Blackberry Connect on Atom
Hi,
I have installed Black Berry connect on my Atom Exec. I am using RC3 by Abusalza.

Try to install and take your pda to Local BB Supplier. He will try to configure the same.

Qtek and crushed motherboards
The only way you'll crush your Qtek upgrading from Pocket PC 2002 to Windows Mobile aka Pocket PC 2003 is if you physically sit onto of the device while the upgrade is being processed. If you believe this, boy do I have some very cheap igloos in Alaska for you to buy!

Thanx ARZLEB
Sorry for asking much
but the www.pocketpc4arab.com is not working with me is it with u
then the post u put contains beta arabization do u suggest me to use it and when i back up my rom on a MMc card can i use this card for another programs or i should leave it as a back up only
thanx

www.pocketpc4arab.com Seems down try this one:
http://www.ppcme.com
Actually i don't suggest to use Arabic in general this is my opinion as what to do its your decision.
As for the MMC i suggest when you back up your ROM it not to use it for any other thing even if you try the MMC would require format to be able to write on it anything else so that mean you will loose all the Backup data.
If you need anything else just keep asking till you get all the anwsers...
regards
Thanx Alot ARZLEB

Not a problem at all
Hi,
I've just put on WM2003SE a few days ago. Few quirks but I can live With them. Mines the Irish model but the Irish and UK upgrades have always been the same so I don't see this being a problem for you.
ftp://xda:[email protected]/HimalayaSE206/windowsmobile2003se.exe
You also might want to upgrade to ActiveSync 2.8 as well. Not sure if you have to, though.
I just ran the setup and it worked. To be safe, don't use your somputer while the upgrade is being done and make sure that your XDAII is fully charged.
Problem
Hello, I have the English XDA II, and when I tryied to install this rom it answered me back with a message: error 120, country code error.
does anyone have any Idea of what to do?
Hi,
That brand it has its pda?

hey folks, I just did the same as ranger did and now have a nice new wm2003se on my Irish xda ii as of 5 mins ago. looks pretty cool. cheers for that ranger. btw ranger, have you put all your O2 specific stuff back on? I see the text messages and all are working grand but what about gprs & O2 active etc? cheers m8
I don't use GPRS. Any internet related stuff I do while I'm docked in work. Got a nice fat 1MB line each way.
O2 Active Sync. I'm glad I got rid of it. It was awful. It was the one Internet 'App' that I could not get working over docked internet. It insisted on a GPRS connection to give O2 more money.
I suppose I should have recorded my GPRS settings before I flashed, but not to worry.
Thanks for that ranger, when u install it does it wipe out all your existing installed programs and data?
It wipes everything.
OS ROM, Extended ROM and updates the Radio stack.
There will be nothing left of the original software if you do the normal install. Then again, if you obtain certain tools from this website you may just be able to flash the OS ROM only.
I didn't bother as I didn't really care either way.
upgrade way back?
If after using your WM2003SE ROM I still wish to return to a regular O2 ROM:
Do you advise me to make an O2 ROM backup (something I should first learn), or can I re-install the regular O2 ROM (WM2003) from the o2source site without hickups?
I'm not sure
That I'm not sure about. There maybe topics somewhere here on the forum that might say if it's possible or not.
I haven't tried it myself but I may do in the future. There are some things I'm not happy about in WM2003SE but the pros far outway the cons.
My device can be very un-responsive at times
There are only 3 alarms rather than the 4 with the O2 source.
It probably wouldn't so any harm to back up your ROM beforehand, though.
WM2003SE Diamond 1.2 Succesfully installed
I tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=104422#104422
Very complete and it seems to have good support and outlook for next versions
XDA II O2 UK
PH10A Himalaya
ROM 2.06.00WWE 06/14/04
Radio 1.18.00
Protocol 1337.38
ExtROM Diamond 1.2se
Serial v0.26b

can you go back From WM2005 to windows 2003 ?

hi all newcomer here so be patient, have upgraded to wm 2005 but dont like can i go back to a windows 2003 rom that is not ORANGE bias :?:
Yes you can, but not not without any risk. When I went back to 2003SE, I had some problems with it. My PDA didn't work for almost a day before I find the solution. I am not sure that this is working for you, but it worked for me. I have done it with a new installed computer with only activesync 3.7 version on it.
Good luck

I upgraded from WinMobile 2003 to Windows Mobile 5 and found it nice but slow. I reversed the steps and went back to SIN's version of Windows 2003 SE available here on XDA-Developers. Frankly it is better than Mobile 5. Yes, there are the same landscape screen benefits, but man is it fast ... especially when you set Xscalar to FAST.
So instead of an expensive paperweight, I still have a beaut XDA with lots more speed and functionality. The SBP add-on for Windows Theme Generator works a treat ... so all around I am happy.

Is there any chance of WM6 for XDA ATOM..

I just bought O2 XDA atom and my previous phone was Imate jasjar universal..
I wanted to enquire that Will there be any upgrade for XDA atom cause the
O2 site says that there will be an upgrade for XDA atom LIFE.....
PLzz help me out..... Really needed to know that the fone i bought could be upgraded by any chance... Thanks...
The chance of getting an upgrade for the Atom is nil, the Atom is a very old phone now even though you can still buy it new, the Atom Life is brand new and so many people contacted O2 in regards to the Atom Life getting WM6, they had to do something, I could be wrong about this but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Also I wouldn't get to concerned, I went to WM6 on my Jasjar and my Jasjam and I went back to WM5 as I had a lot of software problems with third party software not functioning properly, I just used a skin in WisBar Advance to make it look the same because I couldn't stand the look of WM5 after having WM6.
Hope this helps, the Atoms a great phone, I just bought an Atom and then an Atom Exec and it is the best PPC Phone I have ever owned and I have had nearly all of them, I love how it it so small.
No doubt!!!
Hey no doubt....XDA atom doesn't hang... it has everything.. I just wanted a new look for the fone.. the live messenger in the fone and all those things..
as I was previously using JASJAR... the new utilities were quite handy..
Hey... One more thing..
Is there a way I can U can make a ROM for older O2... cause the rom for Life has released I can't use it..
Plzz helpt buddy... really need it
