Leaks - HTC Droid DNA

Is it only Samsung to have leaks like for 4.4.2?
Why doesn't HTC have leaks??

Ahh soon... soon young one
you do realize the possible legal repercussion of leaks right?
just making sure
because as I know ... its not fun to get a email from a service provider or from a vendor saying cease and desist..

Maybe Samsung just has more dishonest employees than HTC does.

Verizon Rejecting Motorola GB Updates?

This is interesting.
Found these links in the Moto Atrix forums.

Wonder if there is truth to this or not.
if it is true then +1 to verizon. tmobile or att would probably allow them even if they were buggy.
Yeah I saw that on phonearena.com this morning. I wonder how often this kinda stuff happens. Moto needs to step up their game bigtime.

Lmao are you kidding me? Have you seen how long it takes AT&T to push out updates to their android phones?
I'd rather have a buggy release sooner because devs on XDA are like 10x faster at fixing them anyways.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
Maybe the update also has the possibility to unlock bootloader and Verizon is saying f*&k no, take it back.
probably not, but would suck for vzw users
Hopefully that doesn't delay the Atrix update D:
Forget that. Send it out now. I trust our devs more than moto to fix the bugs and do it better lol.

It's relevant because the same or similar bugs could exist in the Atrix GB they are developing. Also, if they are putting more resources into making Verizon happy, this could delay an Atrix release.
The whole point of the thread was to raise discussion about the possible implications if this news is in fact true.
I don't think that it should have any effect on our beloved Atrix 2.3 release (AT&T version), coz the bootloader is unlocked, so even if the update will be buggy the skillful devs here at XDA will do there magic to provide us with stable roms.

I believe you are wrong. As soon as the GB update goes live everyone is going to dump the HKTW build and flash the Moto update. At that point everyone is running stock and waiting for devs to fix all their complaints. Yes most of us will not be running stock, but that will be after the update comes.

I'm not dumping the HKTW build until it's been verified that the AT&T 2.3.4 build will have an unlockable bootloader. I've had a couple of friends that got hurt by the Sprint EVO 4G update and are still stuck waiting just to get root back.

With Jelly Bean and all of its great features which makes it pretty much the fastest Android platform ever, owners of recent hardware are wondering just*when will the latest Google platform be released for their phones. In case of the*Samsung*Galaxy*S III, rumor has it that Samsung is already allegedly finished the refresh and should be pushing it out in August or September. The*Samsung*Galaxy*S*II, while not a fresh hardware, is still a very popular Android phone (and one of the two most popular Samsung phones). Same report claims that Samsung has started testing the Android 4.1 update on the Samsung Galaxy S II. While there is no further information out there (nor official) we’re left wondering; there SGSIII update is certain (the only question is when) while the SGSII refresh will definitely be a nice touch for the millions of owners out there.

To me, you would think this, being a pretty big development, would break here on XDA.
While I am hoping its true, as I am holding off until something like this is released, it just seems a little to good to be true.
But go for it if you want!
Just follow a guide on here, it's pretty much dead simple to unlock your bootloader through HTC. I highly doubt this is legit but in the time it took you to make this post and wring your hands about it you could have unlocked the bootloader, rooted and installed a custom rom.
netstal trembley
im not saying its not legit but, like said a couple of posts above, if it was legit, i'd think it would be xda by now
My theory - If no one has commented anything at all and there's no one to vouch for it, don't become the martyr or the first victim.
I'm happy about the feed back from you guys. This is the reason I posted it here, because I knew someone would have a good insight about this topic.

Click the download button and it says right there that it won't work. Only supports android up 4.0.3, and no HTC devices although they hope to support them in the future. It's virus free according the VirusTotal, but I still wouldn't use it on a supported phone without confirmation from someone else that it won't ruin it.
Hi, I'm one of the people behind the development of One Click Root. I can assure you our software does not contain viruses or any other malicious code.
The poster above me is correct. We currently don't have support for HTC devices as we're still working on a few of the finer details of automating HTCDev.com bootloader unlocking. We do hope to add support for HTC devices in the near future, along with a number of the most popular new devices on the latest ICS and Jelly Bean OS versions.

1.29 update

Is it possible to install the 1.29 update on an ATT HTC One? Would I require an unlocked bootloader to do that? Are there repercussions I should be aware of?
You can flash any International ROM once you're unlocked/rooted/custom recovery. All of which are most likely based on .29 WWE firmware.

The whole point of having software versioning in increasing order is to correspond to new developments. I have hard time believing the camera, beats and any other "improvements" made in 1.29 is in AT&T's 1.26.

Why not. Do you know how product cycles work? They just don't make all the phones at one time... Theres the pre production phones which were at the announcement and early reviewers. Then they would of started the intl version production soon after if not it was already done. If they decided to make an adjustment during the making of the intl ONE it's easier to continue the product run and fix with a ota than it is start all over... US versions have to be picked over before production. So they would of had time to tweak software.
So no it's not naive. Saying there's no way is naive .

Personally I rather one of our smart forum members to give is the 411 on the different binaries within the firmware. As I have said before, the proof is there.
