[Q] Confuse Flashing a StockROM

hello guys, I just newbie. I hope you can help me.
I just failed to root/flashing my SGS-2 (GT-I9100-intl-android4.0.4-I9100DXLPB) with CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXX_LPB-v5.2-CWM5.zip through odin3 and my phone ended up failed to boot (keep showing blackscreen with sgs2 logo + yellow triangle below it) and then the phone is shutdown. but it's still can boot into recovery mode and download mode...
so.. I tried to fix it by flashing the Stock ROM I9100DXLPF_I9100OLBLPF_XSE (download from sammobile.com) through odin3. As a result, these steps successfully fixing my phone!! :victory:
but, what makes me confused is after succed flashing it back to the stock ROM, my android version is still 4.0.4+I9100DXLPB (the pre-FailedToRoot) and not 4.0.3+I9100DXLPF (according to the ROM that I downloaded from sammobile.com above.
is this normal? please give your opinion? what should I do??
thanks..
P.S : SOrry for my bad english.. I hope you understand what I'm saying..
It's the baseband name, it's an international radio version based on your region; So you can use the device as a phone in your country.

[Q] Galaxy S Duos call problems

Galaxy S Duos
gt s7562
SSN S7562GSMH
Rooted, installed cwm, flashed new room.
After dialing a number the call stays only a few second and than disconects. It says out of service area. Than when i try dialing again it says mobile network not available.
Cant find the stock firmware anywhere, even on sammobile firmware list.
I flashed 3 different rooms and the same problem with calls.
Where can i find the stock firmware for S7562GSMH? Or any other solution for custom rom.
I tried PMP_Ultra_ROMv1, PMP_Light_ROMv7 and KOR-Release-340. Same problem.
i've got the same problem... did you managed to find a working firmware?
where the hell is SMH anyway? I bought my phone in Malaysia, but I believe it was an import phone.

OK, I got it working with this stock ROM.... S7562XXBMJ1
Ensure baseband is same or higher
Many ROM developers specify the baseband you should use while flashing the ROM. Always ensure this is same or higher to that. From my personal experience higher baseband worked for me. Also, ensure formatting of cache and dalvik cache.
For those who face issues in rooting, i have written a detailed guide. Please find below.

Look here to solve >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/ref-imei-efs-stuff-i9300-including-t2393289 <<
you have to flash older baseband if the problem occured after upgrading. ie. you were on 4.0 (older) and flashed 4.3 (newer) you have to flash the older baseband. (the modem file of 4.0).
if you dont get this. try
1. flashing the original stock rom
2. flash other modem files.
dont forget to hit thaks if i helped you n any way

Samsung i9300 not registered on network after update

I bought a used factory network unlocked S3 i9300
it had 4.1 , i downloaded 4.3 from Samsung-updates.com and i flashed the stock recovery and stock firmware using odin (i downloaded the first one "GT-I9300 NZC I9300XXUGNJ2" (i think because my phone is not tied to any network operator i cold choose any firmware)
i followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/fix-s3-to-factory-unroot-stock-recovery-t2323847
every thing went smooth and good now i have android 4.3 but the problem is that when i call a number i get not registered on network
i'am confused why is this happening ?
i had seen some pages on the web that say root the device and install custom recovery then flash a modem file...
i dont want to root my s3 , and why the hell it is not working and i'am using Samsung stock firmware why do i have to flash a 3rd party stuff to make calls working !!!
note: the IME after update is correct

Was the phone running the latest bootloader and modem before you flashed a custom rom?

I was running a stock rom on a stock kernel for the modem i dont know.
Sounds to me like the bootloader and modem are too old for the custom rom. Flash the latest stock rom from Sammobile.com to ensure the modem and bootloader are matched and up-to-date.
Are you sure it is an i9300 motherboard? Not a Korean or Japanese version?
You can confirm the model number by booting into Odin mode.
Yea the motherboard is GT-I9300 so its international version
I have downloaded from sammobile and tried custom rom stillno work but when i got the motherboarc it had android 4.1.3 or 4.1.2 i dk
You confirmed the model number in Odin mode? What error are you getting in the Odin log?
There is no error it says that its custom and nothing else
The Odin log comes from the app, not the Odin screen on the phone.
On the phone's Odin screen, it says gt-i9300?
On the phone it says that its gt-i9300 but when i connect my phone to odin it dosent say anything
