I have the gullum prophet VIII rom
When I try to share the internet connection I have on my Dopod 818pro, I enable the internet sharing on the Dopod and click connect.
Once I click connect, windows vista discover a new device and need driver for it?? and cannot find any driver for it.
It mention a Generic RNDIS driver needed and hace following error:

Where to get the Generic RNDIS driver for my dopod?
FOr your information I have try enable and disable :
Enable advanced network functionality ( on Dopod )
Allow USB connection connection ( on WMDC 6.1 )
Please help me to solve the problem.

just try out on a XP machine and internet sharing connect suessfully.
Wondering y this cannot work on Vista machine.

u need wmdc sync centre for which u need to get genuine test file and i hope u use vista ultimate ,have you done all this and is your sync centre working fine ,and did you try other roms like gullum7 or wm5

yes, i have the WMDC ver. 6.1.
it is not the rom problems, but Vista Ultimate, coz it is asking for a new driver.
When connect to WinXP Pro, the driver is automatically installed.

I am trying to help a friend who is in another country to set up his newly acquired WM5 ver TyTn.
He has Vista, and already has tried to sync with the old Activesync 4.5 but Vista sees no connection to the device.
Does anyone here know if the new Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista would work with his WM5 phone?
I would be looking to upgrade it to WM6 when he next visits but not to keen on talking him through it remotely!
In the meantime if he had a solution to sync his phone it would be great.

WMDC is the replacement (or latest version fo Active sync).
Activesync is for XP and WMDC is for Vista.
To your question........I have not attempted a WM5 connection with WMDC...........but I believe it would work.

i have a o2 atom, but i can't connect internet using o2 usb modem,does anyone have some tutor to connect internet on my pc, i am using win xp sp2 than'x
O2 atom when connect to pc then insert O2 xda atom cd and O2 >setting>system>link>usb>actvate
then connect your O2 to PC
This is the usb driver for the atom exec,
go to panel config and replace the driver of the mobile device by this one and it's work perfectly
