Apps
[PORT][ICS, JB] XPERIA Z JELLY BEAN SMALL APPS & TASKSWITCHER
I have ported Xperia Z Jelly Bean Small Apps & Taskswitcher for ICS and JB.
Just flash via cwm and enjoy. Don't forget to wipe cache partition before flashing!
You can update the small apps or install new ones from Google Play.
NOTE!
ON ICS
After having flashed this port and booted, using a root browsing app go to system, app and delete com.smallapp.xxxxxxxxx.apk so that there aren't any conflicts with the ics small apps
ON JB
If you have flashed a previous version of this port then delete SmallAppsWidget.apk
If you haven't wiped data when you upgraded from ICS to JB in order to fix led bar
Navigate using a root browsing programm to /system/app/ and delete com.smallapp.xxxxxxxxx.apk so that there aren't any conflicts. If no app exists with that name in /system/app/ then go check /data/app/ for com.sony.smallapp.xxxxxxxxx.apk and delete them (I will try to intergrate it on updater script asap in order to be sure)
FOR BLACK TASKSWITCHER (BOTH ICS & JB)
Rename the file to Taskswitcher.apk push it to /system/app/ and set permissions to 644 (rw-r-r-)
WARNING!
I don't take any responsibility if your phone gets bricked by this port.
Small apps should be installed in order for this to work. Works on ICS and JB!
Here are the links for Small Apps on ICS:

For Xperia Sola: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1958242
For Xperia Go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1999016
On JB flash it as is

Tested and working on XPERIA U, on XPERIA Sola and on XPERIA P.
I haven't tested it on Go. Try it and tell me.
Don't forget to press thanks if you think I deserve it!
Enjoy !!!

Fix for small apps notes fc on ICS! (Thanks @KALI2000)
Delete Smallapp-Note.apk from /system/app, extract Smallapp-Note.apk from zip install and copy it to /system/app/. Then set right permissions (rw-r-r) (0644) and reboot.
Fix for small apps reset problem on JB! (Thanks @quisvir)
Go to /data/data/ and search for com.sonymobile.taskswitcher folder. Set permissions rwxrwxrwx (0777) do some changes in taskswitcher like add a small app and open it. Then reboot! It should work. Now you can change permissions back to rwxr-x--x (0751) and reboot.

It will just take free space

so basically the internal sdcard will act as a USB stick/pen drive...
you can use the classic/advanced copy manager (TotalCopy, etc) which give u greater level of control and possible better copy speeds (though this is debatable)...
also the internal sdcard will be now be easily mounted on linux devices which have issues recognizing MTP connection...

This is no Xperia L and M forum so please post it over there, and is there coming a free version also?
but why you duplicate threads @DooMLoRD if you can post it in android games/apps topic?

This is a general update on the app and not specifically for device.
Free version is posted on XDA almost a year back.
Sorry for the duplicate threads. One of the threads was moved to android games/apps topic. I am not creating any more threads for this, just keeping the old ones updated
sorry for trouble

[Xperia P, U, Sola, Go] CM 10.1 development thread/bug reporting

DEV THREAD HERE
So guys, you may or may not have read the stock jellybean thread by DevSwift1
So what's up? Developers of Samsung Galaxy S Advance, us, TeamCanjica, and maybe other devs from Galaxy S III Mini decided to build and adapt ST-Ericsson commits for compatibility from freexperia to CM-10.1. We later decided to share our work for Galaxy S Advance for other devices with ST-Ericsson SoC. Our success has been for now only for our device. Not because our development wasn't fast (we got almost fully working CM-10.1 in 4/5 days), it was because most of the devs of other devices just wanted CM10 or had/have limited developing knowledge or just wanted to stick with what was working.
So far, whats working on our device? Pretty much everything except camcorder (the only major bug we consider) and Wi-Fi tethering and other minor bugs.
Check our Samsung Galaxy S Advance thread if you want more info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108362
So, whats my proposal? If you are a dev of other Xperia(s) with our SoC, we invite you to look at our not-yet-completed source code at github.com/TeamCanjica
And ask if you need any porting help from us, please first send me a PM.
If you are a Xperia U user (not dev) experienced in bug reporting (adb, logcat, dmesg, etc) I invite you to test the current build for U at goo.im/devs/steandroid/kumquat/ and help us and DevSwift1 to debug the current build.
More info on last pages of this thread on Xperia U http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2284394

We have a jenkins server that builds and upload automatically everyday if we do changes to our repo. So, almost everyday there will be new builds on that link.
Whats the current status of the Xperia U debug build? It's booting but we can't test because we can't get to graphical interface yet. With booting we mean that the android internal server starts and pretty much start every needed service. From that point the phone stucks in bootanimation, we need to do more debugging yet. But so far we have done a lot in 2 days for this device
I hope we can have more common development for Xperias with ST-Ericsson System on a Chip and even others.
So...success!
Sounds awesome!
You should post a link to the rom in development section to. To run along side this one as not many people will see this as a link to a test rom here

If no interested dev on those devices, DevSwift will pretty much handle all the other devices, I don't know if he owns all those so that's why I am inviting other devs to look at our github.

Hi!
first we need full logcat.. i don't know why but after when phone vibrates debugging is disabled.. You can download latest build from goo.im and try get full logcat. Without that we can't get it working
All help is welcome
So as you can see android 4.2 is possible on our non-friendly for developers soc

Befor it also does this error (just after it recognises the screen):
Code:
E/STE-HWComposer( 1548): system/graphics failed to connect /dev/socket/hdmid, No such file or directory
And then it can't load hal for camera:
Code:

E/HAL ( 1564): Cannot load library: soinfo_relocate(linker.cpp:1013): cannot locate symbol "_ZN7android21SurfaceComposerClient15getDisplayWidthEi" referenced by "camera.montblanc.so"...
E/CameraService( 1564): Could not load camera HAL module
Also seems to be here the same audio bug of cm10 (as espected, i think).
I wil try to help as soon as I get my bootloader unlocked. Great job!

Sorry, for emergency, i had to return to stock ICS.
Now, if I have time, will try to reinstall the ROM and do a logcat. I don't know how, I'm a newbie on this. Searching a guide..
