Yes I'm a newbie but I want to thank you guys in advance for your help. I just bought a Noria by Chromo Android tablet with a 10" screenabout a week ago.I'm hooked up to my wifi at home. Today my ZTE Android cell phone fell in the water. ughh. Thru the simplest computer language possible how can I use my tablet with my cell phone number until I get a new cell phone? This table requires a "3g dongle" to receive mobile data if that helps? Thanks a bunch.

Hello everyone, I recently purchased an Atrix off CL to use with the new straight talk BYOD plan. I know I can find a cheap laptop dock off CL or ebay or what not and I know it's limitations but my question is:
Since I have to change the data settings and all that, will the dock work without it knowing it has to tether or however it acts when connect to do the dock? I don't know the behavior of the dock fully or what it asks and I haven't seen anyone ask a question just like this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

When you conect to the lapdock it checks for data plan (assuming your wifi is off)
If your wifi is on however it just starts normally and you can browse and do whatever you want.(on wifi only)
There is a way to get it to work with cellular data without having to get a bigger data plan but I haven't personally tried this method but I'll send you the link.
As for buying the lapdock heres a good site to go to :
try this site all4cellular they have refurbished lapdocks for $100 and new ones for retail price.I bought a refurb and its got no issues

I have samsung Galaxy S2 AT&T one (SGH i777). I have been using with proper care so far now. One day suddenly my power button stopped working. As it was out of warranty , I went to local phone repair shop in San Jose, CA, USA(Which has good ratings on yelp). They fixed the problem. But at the same time my simcard was not recognizing at that moment. So I thought may be i have to take new sim. So I visited AT&T store. They did software data reset and tried with new simcard. Still my phone always shows "Please insert simcard" and at range position it shows circle with one line it.
Has anybody experienced this problem ? Will the rooting of my phone help in this case ? Please advice me . Phone is in excellent condition and as it was my first android device I dont want to throw it .

Sounds like a hardware problem. Was this an issue prior to the repair of the power button?

Hello everyone. I haven't been in the loop with Android developing in a while but I find myself forced to modify a phone once again. I recently purchased a used S3..Cintacted the carrier (Sprint) before i bought it. Had the ESN checked, was told it was good to go. After about 6 hours of trying to get it activated, online chat, customer service phone call, and In-store, i was finally told that the phone was junk and the network wouldn't recognize it. I'm now tryin to change theMEID info so it can be used again. I've never done this before but have found a couple how-to articles. I'm in need of the ODIN rom file JB 4.1.1 and the G2 radio. Hi, I recently bought this phone for $10 at Walmart. It is for Straight Talk. All I really need is a phone for my 8 year old to carry around the house to watch youtube. That's about it. So basically I don't need it to do anything other than connecting to my Wifi at home.
Is this possible? Or do I have to activate it with some prepaid carrier? Will it keep nagging me everytime to get prepaid minutes for it? And does anyone know whether it comes with the Sim card already?

Hello, my friend imported a Galaxy tab s model sm-t807v from USA, unfortunately it looks like the wifi and bluetooth chip is completely dead since it doesn't work after a factory reset, this means it's stuck on the registration screen because it asks for a wifi connection to register the tablet and it can't possibly see wifi networks, and also we don't have a Verizon sim card because they don't exist here in Argentina . So we are stuck in this screen and we can't use the tablet at all, there's no way to get pass the activation screen because the wifi is dead, and since it's an imported product there's no warranty.
The official samsung store in my country told my friend they can't do anything about it (at least they confirmed the wifi chip is dead, and they don't do repairs from this model). My friend have vision impairment so he really needs a tablet with a good screen that's why he imported it.
So my question is, is there any way to get pass the activation screen so at least he can use the tablet with broken wifi, or is there any way to install a custom rom that doesn't ask for activation?
Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to break a stolen tablet, I do have the purchase information from tiendamia.com though. Any help would be appreciated, worst case scenario I was thinking on just disassemble it and sell the parts so he can buy a new one.
