You can't. The SGS3 has an SVDO modem as part of the chipset, the Note 2 doesn't.

actually i dont believe they can be seeing that the s3's processor is a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon, while the note 2 is an Samsung Exynos 4 (4412). also the s3 (in the us) is clocked @1400, while the note 2 is clocked @ 1600. the only probable port would be the i9305, it also has an exynos chip, but still clocked @ 1400.

lot more to it then just that. porting from another carrier base isn't hard but it's a whole different story from another phone.

Yeah I see you guy's point. I'm nothing near as intelligent as a developer, but I do enjoy learning about these things, which is why I ask questions. I want to get into developing so I can make my freaking HTC sense 4 ROM for my note 2. But I fear I have a long way to go lol. Thanks guys!!!

The galaxy S5 has just been presented and I am wondering how long it will take to get a safe strap rom based off of it to become possible on the s4. Is this possible?
We can't even get our own 4.4.2 from s4 I say never. Plus that ones bases on new hardware and sensors

Took hash code several months to get SS working for s4...The s5 will be more locked down. Just saying don't hold your breath....

Keep an eye out for Sbreen94s HD - he'll be one of the 1st, if not the 1st, to incorporate S5 features into his rom!
I saw that sprint users received 4.4.2 update. Can I install it on my international s3 9300 that runs on 4.1.2 ?

No, the hardware is totally different. If you want 4.4 them try a custom rom.
