What do I have to do to get rid of the Samsung and att crap. Keep spen features and benefits and get tweaks from aokp and other various roms. The only reason I stay stock is because hybrid is messy and aosp loses all the features I bought the phone for. Any takers? I know its complicated if not impossible but can you explain what would need to happen here?

Not to sound like a butt. But be pateint there are a lot of great devs and app biilders working on getting spen working properly on aosp and cm9. But in the mean time there are plenty of great roms that are debloated att crap gone and have all the spen features working.just need to read the op and pick which one sounds like what you want Flappjaxxx has a great rom out its le2 based debloated and spen features work.

Im no developer but Im pretty sure once official ICS is released and source is out it wont be long before that is possible but we'll see but yea like fezzy said there are plenty of great ROMS here already Flappjaxxx and Appdroid both have great stock ROMS that are debloated with all the touchwiz features available check em out
im using Papyrus and Memo for spen tw apps, image editing im using snaptastic on Paranoid android. I thought i would really miss some functionalities but so far so good, note running like a champ

I was under the impression that Samsung had released source for.the spen so im wondering when we will see custom shortcuts for the spen and the ability to use like stock Rom on aosp. Im just wondering if the day will ever come.

They have to release te source for ICS thats what the developers need

The S-Pen app has nothing to with having source or not. The problem is those apps from the stock rom need the TouchWiz framework.
So we would need to rebuild framework compatible cross launcher for aosp?

I really want Jellybean but I am reluctant to not have the sense experience I love (especially the camera) so I was wondering if there was anything for the EVO that offers both... the One X seems to have quite a few so I am hopeful that the EVO has one.

I'd think there would need to be a leak first. If there's no Rom leaked then there isn't anything to work on.

I'm also curious to see how the two will work together. I'd like to try JB also. But for the current JB roms that are out lack a few features id like to have such as beats audio and features of the camera

Thanks, I think I'll give it a try. Still may not be a daily driver due to the camera.
The siii camera is available for aosp roms, and pretty good
Just can't beat the sense camera software though. I hear jb and sense 4x have improved camera software. 29fps, better focus, ect

I've been meaning to ask a similar question, this seems like a good thread to bring up a discussion about what parts of Sense you miss in AOSP.
For me, definitely the camera. Beats audio is another one.
You can get the Sense clock widget in a .apk that works in other launchers.
Is there anything else?
Shortcuts, sense has a buttload of shortcuts that I can't live without. Plus the ui is great looking. Also quick settings. Sure everything is in ics and jb as well but its just not as polished.

For those who dont know me I dev with Team Slim, ROM is called Slim Bean, located here. Anyway I have tossing the idea of getting the note2 around in my head and bringing Slim Bean 4.2.1 to it as well If your interested in Slim Bean on the note2 drop a post so I can get a feel for how many want to see Slim Bean on this device.
What kind of question is that.... of course we want you to create a rom here. I use to run slim on my s3!! Amazing work

Well I had a similar thread for Slim Bean on d2usc. Got it up and running but interest just wasnt there, tester stopped replying and whatnot. The ROM was bug free to, as it was 4.2.1 version, IDK, some peoples kids I guess, lol.

Hell yeah! Bug free is my main thing as well. Definitely need working a2dp Bluetooth and GPS, which seem to be some of the most common CM bugs.

Hell yea would love to see that. The more choices the better. I remember on the S3 your ROM was pretty damn slim for a TW ROM and snappy as hell too :thumbup:

**** I forgot lol I remember now. I remember I tried out his ROM for a bit. I was thinking of someone else who made a slimmer TW ROM. Now that I look back at my S3 backups I remember. His ROMs were still really damn slim. The only ROM that was slimmer was Liquid but Slim still had lots of features while maintaining that slim package

I really am happy with the roms for our device up to date. Its not just the powerful hardware that gets me. I have plenty of other devices. Aosp, sense, touchwiz, blur. Out of all of the available roms. I'm really digging these LG roms. The launcher. Q-slide. Its all very functional for me. Oh and the calculator especially.
I think even though I'm dying to try Aosp on this phone like every one else. I think at the end of the day ill still be rockin an LG based rom. I was wondering if anyone else is thinking like me?

Yeah yeah. Some people get real ballsy on here. I flash what I like. Sometimes I use my cm7 defy. Sometimes other old phones. I've been on the base for a min. Now I'm playing with jb ports. I personally like them.

I actually prefer stock based ROMs. All the features of the phone work lol. I've been running The Base since I got my LGOG and have no intention of updating. The battery life and performance are flawless.

I've done the n4 conversion several times,flash the JB ports, but I always find myself coming back to LG stock Rom. It just works!

, you've got s5 theme but it's not touchwiz ofc.
The only people I've seen that want TouchWiz, aren't currently on Touchwiz...Trust me, it's better this way.

I've tried an S4 and found hardly any major differences between its UI, stock and LG's. people seem to really overblow its impact. speed wise there was also no perceptible difference.

On 4.4.2 there is a minor diff. But on 4.3 (s4) a lot.

Understanding people own preference but I don't know why some people hate it. I personally think TW is just fine if not great, I was on SGS2 shoman ROM and enjoy TW very much. I didn't see any problem with that. I was on Task's AOKP too. They were all great.
I'm sure here and there I see someone claim " I hate TW or i hate Sense or i hate ASOP , ......"
I guess each framework/launcher has its own advantages and disadvantages and people just find something to hate.
Imho the LG's ui is better than I've ever thougt, i came from dhd and hox. Sense is beautiful but LG has done a very big job during these years.
