-There are probably more small changes that I'm forgetting. I'll edit this post as they come to me.
-Sharkie405 for the base. See the stock ROM Change Logs for additional base ROM credits.
-dsixda for the kitchen.
-thicklizard for his Arc-Reactor kernel.
-Captain_Throwback for cooking advice.
-OMJ for his latest ROM that I used as my go to when I wasn't sure of the right way to do something.
-See the Change Logs for individual mod credit.
-I recommend doing a full/super wipe of some sort before your 1st flash of this ROM. Personally, I use Superwipe.
-You may wonder while the ROM is flashing, WTF is up with the terminal text being misaligned. Actually, it's not misaligned. I use a slightly modified version of TWRP 2.6.3 that, for some unknown reason, increases the font size in the terminal screen. It's bigger and easier to read. It's one that Captain_Throwback made. You can find this version in the 8th post of THIS thread. If you flash this ROM with Cap's version, it will all be perfectly centered like it should be. So, do me a favor and if you're not already using it, flash it and use it. It's better...
-ArcReactor v.44 kernel
-This ROM uses Arc-Reactor kernel v0.44 (max oc - 1.70) by thicklizard. This kernel includes sweep2xxxxxx features. If you've never used s2w, I highly advise you read that thread to familiarize yourself with that feature. Otherwise, your phone will be doing all types of crazy things and you won't know why.
If you want to change the sweep settings, go to /system/etc/init.d/00S2W and open it with a text editor. You will see this line:
echo '5' > /sys/android_touch/sweep2wake
You can change the '5' to whatever number gives you the sweep settings you want. '0' will turn them all off. You have to reboot to run the script again before your new settings will take effect. How do I know what sweep settings I want, you ask? This is why you need to read the 1st post of the Arc-Reactor thread. I plan on writing a script/s that will automatically change the settings, I just haven't gotten around to it yet cuz "5' is how I always keep it set. If I'm not mistaken, there are already scripts/apps that will change s2w settings or turn it on/off. I can't vouch for them though cuz I haven't used them.
Besides the fact that I think this kernel is bad ass, is the fact that ThickLizard is a great guy. He supports his work to the fullest and is always willing to help out anyone that has questions or problems. He represents what this should all be about and he knows his sh**.
This kernel runs great as is, in my opinion, but check out "Kernel Tuner" in the Play Store if you're interested in serious tweaking.-This ROM is built from the 3.16.651.3 OTA stock ROM at the bottom of this post (Sense 4+/JellyBean 4.1.1).
-ROM wipes data, system, cache and dalvik-cache.
-Posts to do with SharkieROM-LTE v2.5.1 start at post #325
- The 5x6 app drawer mod causes the icon text in 'add shortcuts to Home' to be cut off. It looks like that font size was never changed. I might look into it, but probably not. It's not at all a big deal to me.
- Let me know what you find...
Not all that important OP thoughts on this ROM...
This ROM is still basically a stock ROM with a few tweaks. If you were feeling my stock ROM then you'll probably enjoy this one as well. It's stable and fast, IMO. The only big tweak that I'd like to have and haven't quite figured out yet is EQS (Rosie landscape on/off and the Home Screen menu, primarily). The one in OMJ's mod pack causes settings and random sense widget force closes. Adding EQS is high on my to do list, but you gotta put it out at some point. There's always more to do.
There are a lot of apps in this ROM. It's got all the free apps that I like to have. It's my ROM after all. Be ready to remove some apps. I love not having to worry about space anymore with this phone and so I take full advantage of it.
I also only want to worry about 1 ROM. So I'm not going to make an odexed version. If you'd like an odexed version, use OMJ's tool to do so. IT'S SUPER EASY, trust me.
I also wanted to say thanks again to all those that support/supported my stock ROM. Since it's release it's had just shy of 2000 downloads total. I realize that's not a whole lot, but it was more than I ever expected a stock ROM to get, especially so late in the game. So THANK YOU.
Some v2.5 S-ON thoughts and my experience with S-ON flashing this ROM can be found HERE.

Sent from my kick ass EVO using Tapatalk 2

gonna need this for later.

What exactly are you guys confused about?
Is it because there is already a stock 3.16.651.36 ROM here at XDA? Yeah, I get that. Does that mean there can't be two? No. Maybe there's more than two. Who cares. There's room here for everyone's work. This is not kanged.
Is it because this is not a "custom" ROM? To make a "custom" ROM you need a base. A lot of people have used diestarbucks stock ROM as a base. I didn't want to do that. I wanted to start from scratch on my own. This stock ROM is not my end goal, it is just my base. But I used the tools and made it myself and to be honest, yes, I'm proud of that.
Is it because this ota was released a long time ago by phone standards? That's true, but I only got this phone a little over a month ago. So it's new to me and it's still the latest official update released.
Is it because the wallpaper says PPCGeeks? PPCGeeks has always been and always will be my "phone forum" home sweet home. Times are slow on that site these days so I figured I'd post this over here where more traffic is to see if I can get some more feedback. Plenty of ROMs are posted here with links to various other sites. I don't see the problem with that.
If you are genuinely confused about something, then say what it is. Otherwise, please refrain from cluttering this thread.

Re: [ROM] Stock 3.16.651.3 - Rooted
I think the more people that jump in , the better. Always good to see new people here. I don't use sense ever (about to give sense 5 a shot, though), but I think it's cool to see new people jumping in.

This ROM will be left as just a stock base. I don't plan on updating it at all unless someone points out a major bug.
I'm already working on my SharkieROM-LTE. I don't when I'll be at a point that I feel it's unique enough to post up as a custom ROM. I've still got a lot more learning to do. Thanks for stopping in

[ROM]6/19/12 freEVO 3D 2.41 (BatterySaver/SomeSense/Speed/CoreDuo/Hybrid[De]Odex)

Hi guys!
This is a placeholder for my debut into the Android ROM cooking world. If you've owned a Sprint Touch Pro2 and are familiar with my Bare Naked ROM series, then this is no different. I'm stripping as much away as I can, while still maintaining a functioning ROM.
ROM information:
Android Gingerbread 2.3.4
HTC Software 2.17.651.5
Rosie/HTC Launcher Removed
Sense Widgets Removed
Bloat Removed
Launcher Pro is the default launcher
Includes HTC Weather App and HTC Facebook integration.
Hybrid [De]Odexed
ZipAligned
Personalize menu removed
Browser debugging menu enabled
Browser tabs increased
Camera mod (panorama/hdr)
HTC Music mod (dolby)
MMS mod (secure box/backup/uncompressed mms)
4-in-1 Reboot menu
Unlocked HotSpot
Flashlight app included
Sprint Visual Voicemail Removed (App is below in "Apps & Add-ons")
AOSP Clock included
Other stuff I can't remember
Dalvik-VM set to 48MB
WiFi Scanning set to 180
HTC Software update server Removed
AOSP lock scren with a cool feature!
Most frequently updated Google apps have been removed. (since you can get them from the market)
--Maps,GMail,ETC
Busybox 1.19
Bash 4.1
Random scripts...
I've removed as much Sense as possible, BUT there is always room for improvement. I'm constantly discovering random apps that can be removed and plan to either update with patches to do so, or just post back with my findings.
Thanks (in no particular order. who says that?):
-Team Win, AlphaRev X, Unrevoked, CyanogenMod team, toastcfh, Shinzul, TrevE, netarchy, dsixda, zeppelinrox, ch33kybutt, Death-M0nk, cayniarb, flipzmode, LiquidSolstice, Mikedick, wildcatswr5, SteelH, kushdeck, Ihtfp69, Team Bamf, mwalt2, chad_goodman, JoelZ9614, Rydah805, Nutzy, hockeyfamily737, J.eremy, frosty_ice, Vinchenzop, YACO, dropzeroc, Team Nocturnal, smokin1337, gruesomewolf, and the entire XDA community especially the modders, themers, and the helpful members. If I forgot you, or you would like to be included in the thanks list just because, shoot me a PM.
Big thanks to testers:
Flak, aicfan71189, kellybrf, joehunni
To do:
-Rearrange or just plain remove homescreen icons on first boot
-Probably more, I forgot.
Known Issues:
-With Sense lockscreen removed, you are unable to answer calls until you unlock the screen. Your phone rings, but you don't see who's calling until you unlock. Prevents accidental dials. Kind of neat for privacy buffs.

freEVO 3D 2.4 Hybrid [De]Odex information. Please read.
Code:
2.4 marks a small shift in development. I'm now starting to include mods from other people/phones as an experiment to see if I can still maintain a stable ROM.
2.4 is different in that it utilizes my Hybrid [De]Odex method which combines the performance of an odexed ROM with the customization of a deodexed ROM. Current themes or flashable items are possible and can be compatible, provided that you understand a few things first:
-If you do decide to flash a theme, or another mod, keep in mind that by doing so, you:
--Must delete any .odex files to the apk/jar file that the mod you're flashing includes. For example if you are flashing LeeDroid Tweaks, you'd have to know which files it is installing by examining the zip first and then go through and remove the .odex files from your current system or it won't take effect.
--By doing this, you are slightly losing odex for every deodexed file you add.
-You'll also risk losing the modifications I've made to the frameworks to remove and disable logging/checkin services, and more. Remember, flashing any mod that wasn't ported over, or made by your ROM chef, may contain files that don't have their particular mods in them and will be overwriting their custom ROM version with a generic stock or differently modified file. That's why LeeDroid tweaks and beats by smokin1337 are slightly incompatible. They both include the same files, but modified differently. It's either working LeeDroid tweaks, or beats mod with some LeeDroid tweaks features not working.
It may sound difficult at first, but it's quite easy once you do it the first time and understand. On to the changes: It includes all of 2.3-2.3d fixes and was originally supposed to be 2.3e. However, the hybrid [de]odexed system warranted a increment increase :).

I was using Titanium to strip my phone ... I love the weather wallpaper on my lockscreen so I was tip-toeing around sense. Unfortunately I hit something that took the weather and the circle off of the lock. I was left with white boxes floating around and a white box where the circle went. I started trying to put stuff back, but then things locked up.
I'm a sad panda right now.
Plus, I remember your stuff from the touch pro 2! Yea!

Of course I didn't. I'm an optimist. LOL. I also never learn a lesson. Luckily, I love setting my phone up over and over. My husband hates it -- but it's my favorite. I've borked my phone so many times.
I just flashed viperboy's ROM that was cleaned up by Tilde88. I didn't wipe the data and it still booted fine and all is fixed.
Thanks for pointing out my dumb, though! LOL j/k!

Same with the white square and stuff, BUT I'm sure I have that figured out
Hmm well if this doesn't have Sense then what will it have? Is this supposed to be an AOSP rom? Haha this is confusing me! But I like the half a gig of RAM free though... I have about 400 megs on my rom I'm running atm.

Basically it is what is referred to as a "senseless" rom, or a "nonsense" rom. It will have the sense launcher (rosie) stripped, and pretty much every other aspect of sense, as the OP described. It will still be based off sense, so some things will be the same, but it will be running a different launcher, such as LP or ADW or Go Launcher or something. It should be a bit quicker with the extra RAM and lack of Rosie.

I thought for sure it had something to do with the HTC Sense Live Wallpaper. When I tried to re-install it with Titanium, it would just hand and never get installed.
I love a senseless ROM, but I sure do love that lockscreen ... just sayin'
I started out on the TP, then the TP2, and I certainly remember you from ppcgeeks. Looking forward to trying it out, man.

I already hit my thanks limit for today but I wanted to tell you thanks anyways! I see you around here all the time and you always know what's up. That explanation made perfect sense and now I feel like an idiot for not even thinking about that.
This should be interesting.

As it stands now, there are too many dependencies on Rosie and stuff I want to remove to succesfully be able to switch lockscreens, or even use the default lockscreen, SO what I will have to do is use the default gingerbread lockscreen. However, I will include flashable packages for those who want the core functionality of being able to change your lockscreen.
You definitely need Rosie installed as well as every single idlescreen apk (stock,weather,photo,base,shortcut) etc etc. It's a good 30+MB worth of garbage just to be able to change something as simple as that. I assume most will be fine with gingerbread's lockscreen and/or use a third-party app anyway.

This is a run I can actually use..let me know if you need help with what is crap

This is most likely the final release of this ROM, as MIUI is discontinuing builds for v4/ICS devices. I may release bugfixes or "addon" updates, but unless I can port from JB to ICS, this will be the end of updates from China. Please see my JB version of MIUI for the latest release.

Updated Kernel Tuner and UCCW to latest versions
2.4.13 (contains changes from 1.29.13):
Added Aroma installer. All "custom" options now install as designed.
Not sure if I mentioned it last week, but I updated the MIUIHome's default layout to take "Talk" out of that stupid "recommended" folder and just put it on the desktop. Also took and put "themes" and "settings" into the "tools" folder on the main page and changed the layout so that they're all in the same row. In the future, I plan on switching the MIUI search widget with the google one...just haven't gotten there yet.
Coolspace Deluxe theme is included by default, but not installed. Updated to 2.1 to fix various issues with missing app themes and framework-res 9pings being screwed. Installer will copy it to /SDCard, where you can then import it from Theme manager.
MIUI 2x4 Widget is included as an .apk...not 100pct if it will show up properly if UCCW has been installed before. Please test and let me know.
Moved Gmail, Maps, Kernel Tuner, Gamecenter, MiuiVideo, and Goo.im to the "optional" category as well, and set their install location to /data/app instead of /system/app to allow for removal if desired.
Wipe menu - for future use, you can choose to leave data sections untouched and do a dirty flash.
Added 9S weather, 2 different FLV players, TrevE's wifi tether app, Playstation certification, and Online Nandroid backup app as optional installs (in addition to others mentioned).
Updated to 3.3 MAC kernel.
Fixed boot animation sometimes causes OOM issues due to size by deleting half the frames used.
Modified goo setting in build.prop to hopefully fix the issue where it always shows an old update in current.
Attempted MMS fix for Virgin users may/may not work - will be fixed "fo sho" next week.

CMBaughman, Agrabren, Team Nega for the aroma-installer I used as a guide, Blind, Scott from MIUI.us, Valdesr11, all of team MIUI.us, MiuiAndroid, MiuiAustralia, Xiaomi, the folks at goo.im and dev-host for providing us a free way to distribute our work, freeza, viperboy, il duce, vanessam, and all the staff at XDA for helping make this such a great community...all the people who's work I've borrowed code, images, or even inspiration from - if credit is omitted, it is not deliberate or intentional. Anybody else I missed. You guys rock.
How to report a bug the right way
Allright...
Been getting a lot of bug reports lately, and the vast majority of them don't have any kind of system information included whatsoever. People just blurt out stuff like "Camera ain't workin'", and expect me to go "Oooooooh. Your camera don't work. Please, allow me to customize you a script to fix it based on that thorough explanation of the issues."
To be fair, there are some issues that may be simple to replicate and don't require a lot of information to track down. Stuff like "This program is missing" or "the cap button backlights misbehave from time to time".
For all the other stuff...there is a right way and a wrong way to ask for help.
The wrong way involves complaining about the issue while providing as little info as possible. Degrading the ROM itself is a nice touch. You know, like "This POS won't boot."
That, my friends, will get you one reply...which will be me telling you you'd probably be better off using a ROM that doesn't require common sense to run.
The RIGHT way to ask for help involves the following:
1. Provide as much information about your system as possible. This includes, but is not limited to, the following pieces of information:
a. What Hboot version you are using.
b. Your S-off status.
c. What recovery you're using.
d. What firmware you're using.
e. A detailed description of the issue. When it happens, the frequency, anything that you do that causes it to happen...tell me what I need to do to make it happen on my phone.
Additionally, for issues related to hardware (camera, data, screen, wifi) - and hell, for any issue, it is more often than not a good idea to include a logcat.
A logcat is like a system log...it runs as soon as your phone starts up, and it tells me when something goes wrong so I can try to figure out why. A logcat will make the difference between me yelling at you, and me being very grateful for your thoughtful and well-constructed request for assistance.
Now, for some odd reason, it seems that every time I ask someone for a logcat, they make a face like this at me, , and then vanish off the face of the planet.
Contrary to what you may think...bugs bother me. A lot. The majority of nights end with me lying in bed thinking about the first thing I'm going to attempt to fix tomorrow.
SO, when you post saying something doesn't work, and then I say "get me a logcat, please", and you switch to a Sense ROM and don't look back...it helps nobody.
With all that said...below is a link to some very simple instructions for how to install Android SDK and do a logcat. It's pretty damned simple. If you can follow instructions for flashing a ROM, then you should be able to do this.
http://www.shahz.net/android/adb-installation-and-how-to-logcat.html
If THAT is too daunting for you, then the next step would be to get Alogcat from the market.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jtb.alogcat&hl=en
Alogcat is even easier. Something crappy happens...you open alogcat, save the output, and send it to me.
Can we do that? Please? I'm so tired of asking for a logcat around every turn. Help me help you.
Cool, thanks! I'm DL'ing now. Quick question: What is the default kernel for this rom? I plan on flashing Chad's, but was just curious. Also, I have a feature suggestion: for the default MIUI launcher, would there be any way to add a 5th row? I know there was a mod on XDA for this a while back, but it became incompatible months ago.
Anyway, thanks for the hard work. I'm especially excited to try out the VC control script on this, that was a great idea.
Edit: Nice boot animation!
Well then. Here we go. Fire up boot manager!

The default kernel is still Tiamat. I haven't checked to see which it is right now, but I will throw in one that supports the higher OC in a future release.
I can also check on the 5th row bit for default MIUI launcher.
Thank you for your help DH,
Please don't forget to add the date in the title so it makes it easier for us to know when updates are posted.
Thanks.

Duly noted.
so this is 2.3.23 as it says. Does that mean its miui ics? and your camera works??? i already downloaded for bootmanager
Looking into the layout for the default launcher, you can change rows/columns in the launcher settings. Rom has been stable so far, runs pretty smooth.
Edit: If anyone's performance is laggy, I noticed that the default awake governor was set to conservative. When I moved to ondemand, the rom became much more smooth.

I believe that it's still the Gingerbread base, but with some ICS features baked in. I'll be updating the OP eventually here with images, the official changelog, as well as everything I've done.

Yes, sorry, that was the last change I made last night before compiling. I had it set to intellianthrax, which caused the issue I described in the OP.

That will definitely help catch people's attention.
Either way I will be trying this rom out the moment I get home from work/school.

I stand corrected. The changelog I looked at showed the features for both builds, I just wasn't paying attention.
Sorry for the confusion.
I'm just curious - has anybody had a chance to try bluetooth yet??

Didn't try bluetooth, but I noticed initial setup when signing into your google account FC's.
the only problem I've seen yet, is widget sizing. My Widgets aren't showing correctly, they usually stretch to the edge of the homescreen. Now however, they are shrunk a little. I think its a qHD bug?

Hey Everyone, and welcome to my "first" android custom rom!! I have developed in the past for the Tmobile Wing and HTC Touch Pro 2 (Windows Mobile) but this is my first attempt at modifying android.
Now, don't get the impression that this is some incomplete test at rom building, because it is not! It is a fully functional release with my favorite mods, memory tweaks for improved multi-tasking, great speed, stability, and battery life!
Rejuvenated Stock Now Comes With AROMA Installer, giving an infinite amount of customization options!! If you have any ideas or apps/features that you want to see added, please do not hesitate to tell me!
If you guys appreciate my hard work, don't hesitate to donate! It's what keeps devs motivated. I am a full time student and am doing this for fun in my spare time!!
~~~CREDITS~~~
First off, I would like to thank my donators! It really does mean alot!!
HAUS for his stock rooted rom which I used for a base
Ammarullz for AROMA and Leedroid for the aroma I based mine off of.
Looks great. Downloading right now. My name is Shaun and I am an addict!!!!
Right on. Will DL soon. Sounds great and like a lot of thought and time went into it.
You mentioned revert zips. The only thing I could possibly see not liking would be landscape Rosie. If time allows, could you share how to make it portrait only (without turning off auto-rotate lol )
Well, I f I can be of any help please let me know. Just ignore the stupid comments I make at times.
So far with HTC ROMs I know just enough to get myself in to trouble. Nothing like making ROMs for my tablet. :good:
Glad youre using my base! I may have a solution to fix the issue. Will update my thread if it works!
i used wiper and corresponding bins and libs from the one s since they were virtually identical when i compared them
maybe not an ideal workaround, but better (imo) then deleting it like i was gonna do
ROM installed with no issues with the noted exception of the data being turned off.
I tried the FM app and while it opened it didn't connect to any thing to produce music. It just searched and did nothing else. Looks like something else will need to be done to get FM working assuming it's in the chip (I haven't checked on this myself so it could be just because of the chip type) and has the necessary connection to actually work.
Friend Stream is working perfectly.
I'll keep looking around but so far this is working great.
Do you want a list of other things to remove?
OK.
Items to remove in my opinion:
VZ Navigator
Tune In Radio
Visual Voice Mail
I'm getting a crash when I try to go to settings/developer options. The error I get is "Unfortunately, the process com.android.settings has stopped".
Here is the link for the pastebin of my logcat: http://pastebin.com/eSyEGsVa
Apps are not showing in HTC hub for me. Not sure if that is included in your skins not showing up comment.
No Wiper error so far.
In the Play Store there is no longer a link to get to my apps or settings. Might this be because of the removal of the 3 dot menu? I checked the recent app button to see if that was the menu and it still brought up recent apps. Edit: An adb push of synaptics-rmi-touchscreen.kl from 3remapbasic gets this taken care of.
v1.1
You must be on the latest firmware (4.03.605.2) to use this ROM. There are several ways to go about doing this but I suggest installing the RUU. If you have already upgraded, flash away my friend.
S-off Installation
Install the RUU, install a custom recovery, flash the ROM.
S-on Installation
Lock the bootloader, install the RUU, unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery, flash the ROM, flash the s-on kernel. (If you have been debating on going s-off, now is the time to do so. Do that before installing the 4.03 RUU)
Not really a bug but I forgot to change the about phone info to refect v1.1. Just disregard that. You can confirm your version by looking at the dialer. If the back ground it different than the screenshots, you have v1.1. Also can look at MMS convo bubbles. Sense 4 = v1.1.
Q: How do I install this?
A: You must be either s-off or s-on with unlocked bootloader, have a custom recovery, and be on the global firmware to install and use this rom. If you don't know what this means, take advantage of the handy search feature that xda has provided. There are numerous useful threads out there for the Rezound. Basic installation instructions are provided at the top of the OP for s-off and s-on.
Q: Can I dirty flash this rom?
A: If you are coming from another rom then a full wipe is recommended. If you chose to dirty flash and have problems, please don't post your issue. Do a full wipe and reflash the rom. If you continue to have an issue, you can proceed to ask for advice.
Q: Why did you make this rom when we already have several others?
A: My goal with this project was to make a rom set up the way I like it with the mods and tweaks I find the most useful. I believe the masses will agree with my decisions. In conjunction, my intent was to focus on battery life as it pertains to my phone. I am not making any claims that this rom provides better battery life than anything else available. Every phone reacts different to every rom so you will need to test and find what works best for you.
Q: Why did you remove X, Y and Z?
A: X, Y and Z were removed because they are features only used by a few people and there is no need to include it for everyone else. In accommodation for the few people that use X, Y and Z, I have posted Add-ons that will add back features removed on a case by case basis. These can be found in post 4. In addition, you can check the Mods section in post 4 for additional revert files and mods. If a feature was removed that you use and it is not available in post 4, post your request and I will provide a flashable file for you.
Q: Can you explain what was changed with the auto brightness settings?
A: HTC has provided very moderate default auto brightness values. While this is good in high light situations, it is not needed in low light situations and increases the battery consumption. The big beautiful screen on the Rezound is very nice to look at, but it sacrifices battery life to accommodate it. I have reduced the brightness level of the screen over most of the range of ambient light values. The percent change varies for each level but it ranges from a reduction of 4.5% all the way to 66.7%. I'm still searching for those 'magically' values but what I have got so far seems to work very well for the typical lighting conditions the phone will see on a daily bases.
Q: Why aren't my buttons lighting up, did you break my phone?
A: I have turned the capactive button backlights off when using auto brightness unless the lowest state is being used. Since you can see buttons without the lights on there is no need for it and its just wasting battery. However, I have set it up to turn on when the phone is at it's lowest brightness state. This way they can be seen in the dark. The brightness of the backlights have also been reduced when they are on. If you want them off all the time, there are apps in the Play Store that can do this for you. One such app is rootdim.
Q: Your feature list says 'Better HTC Percent Battery.' What does this mean?
A: Every rom that I have used for the Rezound that includes the stock looking percent battery all use the same old icons from older phones. These icons are smaller as they were for hdpi devices. Also the text is small and hard to read. The old icons are either placed in the hdpi folder and the phone resizes them to fit xhdpi or they are enlarged before hand. Either way, this results in a somewhat blurry image. So what I have done is created all new icons that use true xhdpi battery images. I have increased the height of the battery slightly and used a larger font size so the percent is easier to see. In addition, I used the Roboto font since it's what comes with the rom. If you are a themer, modder, dev and want to use my new battery for you work, please don't kang. Ask and you shall receive and give credit where credit is due.
Q: How can I get wifi tethering to work?
A: I have removed the VZW hotspot feature and included WiFi Tether for Root Users. Open the app and hit menu > settings. Change the Device-Profile to HTC Rezound (LTE/CDMA/GSM). Change the Setup-Method to Netd (master). Scroll down and find Routing fix and enable it (box checked). You can also setup WiFi-Encryption if you prefer. If you happen to pay for Mobile Hotspot through Verizon, there is an add-on that will give that back to you. It will also add the hot spot quick setting.
How do I get that clock widget in your screenshots?
A: What you see is my Sense 4 Clock widget. Go to the widgets list and look for Sense 4 Clock. The version included in the rom is v4.2 for Sense 3.x launchers. It is not a "Sense" widget so it does not use the weather info obtained by the HTC weather app. It uses Google for the source. More info about the widget as well as themes can be found in my thread here.
Q: I don't see the beats notification when I use my Play Store app, how do I know it's on?
A: The Beats notification is an apk that is triggered/enabled for the native HTC music player only. Therefore, you will only see the notification when use that player; however that doesn't mean its not working. There just isn't a persistent notification telling you its on.
Does <insert name>'s mod work with this rom?
A: This depends on the mod. Keep in mind this is an odex rom and damn near all mods posted are deodex. However, this does not necessarily mean it won't work as you can use deodex mods on odex roms if you do an extra step. If the mod is made for an older update (pre-global) or changes certain files like framework-res.apk, com.htc.resource.apk or SystemUI.apk it will break the features of the rom and/or cause boot loops. Please post your questions and a link to it if you want to use a mod by someone.
Q: Why wasn't the Facebook app updated?
A: Let's face it. The Facebook app sucks and seems to get worse with every update. There are some pretty fun reviews in the Play Store if you want a good laugh. Unfortunately you have to have it for Facebook for Sense to work. I have found adding the latest version in the rom, causes an issue where Facebook fails to authorize after each reboot. This causes your contacts not to sync until you sign in again. If I leave the older version in, then update the app with the latest build after the fact, this issue is gone.
Q: Why is the App Associations still in settings?
A: HTC is continually fine tuning, if you will, the app associations due to crApple's lawsuit. The global update received a more recent version, From what I can tell based on the changes made to Settings, the newer version has items related to YouTube in it although if you look in the Settings on the phone you won't see it mentioned. Also, included with the other changes is how the Settings entry is handled. Prior, the build.prop edit would remove it from Settings and fix the links. The edit still fixes the links, but it no longer removes it from Settings. I spent a good 4 hours trying to track down an edit that would remove it from Settings but my attempts all ended in force closes.
This is the flashable kernel for S-on users. It is a modified version of the stock kernel that comes with the global RUU. The modifications allow for a couple of the rom's features. Flash this file in RECOVERY. Do not rename it to PH.. and try to install via bootloader. The PH file will be automatically placed on your sdcard and your phone will reboot to hboot for you. Enjoy guys. This has been about 2-3 weeks in the making. Started with making a themed version of the ota then the global update hit and had to start all over. With that said, you can expect a themed version in the near future. If you have previously owned a thunderbolt you might have seen the theme but it was the stock look of a rom port. I made the theme for personal use on every rom I ran on the thunderbolt but I never released it.
Wellll you've convinced me to soff the new rezound and go global. It looks as though you've been extremely thorough with this, hopefully I'll be running this tomorrow.
Left it out on purpose. There are numerous ad blocking apps on the market. Adding host files to the rom negatively impacts some people and its easier for those that want them to get an app than to remove them. But I understand where you are coming from.
Looks like what I've been waiting for in a rom. Is the dialer themed while in a call as well or just when you dial? Also, is there a mod to make the app drawer text normal size for us older crack flashers? If not, that's cool. This is really a highly polished rom that you should be proud of. Thanks
