Galaxy S3 charing issue - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all!
I use Galaxy Charging Current Pro to monitor my I9300 battery charging. When I plug it to the AC (wall socket), this app shows my phone charging performances as bellow. Is it a normal? If I use Sony's charger, there's no considerable change.
Maximum: 500
Now: 999
Avg: 500
Sometime maximum level goes to 280, 300 levels.
If it's an abnormal, what should I do?

Qtwrk, yes,I know about it, but the problem is Maximum level?

Just look at the charger's output current: if it matches the "Now" current, then your phone is charging just fine.
Stock charger for S3 is 1000mA, and through a PC's USB is 500mA IIRC.

As the App developer himself says, he doesn't know what the other 2 values are. It's only "now" that matters.

USB 2 is 475 (or 500)
USB 3 is 900
AC is 1000

I guess there's a issue with the charger. Today onetime when I use EU A/C charger Setting>Battery shows I use a USB connection.

3.7 runs cooler than the 3.8.... people were trading in their 3.8s for 3.7s
On gingerbread the 3.8 got much better life than the 3.7, on ICS it's about the same
Back in the early days of ICS for us, the 3.7v batteries (I believe) wouldn't charge past about like 87 ish percent while the phone was on, but the 3.8v would charge fully. We don't have that issue now though, there's no real difference anymore.

I've both. The 3.7 barely holds a charge for me, takes only two hours of screen on time to kill the battery and that's on wifi so go figure...
My 3.7 on the other hand..

Do you use Siyah kernel? This is a known bug on the latest version, the battery charge normally but the charging animation is broken.
Yeah I am using that kernel, no fix for it at the moment then?

I believe the new version, 1.5.1, fixes this. But notice that this is only a display issue: the battery is charging normally, just the animation that doesn't work.

[Q] [Advice Ask] New BST-38!

http://search.eim.ebay.gr/Mobile Ph...5032-2/?kw=bst+38&el=3&en=50&elc=3&ep=1&es=21
Could you choose some of them (the best) for me?Thanks,I don't want the genuine I want a higher capacity Li-Poly,not Li-ion one!
Problems I am experiencing (sorry if I misspelled that) is that : at sometime while charging the battery will be really hot and It will drain and ask me to plug in the charger! Also,I have to charge it everyday and if I open up YouTube/Angry Birds etc. and play/watch for 20 mins the phone will be really hot and I will lose like 50% of the battery.
Could you please tell me which battery does the best job (2500 mAhs are fake etc.,get those 1980 mAh batts)
Thank You , each thankful answer will earn a +1 on their thank meter

Normally the MaH advertised is fake. I get just as much performance from my 2500 maH one as I do my SE 930.

Talking about the same one, I've put my stock one in because I prefer it. The only real one that I know of is the Mugen one and they're really expensive.

Xperia S - charge indicator led

Is there some mod which can turn off the charge indication at night, or at least limit it's brightness? I like to sleep in total darkness, so I really don't like that my XS is lightning up the whole bedroom at night when its charging. Anyone knows a solution for this problem that doesn't involve putting sticker on the indicator?
You mena on red led?If that so just turn your phone on the other side so led faces surface where your phone is.No trouble anymore....

Yeah... great answers guys, especially for someone who bought a cradle for the phone.
I wouldn't ask this question on this forum if I didn't want the solution to be software related. So once again, is there a mod or an app that can turn off the charge indication at night, or at least limit it's brightness?
have you tried LightFlow?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...htflowlite&feature=more_from_developer#?t=W10.
It may work if you are rooted and run it in direct mode.
I've not tried it as I just turn my phone over lol.

Sorry I meant the mode before AP. Where you can select it, among other options. It takes along time to charge. It should work.

Try the method explained by me in this thread.
If you have safestrap installed, boot into that and it should charge as well.
