request for a few files from original ROM - Verizon LG G3

Long story short, I made the mistake of using Titanium Backup to integrate update into ROM for a few of the google updates that have been upgraded on my Verizon LG G3 since the phone release. Unfortunately one of them killed some of the features on my phone like "ok google" from any screen. I can turn it on but when I try to say "ok google" three times to train it, it does absolutely nothing and won't the option won't stay enabled. The google search widget does however recognize voice commands correctly. I'd rather not reinstall the stock firmware on my phone if possible so I am hoping someone could extract the following APK files from their ROMS, not the updated ones that play services installs. I tried extracting the .TOT file which worked but then had lots of .BIN files and couldn't find a tool that would extract them so I could do this myself. I'm hoping to replace APK files that Titanium Backup replaced in the ROM with the originals in hopes of getting everything working again. Restoring from a Titanium backup didn't help either, using both app and/or app+data.
I'm looking for the following files from a stock USA Verizon LG G3 phone.
/system/priv-app/GoogleServicesFramework.apk
/system/priv-app/Phonesky.apk
/system/priv-app/GMSCore.apk
If this doesn't work, I guess I will have to install the stock ROM.

Posted the apks to my sftp server, sftp://crackrobba.no-ip.biz:2222 with username "xda" and password "xdapassword". If you don't have an Android sftp client, AndFTP works well. I've included a screenshot of the settings page of AndFTP.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

[Q] + [REQ] Stock Memo app

I recently updated my wife's phone and lost the memo app. I thought nothing of it, because I do not use it myself, but she is pretty disappointed about it being gone.
So, first my question - will the stock fascinate Memo app run on EB01?
and second my request - could someone hook me with a link to DL it? I have looked and looked to no avail. I have found the backup of it in Titanium Backup, but Restore is not an option (prompting the question of whether it can run in EB01), and I would really like to get it back for her.
I did find this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=930430 but the link is dead... Likewise, I thought to use Rom Manager, however I have read that it is not compatible with the new CWM, and if I open it, it tell me I need to flash CWM, which I don;t think I should do on EB01 SC2.4V... Really at a loss on this.
Any assist is greatly appreciated.
nobody? nothing?
Did u try just extracting the apk and using root explorer and just dropping it into system/app folder and rebooting? I find this will work for most apps that wont install directly or through cwm.
Edit. Here is a link. Hope it helps.

I guess I am confused on that line - I have seen that recommendation for other apps and issues, but I do not know where to find the apk - that is where my issue really lies...
TB does show it listed, just no restore option, and I am unable to locate the apk anywhere - market or web (so far)
I do appreciate the look...

exactly what I have been searching for - thank you so very much.
<ETA> how come you rock so hard? That was exactly the fix I was looking for and we are back to happy land. I sincerely appreciate the assist.
No problem

My wife is the same way..she wanted the stock note app. But I finally convinced her to switch to color note because you can't restore the notes..so even if you get the app back..every time there is an update she will lose her notes.
Blackhole 4.2 on EB01 Froyo.
backup samsung memo database
this might be too little or too late for some of you but maybe not for others ..
I found the samsung fascinate memo stores everything in ...
/dbdata/databases/com.sec.android.app.memo/memo.db
if you have root access, you can copy this file to sdcard or through other method.
you can then restore it after you reimage (I assume you can) I haven't tried it yet. again I assume you need root to restore it ...
also - it is a SQLite database - so you can use "SQLite Database Browser by tabuleiro" on your PC to see all the notes. it's available on sourceforge.
click on second tab "Browse Data" - then choose table called "memo" and you will see all the memos show up in a table. double click each one and you can export, or just copy/paste.
probably a moderately skilled SQL admin can get all the data extracted with a few queries.
I was thinking of attempting to create an app that would back it up and restore or export. perhaps it could work with any db on the device.

Bluetooth sync contact from older phones

I installed one of the custom roms (could be cyanogenmod7 beta) for Wildfire 1-2months back, and come across a very handy app/tool, where I can sync contact with my older phone via bluetooth. To do that, i dont even have to select all the contacts from my older phone and send it to my Wildfire. I only have to pair it and connect, select the phone model that im using and press ok, and see it magically sync the contacts over from my Sony Ericsson K610 to my Wildfire.
But the rom wasn't stable, so I restored the original rom back to my phone. I couldnt remember what the app was called, or is it a build in function/tool for stock Android rom? Recently I install the stable version of Cyanogenmod 7 and couldnt find this tool anymore, been searching all around android market and Google too but to no avail.
Anyone come across this wonderful bluetooth contact syncing app/tool?
It's a feature present in the Stock ROM's. It's called Data Transfer (Or simply Transfer, can't remember exactly)
EDIT: Transfer Data, thanks to this YT video.

THANKS! thats what i was looking for, how come this wasnt bundle with Cyanogenmod 7
By the way, where can i get this app?
Its an HTC App, so it wont be bundled with CM.
If you specifically want to use this app, you will have to get a Sense ROM.
Or, you can use one of the many PC Apps which can backup your contacts from your K610 and import them into your Wildfire. (Including the SE Suite which is included on your disc)
EDIT: Someone has posted it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970907
Although it will probably not work with CM7, you can still give it a try.

The custom sense ROM i used previously doesn't comes with Transfer Data. probably being removed by the ROM developer. Anyway thanks for the info, the TransferData.apk in the link you posted earlier is not workable, with error message "INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES"
In that case, just use a SAFE RUU. They are untouched Releases, with only the Radio and Updated Bootloader Removed.
Try this one:

Or, you can install WildPuzzle. It definitely has that installed. (Just checked its install ZIP)

[Q] Samsung Dive dependancies for ICS roms?

I am trying to get Samsung Dive working on my phone but I think the rom developer removed some files since settings just crashes when attempting to turn it on, so I want to replace them.
According to a old list the four apks needed are
IMEITracker.apk
signin.apk
MobileTrackerEngineTwo.apk
syncmldm.apk
Of these the last two are still around on my rom but I can't find the first two anywhere even in the stock samsung LPQ firmware files which I extracted on my computer, so I assume they are depreceated.
Does anyone know what else I need to get Dive to work? I am unable to use any SMS controlled tracking software due to other software choices I have made so this is important to me.
I finally figured it out by doing a diff on the list of apks from the stock firmware and my chosen rom and getting a short list of removed apks led me to the only one that sounded like a option and it worked.
For anyone else looking I only had to replace Samsungservice.apk and Dive started working great.
mine.still does't work after i put the mobiletrackengine.apk and samsungservice.apk can you list what do you have in system/app
I've added those Samsung prerequisites but when I try to enable Remote Control the small popup comes and says: Register Google account first.
But I have already google account (and samsung account) in Accounts and sync.
Do you know what that means?
I used to have Samsung dive on gingerbread and it worked.
Hi guys,
As far as I know you need "SevenEngine.apk" & "SyncmlDM.apk". It took me ages to figure out.
I hope this helps
Ok, I've installed all apks you mentioned, then remove and add google and samsung account and it seems to work but I can't connect through samsung dive. I've tried with different internet connection..
Hi, I've the same error, I only have tu push samsungservices.apk and I can log in into my samsung account, but in samsungdive, no service can connect, nor location either call logs.
Can anyone upload these files?
Thanks!

Any further advancements on the requirements of what is needed to get tracking set up. I am making sure this works after my SGS1 got stolen. On SGS2 now with custom ROM, but went to the trouble of downloading stock firmware and deodexing entire ROM to make SURE this works.
Anyone know what the gingerbread mobiltrackerUI.apk did? I have included that in my ROM as well to see if that will make any difference?

Thanks, actually I have the original optus ROM and have deodexed it and have all packages from standard LP8 ROM and it still says I have to register my Google Account? I have gone on to dive......still no go? I want to enable remote control so I can eventually get the wiperreceiver.apk working from the Gingerbread ROM, if I have remote control working it won't take me long to get the app functioning on my phone I'll happily wipe my phone to test it lol, so long as I back up to ext SD card and pull the card from the phone and then test it

Register google account first
Hello,
i'm using darkyROM and added all the apks mentioned here (related to samsung dive).
I can tick the option to notify when SIM card changed, but I am unable to tick the remote control option. When I try to enable it, is shows a notification stating "Register google account first".
Can somebody tell me what's wrong or list all the apks needed (the link on previous page (wuala.... ) is broken.
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Jellbean 4.3 App Deleted

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999L with Android 4.3, then downloaded Titanium Back-up, and then started removing several apps (in an attempt to strip the bloatware). Now when I go to Google Play and try to install a new app, I click the "Install" button and wait for the progress meter to reach 100%, but no "Open" button appears afterward (which used to happen). When I search my phone, there are no icons for any of the new apps I try installing.
Does anyone know which app I deleted that caused this problem? Thank you.
Put back you're nandroid backup. (I assume you make one before you start deleting some apps.)
Or flash a stock rom back without whipping. So you dont lose some data.
Send From A Devil3 - f2fs - Dualboot Jb4.3/cm11 Powered Machine
Have you tried rebooting the phone?
if you have installed TB then you have rooted the phone obviously. Explore your data folder from the root directory using TB or any advanced file explorers like Root explorer or Es file explorer. Find the apk files of the apps you have installed just to verify if your play store has downloaded the apps to your phone.
Also are you sure if you removed only bloatware or any core apks related to your android system... like eg: application provider.apk
I did not make a backup. Before flashing a ROM, I wanted to post here and see if anyone knows what app being deleted caused the behavior I described. That's what I'm wondering: Do you know which specific app being deleted would cause Google Play to have the described problem? When I try to install a new app, it gets to "100%" on the status bar, but subsequently fails to display the "Open" button. Everything else on the phone works flawlessly and I put a lot of time into customizing the phone with apps I like.
Having said that, I am curious about the option to flash a ROM that you mentioned. The reason I did not want an Apple phone is because they seemed to restrictive of options and freedom. But lately I am thinking about Google censoring AdBlock from Google Play, the EFF's criticism of doing away with AppOpps, and shoving Google+ down the throats of YouTube users. So, I looked into Cyanogen but my model of phone was not listed on Cyanogen's website for phones tested to work. I am interested to exploring the idea of flashing a ROM (which I never did before) but I definitely want to keep my 4G LTE functioning via T-Mobile. Any ideas?

[ROM] [04-04-15] DOB1 Stock ROM & Slim Rooted ROM

If you haven't already, you should update your bootloader and modem using this thread.
UPDATE 04-04-15
EDIT2: no longer available
EDIT: Clock package was not removed. Please use Play Store replacements for essential functions (Chrome, QuickPic, Google Camera, etc). There are other changes as well, such as just reducing the size of the file by removing unused system libraries. If you would like the QuickConnect and S-Finder buttons gone, I believe there are xposed mods for it.
Recovery-Flashable Zip (*NOTE: YOU MUST FLASH SUPERSU AFTER FLASHING ONE OF THESE)
Please check http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5/development/testing-debloated-dob1-rom-t3077507
Both of the Flashable Zips are Odexed, and the Slim Rooted one comes with the Calculator, and Calendar Sync for Google. There are still apps to be removed, and this is in progress. GPS and Maps is working.
Two backups are provided, one of them is about 2.2GB (after extraction), and it contains the full stock rom, with nothing removed, including Knox. The second is about 1.1GB (after extraction), and it contains heavily de-bloated and rooted rom, with everything from this thread removed (but not NFC), and also Knox. A few other things are also removed, but nothing essential.
EDIT: Backups no longer available.
rmanne said:
I'm currently unable to convert a TWRP backup into a recovery flashable zip (I'm using instructions from here), so for the moment, only the backup itself will be available.

Flashed this over my previous install and it works perfectly. Only wiped boot and system partitions. Thanks.

Yes. That's what I did.
Any more feedback on this? This is exactly what I've been looking for. For the most part I debloated the rooted version of the stock install myself as I prefer the smoothness of odexed roms. But I'd love to try this rom out, thank you for putting this together!
I'm curious about gps performance and if Screencast works. I love sharing my screen with my roku, but since flashing ktoons kernel I seem to have lost that ability, even flashed back to stock kernel and still had same prob. Anyone out there who can conform it works on this rom?

Nice! I don't have the targets to test whether or not Screencast works or not. GPS performance will be comparable to the Stock ROM. I believe that it includes A-GPS, but I'll have to recheck Samsung's specification to be sure.
Great StockROM!
I'm having some issues, please can somebody confirm if it's only me:
1) Google Calendar is not syncing. I think we need Samsung' calendar to work.
2) Google Maps FC

Thanks for testing it, I'm currently in the process of testing a Recovery Flashable Zip, and this time, I'll add in the calendar syncing app. I had removed it in the previous releases (called "GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter"), so not syncing was intended. Is the Maps you're talking about something you downloaded from the Play Store or was it included (it shouldn't be, just making sure)? I'm not really sure what would be causing the FC with a Play Store release, but I'll look into it soon.
Hello,
I thought Google maps was restored from titanium but I even downloaded from play store and still FC.
Also, I know this is a very lite ROM but if possible please add calculator lol... I feel weird downloading a calculator from store
