[Q] Text To speech on selected text - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I wonder if there is ability to replicate this feature from iOS :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
In iOS you can turn on Accessibility function that add the "Speak" button to the "selection menu". And if you click, it would turn on Text To Speech engine and read selected text. Can I do the same thing in Android ?
Thank you very much.
PS: I assume that regular app could not modify "copy, paste, cut menu" so I probably need custom ROM. (I'm particularly interested Nexus 7 2013 solution, but I assume that solution should be universal because it is just modification to the "Selection menu" and add button)

I asked the same question here:
http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/52829/text-to-speech-feature-on-selected-text
And god decent answer Enjoy.

Magician T9 input hack?

Hey, I saw this in MSmobiles, and I was wondering if the cab file, or the hack can be posted here, looks like the perfect solution, seamless integration with the dialer

I know there is Phone Plus, FingerClix and others (I was beta tester for those two). but the Feature in the Magician, looks like is seamlessly integrated to the dialer, kind of what the Smartphone has in its dialer, So I was wondering if someone can post the CAB file, or if can be hacked/adapted to our MDAII
here is part of it. Look for the rest to be added later...

Its an accessabilty setting
Its for deaf people i think, try checking that menu in your settings
It's hearing aid compatibility. The setting should be under call settings, in the settings menu obviously.
It is as @gamer649 and @Envious_Data suggest. Under call Settings is an option for 'Hearing aids', you get that type of icon when option for this is ticked. The icon is basically telling you that hard of hearing option of some sort is selected.
Check this post later, if you have other icons that you donĀ“t now what they do or are. http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Unidentified-icon-on-status-bar/td-p/424605
Thanks guys

In your phone, go to /system/csc folder and open feature.xml and add this line anywhere after <FeatureSet> and before </FeatureSet>
Code:
<CscFeature_Contact_EnableCallButtonInList>[COLOR="Red"]TRUE[/COLOR]</CscFeature_Contact_EnableCallButtonInList>
If you already had that line, just change FALSE to TRUE
Reboot the phone and enjoy this new feature:good:
Thank you! It workls like a charm on S5 Ploiki Rom

Question Win 11 Right Click Headway?

Anyone make any headway attempting to rever win 11 right click to win 10 style?
https://appuals.com/disable-show-more-options-windows-11/
This is the best method I have found however it will disable start menu/search (third party start menus will work and same with their integrated searches) any solution where start and search end up working? The reason search is important is win 11 seems to have a better search implementation which may be useful to have.
Shell disables the use of the modern context menu with another that can customize its appearance, add more items, delete or modify.
