[Q] Resetting the phone and stuck - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I have a rooted verizon galaxy s4 and because of some problems (rebooting randomly) I decided to factory reset the phone. So I went to settings, accounts, and reset the phone but now its stuck at this screen with a green android bot and below says Downloading... Do not turn off target!!
Its this screen for like 30 minutes now... What should I do???
Thank you so much

Hopefully, all is well....the download is 1.5 gb so depending on your location and speeds, it will take awhile.
Be thankful it thats all you have to do.....
Just wait....

HELP! Samsung galaxy s2 sgh-t989 stuck in the ultimate boot loop.

Ok, so heres the deal. The s2 is my sisters phone, and she comes home and told me the phone wont turn on, that its stuck on the boot screen and it just keeps turning off and doing it again. So I started looking into it (Im an iPhone user, so I'm not too familiar with android devices. BUT I do know a bit about computers, cell phones and just technology in general). I ended up finding out that its stuck in a soft brick. So I started youtubing how to fix it. Found a great method using Odin3 and Samsung Kies. AND IT WORKED. I turned the phone back on, got past the lock screen and everything was all good.
After about 30 seconds, THE PHONE BRICKED AGAIN:crying:. And it went right back into the boot loop, I cant get it into download mode because it just keeps restarting after a couple of seconds. With that happening, I cant get the computer to recognize it so I can do a recovery fix with Samsung Kies. I legit cannot find any solution to it.
The thing that baffles me and is causing me a huge headache is the fact that THE PHONE IS NOT ROOTED. nothing has been done to it, its completely stock. So if there is no solution to it, can somebody at least tell me what might have been able to cause this?
Thanks to all,
Dariel
Well, you're in the wrong forum for the SGH-T989. That's probably your issue.

[Q] Problems with Samsung Galaxy Rugby (GT-S5690R)

So, like many a noob before me, excitedly learning about the world of rooting and having no Idea what they were doing, I broke my phone.
At first I thought my phone was bricked (boot looped) and I was trying to teach myself ADB to fix it. But I've realized if I leave it on for 45 or so minutes it'll actually start up. Now, as annoying as that is, I can work around it (don't turn off the phone unless I'm not gonna need it for awhile) and my main problem is that it's stuck in Airplane mode. I can "switch it on or off" but it always stays on.
Any Ideas as to might be causing this?
Factory Data Reset doesn't do anything.
Thanks!!

[Q] Downloading update package stuck on 0%

Hi y'all!
I am one of that dozen people who own a Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablet.
Ever since last night I got a message on my tablet saying "downloading update package " but it doesn't do anything and it's just stuck on 0 %.
I reset my tablet several times and I also did a factory reset. Neither of these worked.
why am I having this issue and what can I do to solve it?
Same problem.
Have you found any help with this? I have the same issue. Clicking on the download does nothing and there is no way to cancel it. I do find that it drains the battery to the point that I can't have it unplugged and use it. Did you call verizon or anyone for technical support? I have not as been working and just don't want to call and have them make me repeat everything I have already tried.
download update package stuck on 0%
I just got off the phone with Verizon and they had me turn off my WiFi and leave the mobile data usage on. Turn the tablet off and back on and my downloadad the update. I guess leaving the WiFi off is the trick to download.
Hope this helps
fixed
Ya me too and was coming back to let others know. You have to turn off wi-fi . I didn't have to reboot it start as soon as turned it off. Odd to make a major update force you to use mobile. Guess Verizon wants to make sure only subscribers get to update. Just one more way they figured out how to screw their customers.

S8+ Bootloop, Odin Fail... Is it dead? Running out of possible fixes!

Hello all,
This past Saturday my Galaxy S8+ froze up and the display showed a bunch or discolored horizontal lines, then it shut down and went into a bootloop. I know this isn't an uncommon issue but it seems this usually happens from a botched upgrade/flash attempt. I've never attempted this and was just using my phone as normal. I have read through many bootloop threads and tried many of the troubleshooting steps, but I haven't had any success.
I'm starting to wonder if there's a hardware issue now. I'm hoping someone might have a new suggestion I could try, or point out any mistakes I made in my previous troubleshooting. I'm new here, so sorry if I left out any important details below, please let me know.
Thanks for helping!
Symptoms:
Phone is in a bootloop.
On occasion it comes out of the loop and displays some new phone setup menus (since I did a factory reset), but it crashes fairly quickly (and display gets distorted again) and re-enters the bootloop. It varies how far I can get into the new setup, before it crashes, but generally it's a matter of seconds.
On occasion, it comes out of the loop and displays a "System software not authorized by AT&T" message.
Attempts to fix:
Went into recovery*mode, wiped cache. Same results on reboot.
Went into recovery*mode, factory reset device. Same results on reboot.
Odin tool (3.13.1) and flashed lastest G955USQ8DTJ1_G955UOYN8DTJ1_VZW from sammobile. Device reached 32%, stayed for a while, then rebooted and back to bootloop.
Samsung Smart Switch, but then I discovered they neutered the app and it won't recover a device anymore.
Tried iMyFone Fixppo, but it failed to find latest FW for the device.
Phone details:
S8+ (SKU: SM-G955UZKV)
Bought it reburb 2 years ago.
It has never been rooted by me, so everything is stock.
Memory was close to full, but I still think I had a few GB left.
It was on VZW when bought, but I had it unlocked so I could use on AT&T.
In downloader mode, it says "Carrier: VZW", "Current Binary: Samsung Official", "FRP Lock: On", "Warranty Void: 0x0"

Can you run graphics test from recovery mode? i guess something is overheating during boot. Can you put the device on a water/ice bag to lower the temp, and do factory reset ? as you said it displays some setup menus so its worth a shot

Seems to perform the graphics test fine. It cycles through all the graphics tests and then returns to the recovery menu.
I tossed the phone in the freezer for a few minutes and then tried a normal reboot. To my surprise it booted into the new phone setup menu, but this time it didn't crash right away. I was actually able to get through the complete setup and restore all my old apps (hooray google backups). In all, it probably worked for about 5 minutes before crashing again. I repeated the test, and verified that cooling it down does help.
So, great call! But what does that mean? Is there anyway to determine what is causing is this without a tearing it open?

Nice i guess it should be the processor thats heating.
You can find the location of the heatsink/thermal paste/process here (around 3:30 min mark)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRmY-4HKVIk&t=362s&ab_channel=JerryRigEverything
The processor seems to be located below Bixby button.
You can also try gently pressing the spot where processor is located to seat it back, but am not sure how long it may stay. if the thermal paste is dry and not in contact with processor, you have to open the device.
Or you can take it to a local repair shop for some assistance.
