Alright guys, the play store spits this error at me constantly. It happens when i download apps from the play store. It says "Error retrieving information from the server [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]". Just to clarify, things I've already tried: wiping data of play store and play service frameworks, wiping dalvik and cache, deleting my host file and readding my Google account. I've added another account and it downloaded apps flawllessly so it must be my main google account. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same issue, and tried every trick in the book, even wiping completely etc. I have the issue on both my gnex an n7.
Seems like this issue goes back to 2012 so dont hold you breath.

Working like a charm on my HTC Desire X (Android 4.1.1).. But on my N7 it all started a few days back.. Getting the same error.. I think its not in a specific region.. Somethings wrong with their service or Google Play server.. Wish it gets resolved soon... hope for the best :good:

Hi all,
I've been flashing a lil' during the last day. Until then no problem BUT, from this morning, I can't reach the market any more. I've installed several 2.1 and even went back to MCR 3.2, but no way. The installation is ok, I've wiped all, even partitioned the SD (and performed a repair stuff). My account's syncing ok, but everytime I launch the market, I have a server error. 3G or WiFi, nothing.
Plesae help, I can't download anything...I'm lost.
I'm french and have and suscribed over Virgin.

Same here. Flashed Chpoubs 4.2 Slide port yesterday, everything was working fine.
And since this morning I can open the market, see the 15 apps on the welcome page, but I can not search an app or check the updates (server connection error).
I tried restoring a Kimera 1.8 backup but to no avail I got the same connection error.
I am in France and my carrier is SFR. Hope my phone has not been "blacklisted" or something like that ?

Do a factory reset from the settings menu and make sure you sync your Google account on first set up. I've had this issue before and this has resolved it.

Nope, didn't work, still the same error message...
I wiped again, waited until google sync was over, opened the market, accepted the rules, and then got the error message... i'm stuck.
Same for me. Can't access the market.

Hi All,
I have a Tablet S running honeycomb 3.2.1 update, stock rom. I've associated my google account and while some apps will install/update via google play - many will not. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to root/whatever like I normally would with a device I own myself (this is a work unit).
I've tried clearing market/download data/cache many times, reboot many times. Even gave up for a week and came back to it - same deal.
Can anyone shed some light on why this thing is being so difficult??!!?
FYI ICS update not avail for me yet.

I had the same issue. Had to wait for the market to to updated for it to start working again.
Market is currently on latest version, no good. I can uninstall updates back to "android market" but that doesn't work either.
Google talk is all signed in and fine - that's not the problem as I can download *some* apps. If signin weren't working nothing would d/l.

So you are not able to root this tablet because your boss have given you a device to work with or was it a gift and now you can keep the tab ?.
If som i should not wait any longer to root this tab, and install the inverted app from condi's AiO tool, this will reïnstall the play app, and probaly also the bug,
Even if its a work device, you could simply follow all the steps with rescue-backdoor etc in HC and then automaticly download ICS (UK) version,
Once you downloaded the ICS update you could simply get the unrooted version again by installing without following the steps for prerooting the signed zip.
on a later point, everyone will get ICS on their tabs, so no-one will notice right,?

Still haven't found a solution to the market, but I don't need it as much now. Was trying to get some wmv files working in something other than stock video player and market was being a pain not downloading things. Ended up getting mxplayer installed and just gave up on market and transcoded all the movie files. Not the best solution, but it works.

Allright that says enough xD but then like Cat McGowan said, if you work at such a company why wouldn't you send it back by your self?. from what i understand you are working at a company thats regonized as a sony dealer am i right?, because your problem is a system thing, nothing that you can do about it, ( On a normal way )
It's surely just a software thing though, seems pointless sending it back for that. I did get my other video issue sorted so I don't really *need* market any more, and it got announced today that we should get ICS tomorrow (short notice, huh?!).

Yép that will probaly fix your problem and after you installed ICS try to do a factory reset this is recommend so your old settings are clean again. Cache etc.

I had similar problem after updating from gingerbread to ice. After trying all tweaks nothing worked. Flashed again and nothing happened
However, disabling download from unknown source solved the problem.
My advice would be that when flashing a new rom without using external ed card, remove it before flashing. After flashing, disable download from unknown source. Try going to google play and update or download something. Once it worked, restart your phone and you can enable download from unknown source back.
I tried this twice and saw that it worked perfectly.

Okay let me explain what i believed happen here first... I rooted my L9 with "Kingo Android Root". Everything was working great. I decided to remove all the bloatware on my phone (MetroPCS apps, Google apps, etc). Still good. I then noticed that i was no longer able to access my Play Store or log into my YouTube account. A friend of mine ([email protected]$$) recommended i hard reset the phone and it will Unroot me and i can start all over... So i did. Now when i try to access my phone and go threw the LGSetupWizard i get this error; "LGSetupWizard has Stopped responding". i cant get pass it. i tried almost everything on the net that i can find. still nothing i was wonder if anyone or everyone can give me different ways of fixing this issue, so i can go threw them one by one. i will let you all know if it worked or not. please and thank you.

i have no idea what to tell you but if it come down to it you might have to flash a rom on your phone using lg support tool.. but before you do anything make sure your usb debugging is on your phone might be done like mine :crying:

Play Store is part of google apps
you delete all google apps , and you remove play store
so... btw why you want to remove GAPPS
people that wipe they phones and install custom ROMS , they install GAPPS afterwards
bloatware like metro own crap and tmobile are fine to remove
but why you want to erase the google apps
????

How can you use you Google android phone when you uninstalled Google apps. Your gmail login is used for YouTube too and guess what....you removed your ability to log into your phone.

Like i said before, i can get passed the LGSetupWizard so im unable to to access settings to turn on USB Debugging. its practically bricked at this point.

It wasnt done intentionally. goofed up and now im stuck. is there anything that can be done at this point or should i simply take this phone out to the range and put a few holes in it?

Mine is bricked too .
I have had that problem befor, but I just did a system restore and it fixed the problem. But even know you can get pass that error, that file is used for many different settings.

All of a sudden my dad's phone is behaving weird. I am not able to access the playstore and gmail. First of all the playstore was asking for a google account to be associated. And when I tapped on add it crashed. I went to the settings->Accounts and sync->add account and there was no google account option. I'm not an android user so I'm unsure if I remember this right but there should be google account option to be added. I tried to hard reset the phone but it does not seem to work. I mean it is not getting formatted fully as I still see the superuser. Btw I had rooted this device but I can't remember with which method. As I said earlier I'm not an android user so I'm not much into it. Dad came to me with this problem and I'm still trying to figure it out how do I get it sorted. Please if anyone can help me with this I would be grateful.

It's likely that your Gapps are corrupted in some way, you'll need to find Gapps that work for your device and you should be all good.

Already brought Rom GQ3056MF1_HCS986A_Ulefone_20180111_V26
But when I called, it started to give error "Google Play Store stopped working". At a great cost I was able to install Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Touchpal Keyboard ... But none of these applications works, being in an infinite loop where all applications stop working ...
I searched the Internet for solutions but did not find anything that resulted ... Clear the Cache and Data, reinstall the applications, even do a Factory Reset ... Nothing resulted ...
I found a solution, which consisted of a Rom of the previous version, GQ3056MF1_HCS986A_Ulefone_20171229_V25 . However this is an unofficial Rom, and although the applications work fine, but the phone is too slow.
I would like to know if this is an error in Rom version GQ3056MF1_HCS986A_Ulefone_20180111_V26 that will be fixed in some update, or if it is a failure to install Rom on this phone.
How can I solve this problem, and where can I find an Official Rom?
