[Q] My S3 (GT-I9300) is stuck in factory mode! please help... - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

my S3 is having some weird problems. when i start up, after a few seconds there would be a pop up that looks like a black box with some yellow codes and there would be a warning saying that it's on factory mode. the network won't work. I cant send mssgs or call. the wifi would be slow. it disables some of the features and my lock screen disappeared.
how can I fix this?

more details about your firmware please..

Bought a Galaxy S3 however all text is in Chinese

Hi all,
I bought myself a Samsung Galaxy S3 from the internet, however all text was in Chinese. That itself wasn't a problem as I managed to change to English, however there are still some Chinese letters/words in the Settings menu etc. The Play Store doesn't appear to be the correct store either and it came with tons of free apps, all in Chinese.
What would be the simpliest/easiest way to put a stock or custom UK (or even US) rom on this so its entirely in English?
I've tried googling/youtube but there are many many ways to do it, and all seem complicated or you end up with broken links or files etc.
Many thanks
I have a sneaking suspicion you haven't got a genuine S3 could you post more details or even some pictures with the back removed ?

What tells you that?
Just googled the following
ALPS.ICS2.MP.V1
And it leads the numerous fake i9300 links
You don't have an i9300 I'm afraid. Take a look in the back under the battery cover do you have dual sim slots ?

Back to repair - battery blinking - camera not working

Hi everyone,
after getting my phone from repair (battery was blinking). I have successfully rooted my phone with CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-v5.3-CWM5 and discovered the INSANE CHIP and SW:
Vers: 4.0.4
baseband: I9100BULP8
Kernel version 3.0.15-I9100XXLPQ-CL223505 [email protected] #3 SMP PREEMPT Fri Mar 9 02:19:25 KST 2012
Build: IMM76D.BULPG
As the device was upgraded to that version, I cannot send it rooted to repairs again because the camera doesn`t work. So and because f the Insane chip a cannot upgrade it to 4.0.4. What to do? Any ideas?
Thanks

Well the first of all, try flashing a different kernel, I've experienced the camera problem before, but after flashing Siyah kernel the problem was fixed for me, you can also try any other kernel and see what works for you. If it doesn't work, let me know and we can try other ways of fixing the problem.
I did what you sugested, but because of the INSANE chip i really don`t want to mess around a lot. So I flashed Siyah kernel and the SII doesn`t start up, but i can still come to Volume Up or Volume Down screen. All I know, that I cannot flash with original rom 4.0.4 because than will destroy the phone - wipe everything of it.
will that do the trick? LINK searching for XXLPQ
iflashed with original kernel, and the S2 woke up, but the problem still exists.
How can i find the same rom on sammobile? I did searched my operator but it is not listed there. I listed also the french ones and spanish ones and none of them is the same as mine.

If muppets like you want help include your country/or the original software version that came with the phone/the carrier you use etc.How can you expect anyone to link you up with software when you post what your on now.
Samsung can quite easily knock back your warranty if they find a rom that is not meant for the phone your sending them. They can look for signs of tinkering etc.

As I wrote in the first post
Vers: 4.0.4
baseband: I9100BULP8
Kernel version 3.0.15-I9100XXLPQ-CL223505 [email protected] #3 SMP PREEMPT Fri Mar 9 02:19:25 KST 2012
Build: IMM76D.BULPG
and I don`t find that specific one for my country.
COUNTRY: Slovenia
CARRIER: Vodafon (Si.mobil)
Before i have send it to warranty repair of usb connector, it had 4.0.3 (I9100BULPG_I9100SIMLP6_SIM) as it was updated via Kies. So it was updated at service, with something I cannot find.
If any more information is needed, PLEASE write it down, I will look after.
Thank you

Ok, you know what, just flash stock firmware...anyone will do. Then root your device and install triangle away, wipe your binary counter and the re-flash stock firmware and delete any root files/apps you might have. That deletes all evidence that you might have rooted your device and then send it for repairs. If you don't want to, just hard brick it and they will replace it for you, providing you still have warranty?

"Not registered on network" - After uninstalling Cyanogenmod 10.1 Nightly

That is the error message I get after I went back to a stock ROM (I9300XXEMC3) for my SGS3 I9300. I have tried a few methods to try and resolve this issue in the form of manually selecting Network Operators but with no luck.
It also appears that my IMEI is messed up (0000).
Here is some info about my SGS3

Same old question asked daily .
Restore your backed up EFS folder .
Failed to follow the guides and no backup then its a paid for service repair .
But worth once trying to flash a stock rom .

If it was me I would just reflash a stock rom. That will hopefully sort all your issues out. Have a look here for latest filmware.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487
Instructions on how to flash the filmware are also in the thread.
Hope this sorts it out for you.

Hello. My Wifi doesn't turn off if I toggle it. It seems like it the Wifi was off but it wasn't. I already tried it on the stock MK6 but I received the same results. On Battery it says Wifi wasn't turned off. Could you tell me how to fix this, please? Thanks in advance!
You need to go to the Wi-Fi sub-setting, press menu, press advanced, then uncheck scanning always available.
