[Q] Proximity and Light Sensor ?! .. - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, I have a Galaxy SII with Apolo Regular Kernel v4.14 running on NeatRom v6.3.
My problem is, that my Proximity and Light sensor doesn't work.
In-call the screen won't turn of only if I turn it off with the power button, which is annoying.
I've alreadz tried to fix it with signed_cm10_proxfix_update.zip which worked for a while, but not anymore.
When I enter the "secret code" (*#0*#), go to sensor at the Proximity Sensor there is no value, at the Light Sensor, when I try to open the Light Sensor it crashes.
I have no idea what happened.
Somebody could help me ? :crying:

Xperia Ray - Proximity sensor

Hi all,
I have a couple of issues with the my proximity sensor:
1) When I put my Ray to sleep mode, sometimes the screen doesn't turn back on, it stays black until I give it 5-10 seconds before it can be turned back on with the Power/Home button
2) This issue is related to Jelly Dream rom only, most of the times, it feels as though the proximity sensor is always ON because when I hover my finger over the proximity sensor, the screen dims and as soon as I move my finger away from the sensor, the screen goes back to normal brightness level
Help will be appreciated

Can't help you about first question, but about the second one - if the light dims when you move your finger close the place where the sensors are this is completely normal (light and proximity sensor are close to one another so you're probably blocking the light sensor and thus causing the phone the turn the brightness down).

[Q] Zte Open C Proximity Sensor problem

Hello I bought this phone last week and I realized that there are problems with the proximity sensor. When I make a call the screen does not turn off the phone closer to my face. And after it goes out to set time off to end the phone call must again press the power button.
I tried also with Android rom 4.4.2 and the probleme is the same.
If I go into test mode by typing the dialer *983*0# there is no way to test the proximity sensor, accelerometer sensor only
Have you encountered this problem ? or phone does not have the proximity sensor

I use this on my DNA to fix the proximity sensor. After you open it, move both sliders to 100, then check the 'set on boot' box. Works great!

MoroKernel Proximity Sensor

I'm using MoroKernel and I have a problem with proximity sensor. Whenever I make a call and cover the screen, it goes black normally but when I uncover the screen, it won't just light up. Anyone else having this issue? When I'm on Boeffla or AGNi I don't have this issue.

Sensors not working after replacing the battery

Hi,
after replacing the battery of my SGS6 Edge some sensors are not working.
1. Light sensor is not working when the brightness is set to automatic
2. Gyroscope sensor is not working when screen rotates
maybe other sensors are not working properly too.
I already tried to restart the phone but there is no effect.
On the hidden service menu the the light all sensors seems to work.
The light sensor is working 100% - when I cover it, it shows "0 lux"
The Gyroscope Sensor is working too, but what does the "OIS GYRO" mean? The value on X and Y does not change.
It's my business phone with a lot of data and apps. Thats the reason why I still don't try a hard reset.
Is there a solution whithout resetting the phone?
EDIT: Gyroscope seems to work... strange. But light sensor is still not working. Brightness does not change.
i've similar issue with mine, but I don't know if battery was changed before was given to me, I tried many roms nougat and marshmallow based, but the problem persist. with automatic brightness on, if I scroll the bar, it doesn't change anithing, I've to disable the automatism
