Redmi 3 Pro, first impressions: closing background apps, handsfree BT disconnecting - Xiaomi Redmi 3 Questions & Answers

I had a Mi4i for a year. It is a great piece of hardware, much better than all my previous phones (3 sonys, 2 samsungs, 1 motorola). When CM came, it got overall good, nut just hardware.
I mean MIUI has some nice features, like permissions etc, but also there are huge flaws. Read on...
So I have for a Redmi 3 Pro for a week now...
The good:
Unlocked bootloader.
Build quality is superb. Screen is good (720p is perfect), overall feel is good as well. Battery holds 2-3 days easily.
Fingerprint reader works fine and quickly (under 1sec.), but you have to place your finger "correctly" and have no skin issues. Camera is not too bad but not as good as Mi4i.
Also it is very responsive and quick, much better than Mi4i and all other phones I had. Even when preloaded with many apps.
Backup/restore function works beautifully. Just fully set up your device and do a backup from MIUI menu. Then you can wipe it and load different (stock) ROM version, or rooted xiaomi.eu dev version. All apps are restored quickly and work well.
Mobile signature works well on both SIM cards. Which is great, as not all phones managed that. *cough* Samsung S4 mini duo *cough*.
The bad, same as Mi4i:
1. bluetooth earpiece will lose connection when talking. It drops connection or heavily distorts the audio randomly. But youtube audio plays well on earpiece. Probably something to do with sleep?
Also problems keeping connection to Pebble watch: notifications do not come randomly, sometimes it gets unlinked an is quite a task to get linked again.
2. Apps get closed in the background randomly. Skype, Viber, Hangouts, Whatsapp, email, Pebble, and even calendar... You just stop getting notifications. Extremely annoying when WhatsApp Web stops working every 15 minutes on your PC due to lost connection to your mobile.
I have investigated this further: allowed these apps to autostart, locked them in recents drawer, disabled memory optimizations in performance menu, etc. It improved a little, but still remains an issue.
3. Widgets crash randomly and after restart. For example non-stock clock widget and calendar widget. They just stop updating after an hour or so, also after restart. After another restart they completely disappear.
So all of these issues seem to be connected to some kind of power management issue perhaps? Is there a fix available?
On Mi4i, i have never found a fix and could not use bluetooth handsfree earpiece until CM support was added. On CM13 it works just fine, so definitely not a hardware issue.

Scared from MIUI's PM A clean Android supporting fingerprint scanner would unlock the phone's potential greatly.
I hope in CM12/13 with Pro features support soon.

2. On dev rom you can change Memory optimization settings from Developer options. If you lock app by pulling down from Recents it should not get easily closed.

Yes, I have tried that and still had problems.
Anyone had any success solving bluetooth issues? BT worked perfectly with CM on same device. Maybe it is possible to swap out some drivers?

[DISCUSSION] Problems and issues with Nougat on A3 2016

I have decided to give the Nougat for A3 2016 (A310F) another (and another) chance before returning to Marshmallow but I've had some issues - please let me know do you experience similar problems (Nougat only!).
I've upgraded to Nougat by flashing via Odin DBT code package and went from XEO Marshmallow which did not have any of the described problems.
Was running: Android 7.0, Baseband: A310FXXU3CQE7, Build: NRD90M.A310FXXU3CQE6, Kernel: 3.10.61-11350514
To confirm the below I've reflashed back to 6.0 and flashed 7.0 again (same XEO for 6.0 and same DBT for 7.0) also did factory reset and also added wipe data/cache to the test procedure which helped in couple of cases.
Issues I found with 7.0 so far:
By design:
1. Too small UI elements:
Very small single-line notification slider containing the buttons like enable/disable wi-fi, etc. Previously on Marshmallow and Lollipop it was big enough to handle it without problems. Now (thanks to DreamUX?) it is too small (it is much better on my wife's A510F after Nougat upgrade as the buttons can be way easier pressed without accidentally pressing the button to the left or to the right). This one is quite annoying but probably just because the DreamUX (or whatever it is called) has been designed with "bigger phones" in mind...
2. Flawed Power Saving:
There is absolutely no setting in the OS to set the list of apps that I want to run only in foreground and when entering background should be put to sleep (there is such setting in Marshmallow and I used it to have control over the battery life). This causes the battery life on Nougat to be quite disappointing.
FIX: Flash TWRP (see the TWRP thread for details), did wipe of everything possible. Flash back official 7.0. Currently with normal usage - taken from charger at 06:00 currently 15:40 - battery level decreased from 100% to 88% (previously 8-9 hours on battery after full charge only) I susspect that this may be connected with the software I had installed in the past and some leftovers. So installing 7.0 in cleanest possible way did the trick here.
3. Slow battery charge:
Battery is charging quite slow (location off + wifi off + 3g on + phone not being used (periodically reviewing only the status of charging). Full charge from 30-40% to 100% in c/a 4 hours. Tested wipe data/cache - did not help.
All the time:
1. Crashing Samsung Keyboard (if other used):
When used any other keyboard (tested on Swype and Hacker's Keyboard) from Google Play - everything works fine until I click (be it by accident or intentionally) the emoticon icon (near the send button) while either writing a text message or using any other app where this button is available. The result is Samsung Keyboard (?!) crashing (which is odd as another keyboard is being used at the moment) - after the crash no keyboard is available until selected from the settings General Management\Language and input\Default Keyboard
FIX: Do the wipe of data and cache.
2. VPN not working:
VPN does not work (any attempt to establish PPTP connection fails with the built-in software). Tested wipe data/cache - did not help.
Fixed itself after some time... Now it's working. Either magic or this cannot be tested straight after setting up the OS...
3. Battery drain / decreased life on battery:
Nougat is consuming far more battery than Marshmallow (20% of battery taken in one hour while driving to work (one hour) browsing the web and listening to music compared to 6-8% with Marshmallow). Tests made after wipe of data/cache.
Often:
1. Stuck "Call" button in UI:
Inability to click "Call" button from the contacts if often calling several contacts (UI seems to lock for 5-15 seconds). To reproduce: Go to the phone app - select contacts, then tap on any contact name (not a picture) - four buttones called "call, message, video call and details" will slide - try tapping "call". Repeat calling several contacts - the UI hangs for couple of seconds making clicking "Call" impossible (home button however works)
WORKAROUND: Swipe finger on the contact to the right of the contact or recently dialled number to start dialling (this always works and does not trigge this bug).
Quite often:
1. Mysterious "installations":
Every couple of hours a notification pops-up that something is downloaded but there it is too quick to notice what was being downloaded, where, etc. It happens regardless if restored to factory defaults (seems to appear also on my wifes A510F after Nougat upgrade). It was not related to apps like messenger or instagram being updated by themselves as this feature was disabled in the settings.
FIX: Do the wipe of data and cache. It seems that the "mysterious downloads" was unsuccessfull attempt to update Android Instant Apps ( https://developer.android.com/topic/instant-apps/index.html )
Rare:
1. Blackout:
The screen turns black. After the restart phone boots up but once started again it defaults to lowest brightness level and need to be adjusted.
FIX: Do the wipe of data and cache.

I have, so far, experienced none of the things you have mentioned. Google keyboard works great, no random installations, call works perfectly fine.
VPN won't work
i have the exact same call problem as you have but i also have some random android.phone crashes WHILE ON THE SKYPE APP
WHAT IS HAPPENING
I've got no problems I wiped from fast rom. V2. To advance three. My phones fast. But always cold. So I know there's power wasted.... If I were you download eset file manager.. There's a file logger. I also use greenify.
I'm not saying that official Samsung release of Nougat for A3 2016 is a piece of crap but just could be better (or it lacks some testing).
It has some minor flaws either that you need to get used to or you need to find a workaround if too anoying.
In general Nougat was responsive and working quite well. The design of caller UI and the notification dropdown were particularly most irritating for me since I used them both lot of time - that's why I've decided to returned to Marshmallow.
I know that I could used Greenify, etc (I used it some time ago on my rooted Galaxy Ace2) but Marshmallow with all it's features had given me "out of the box" everything I needed for work. That is why Nougat was kind of disappointment as it required some tweaking. I've also spent some time with reseting to factory defaults or flashing 6.0 and upgrading again to 7.0 and flashing again... etc... but the issues still were there. I susspect (but cannot confirm this as I haven't made any research on it) it may be kind of "per device" issue. I had similar problems before with Galaxy Ace2 as the same model (i8160) had two different versions (without any visible differeces/different firmwares etc) which had two different LCD screen whereas devices with S6D27A1 LCD were working all the time fine and devices with the LCD WS2401 (mine was having this one ;] were the lower quality ones and had issues with some firmwares, etc). This could explain at least that some people do not have any issues after the upgrade and some do have.

As for android-phone process crashing I would suggest making wipe of user data and cache partition / reset to factory defaults. This does not seem to be related with the firmware (I doubt that Samsung would release a firmware which is causing that type of issue.

Sadly I don't have Nougat now (I've returned to Marshmallow) and cannot confirm but on Marshmallow VPN works fine.
BTW: Does VPN not work at all, or does not work only with 3G or Wi-Fi?

I returned to Nougat just to play around with it once again (I hoped to get rid of the battery drain issues, etc).
I can also confirm that the VPN support is broken (connecting is not possible) at least with the built-in VPN tool.
A310M Nougat is now available. I flashed it with ODIN over a rooted MM with xposed installed, no wipes.
Everything is working just fine, wifi, bt, calls, keyboard (both gboard and samsung), data, sms, alarm clock, camera (front/back, stills with effects and video), new themes gallery. I'm having just a few hiccups in Chrome with heavy pages. I have no complaints whatsoever.
I kinda like the new layout and icons. Seems fluid. Battery seems fine too. In MM I get around 2 days, +6h SoT with lots of internet browsing, instagram, utorrent, youtube (when I feel lazy to use my desktop), calls (maybe a couple of hours/day), whatsapp all day long, acdisplay always on. I don't use 3g/4g that much because I hardly need it, wifi available in home, college and work.
I'll keep an eye on the battery stats. Gotta let it settle down a bit as I get used to Nougat. I'm really loving it so far.
So after couple of days spend testing, etc. it seems that for me all problems are more or less gone. Basically only two real problems are left:
1. The UI designed clearly for bigger phones and not quite comfortable, but some workarounds are possible.
2. Not working VPN (which is something I really use very very very rarily)
The solution to most problems is instead of insisting on upgrade from 6.01 (which seems to be severely flawed) to do the wipe of data and cache after the upgrade and configure everything from scratch.
However if this won't help (like in my scenario) - you can consider installing custom recovery (please note the warranty void and stuff) - TWRP and wipe evertyhing from there and... flash 7.0 again. To be honest - this last option fixed most issues for me and left me with pretty usable phone (again).

Hello all,
Unfortunately I observe a significant power drain which was not observed with android v. 5 or 6. On top of that I have some issues with "GPS signal lost" during map navigation. It's going even worst when battery saving functions are on
I tried different "tricks" suggested here, such as wiping cache but with no luck. I'm considering going back to android 6
I'm running nougat in one SM-A310M. To be honest, I'm not experiencing nothing bad. The battery is ok, system stability is ok, performance on and functionality is quite better.
Some things that I've to say:
1 system memory WON approximately 800 MB of free space
2 RAM usage is equal to marshmallow, but too much optimized (reopening apps)
3 the light sensor bugs is gone
4 mine antutu record before were around 27k. Now is ~37k. (I don't know the why, but 3D tests were listed how "unsupported" at the end of tests and now, in nougat, is ok. The RAM score is quite higher also on nougat
5 all the new functionality like notifications, recent apps button, video app can now create GIFs and the pop up blocker (goodbye SIM crazy popups) on home screen are quite useful.
Unfortunately, we don't have the multi window and night mode features, but I general, the update is positive. Nothing bad for while.
I'm attaching two images. The higher value come from nougat.

Problems, issues, annoyances & bugs thread

Hello while I really love this phone it's got a few annoyances. I created this thread to see if I'm the only one and if anyone else reports any more.
Frequent FC of the Google and Google photos app
Random things happening if phone is not restarted frequently (eg all sound went quiet until restart)
Keyboard skin doesn't change for lock screen
Let me know if your having these issues or if you have any not listed.
Bugs I've had so far:
- one reboot while using snapchat
- sometimes it takes a lot of time for the device to wake up
- autobrightness is terrible in low light conditions(stuttering and inconsistence)
- while streaming audio with bluetooth in my car the radio somtimes shows audio paused while it's still playing. In this case remote controls also stop working
My xperience
I only had the phone for four days, because I found a dead pixel on my screen. I am currently expecting a replacement or a refund. During that time I noticed that changing the theme does not change anything else besides the home and lock screens. There were some random drops in wi-fi connection. I also noticed a couple of stutters here and there. Two or three apps crashed on exit. I also miss the picture album widget with the swiping pictures on screen. That is not present here.
So no one seems to be getting any issues like me ?

Agree about the autobrightness, it's inconsistent and keeps changing in low light conditions. Makes reading an absolute chore.
I'd also love a way to quick enable glove mode, my previous Samsung had that in the drawer menu.
for those of you who have owned sony phones, has there been timely updates to fix bugs like the ones being reported in this thread? some companies like to release updates with new features but without fixing bugs so im just making sure before i pull the trigger on an XZ1
thank you all!
I've had this issue after the recent update to build 47.1.A.2.324 . Google assistant doesnt work with Music ( default sony music app) . it used to work before this update, and it doesnt work anymore and asks me to set google music as the default music service.
WiFi signal drops when I hold my hand on the backside.
1. The phone seems to reboot itself frequently.
2. Sometimes no sound when alarm is going off. I overslept once because of this
3. Quite often no sound when phone is ringing. Need to reboot the phone for it to act normal again.
4. Crashing when picking up phone. Call goes to call waiting and phone rings again. When picking up there is a very loud biping sound throughout the conversation. This goes away when rebooting.

Oh god, i was going to change to the XZ1 this week after returning my Compact due to the rebooting, I thought they'd be different enough internals to not have the same issue. I guess its a Sony/Oreo issue then.
a freeze occourred waking up the phone from camera button. The camera button was set to "open and shot"
I had to reboot via vol+ and power...
Updated to 47.1.A.2.374 yesterday, sadly all bugs remain the same. And I can add one; the smart lock menu is empty and all smart lock function dont work anymore

Similar problems here even on the latest build 47.1.A.2.374. Also Google assistant frequently stops responding and then the phone becomes unresponsive and eventually restarts without prompting. Never had problems like this on the XZ when that was released. Seems to be some issues with Google services on this Sony hardware. Suggest everyone having issues pound the send feedback option and hope that someone in Google or Sony are listening!
My notification tones keep going off at random intervals and nothing's in the status bar that could've set it off.
Can confirm random reboots.
Bought the phone from clove and Amazon.
Amazon was horrendous reboots during setting the phone up - returned.
The clove one had no reboots until today, several times.
Some fkd up kernal CPU bogusness going on here.
Sony need to sort this.
I'll check with matlog tomorrow if anything stands out

Spotify + bluetooth audio disconnects

I use Spotify in my car and have set it to manually manage and allow it to run in the background..
However, the audio always cuts off to after a while after the screen goes off.
When I wake the phone I see Spotify still playing (audio via fone now, but this means it's kept running in background which is good) and Bluetooth remains connected to the device. It's like the android system just stops sending audio via Bluetooth after a while
Does anyone know how to solve this? My only workaround now is to keep the phone awake via an app like Google maps...
I'm on mate 10 pro. 8.0.0.131 c636

Same for me with deezer app and car audio which hadn't any disconnects on my other mobiles. No help though....
I tried to change the codec in developer options, which didn't change. I hadn't any bluetooth cutoff since then (couple of days now). Maybe coincidence.
I have discovered the same problem just today (my mate pro is fairly new). It is clearly a software bug. It also fails to update the track name on my car stereo - still shows the first track name even several tracks in.
To get it playing again I turned Bluetooth on and off. Quite annoying. I hope it gets fixed.
happens on my P10, happens on my mate10 pro as well.
It's not a bug, just unintuitive EMUI.
Fix Launch settings for Spotify and add the app on the "Ignore battery optimization"-list under Special Access menu.
It can be difficult to find. Search for "Special" and it will pop up, or click
Settings/Apps & notifications/Apps/Settings/Special Access/ignore battery optimization/

I did try this and it still doesn't work.
I don't think it's an issue with the app itself as this also happens on stock music app on stock launcher.
Audio cuts out, plays via the phone speakers so the app itself isn't being optimized or shutdown.. Seems like the Bluetooth function is though
Sent from my BLA-L29 using Tapatalk
I set spotify up with battery optimisation off and with manual launch in battery settings as part of my initial set up. That is not the cause of this Bluetooth problem, unfortunately.
Mine cuts off regardless of app and screentime... so even if i am playing music behind navigation, the bluetooth audio still pushes via the phone after a while
bluetooth still showing connected to the device.
The issue seems resolved for me, but don't know exactly what fixed it.
The only 2 things I did was to manually manage all apps(battery settings), prevent almost all apps from running in background except the audio apps (music/Spotify, and other impt widgets.. Which was already done previously)
And reset defaults on developer mode (not that i changed anything)
See if u guys have any luck with this
Sent from my BLA-L29 using Tapatalk
Hey guys,
Greetings from a Mediapad owner. (EMUI should have it's own subforum)
I first experienced this issue, or a similar issue for myself a few days ago - audio would cut out with the screen off, and would be choppy at best with the screen on (but my music player in the background). The music player itself would stay open, and as soon as I put in the foreground, audio would resume from where it left off (i.e. playback would be paused while the app was in the background).
I am also looking for insight. My suspicion is that EMUI's launch feature is responsible for killing an Android system process related to media, bluetooth, and/or battery optimization in this instance. Launch only allows you to specify preferences for user apps; system apps are managed automatically by Launch no?
Here is the insight I can provide:
This issue went away for me as soon as I plugged in a charger. Connected to a charger, EMUI's battery optimization is apparently less aggressive.
After trying random things, I once again attempted to stream music in the background without a charger plugged in. Eventually, the issue fixed itself. I am not sure if I did anything to accomplish that, however there are two things that may have contributed:
As with another poster above, I tried to change the bluetooth driver in Developer Settings. I was unsuccessful and there was no change for a while after.
The other thing I did, is I found what I think is the standard Android battery usage screen that EMUI hides from us, and I played around with it. This screen showed me that "Android System" was not set to ignore battery optimization. I tried to change that and couldn't. Really, I didn't change anything, but in this process it is possible that an Android system app relating to battery optimization may have been reopened after having been killed off?
The only way I know how to access that screen btw, is to download an app titled 'pNutsAnySettings' and then click on the tile with the battery percentage on it.
I had exactly the same issue with my Mate 10 pro in my car. Audio would cut off from car and continue playing on the phone but the car said it was still connected to the phone. I had the same kind of issue with my Garmin Forerunner watch which would constantly disconnect throughout the day meaning I missed smart notifications.
I found on another thread (Cant remember what one) that if you have root, use Titanium Backup to freeze the Power Genius app. Since doing this a few weeks ago I have not had the issue again in the car and my Garmin now stays connected all day and night

I read that same thing as well - but freezing the Power Genius app (via Xposed Edge Pro) didn't help in my case. Maybe it would have if I had rebooted, or something.
In any event, I believe that freezing the Power Genius app partially if not fully disables EMUI's launch feature, which I generally like...
This problem returned for me last night. I turned bluetooth off and back on again. That fixed it.
My mate 10 Pro does this too. 2011 Camaro SS with MyLink conversion. I go into BY, hit the info icon and disconnects the media playback then reconnect it. Works for a few days. Comes back. No clue why
(Unrooted stock btw)
Update: I finally disabled Power Genius and rebooted. No more pesky issues and if anything my battery life has improved. Only differences I observe (on my Mediapad): there are no longer 'app usage' battery stats inside the EMUI settings app (I can access them by other means), and Launch now needs to be managed through the Settings app (rather than the App Info screen).

The app you need to freeze or disable is Power Genius. It's a component of EMUI. It won't show up in your main app list, but if you are rooted you can use an app like Titanium or Service Disabler to do the trick. If you aren't rooted - this is a prime example of why people root.
If that's what you were asking?

Mate 10 Pro - GPS issues

Hi,
as soon as I bought this phone I am struggling with making the GPS receiver working properly in app such as Starava and Endomondo. Mate constantly drops the signal for couple of seconds. I tried different solutions such as:
apps->ignore battery optimization
manage the apps (running in the background) manually
Strava works without autopause
last used apps -> padlock is set to locked
Below you will see a compare of a proper signal (red) and Mate's (blue) with a lot of losses.
Please help as it is very annoying 'feature'.

I have exactly the same experience. My (new) Mate 10 Pro has far worse GPS accuracy than my (previous) Galaxy S7 Edge.
Tried many possible solutions, nothing helps. Shame on you, Huawei!! :crying:
I don't use these apps but I remember the same complaints about Mate 9. A joke that it hasn't been sorted out yet!
Mate 10 lite garbage gps
Same issues with endomondo amd my huawei mate 10 lite.... Gps loosing signal when running in the park, but no issues with gps driving applications... Instead of 3.14 km it shows me only 2 km, it is loosing signal every 5 mins.
Same thing here, bought mate 10 pro (bla-l29) 3 weeks ago and besides its great camera and other stuff, this problem with gps and strava is so annoying.
Here are two pics, first from a bike ride, with numerous spikes, and other, walking, where red line is gps track from the mate and cyan is actual track that I was walking.
I have sent a question today to the official croatian huawei forum, but I don't expect some remedy. Maybe a new Android Pie and EMUI 9,which is scheduled to arrive in my country on 14 December fixes that issue, otherwise I'm thinking on selling the thing, because I'm quite often on my bike and trekking in nature.
Edit: Since I'm a new member, can't post external links to pics, sorry.
My mate 10 works great with GPS.. In the car or walking. Even in the train..
Is GPS dropping only while the screen is off (or app in background)? If rooted, the solution is to disable the Power Genius app using either Titanium Backup or Service Disabler (and then reboot). If not rooted, you can try via ADB but I'm not sure it will work.
"Ignore Battery Optimization" affects Android's built-in battery optimization. Power Genius is responsible for Huawei's built-in battery optimization features - which don't increase your battery life but do cause issues with GPS, music playback, screen brightness, etc.

There are two things which can be done, one is to manage apps manually (via battery settings) and other with that "Ignore Battery Optimization".
So you are saying both are standard android features, nothing to do with Power Genius service?
Yesterday I've allowed "Ignore Battery Optimization" for Strava, restarted the phone (as suggested on many places after this), and went for a short test ride. It seems that there are definitely less spikes than before, but still there were two of them on a 5km trip. And the GPS accuracy is still not satisfying. The screen was locked, as was always on my previous Samsung A5 and all iPhones before that.
I've tried disabling the lock screen few days before, but during walking. Half trip the screen was on, half off. I didn't notice any difference. During walking there were no spikes, but the accuracy was very bad, the track had two very strange off-paths in order of 40-50 meters.
Static accuracy of GPS is always ok, in several apps. But dinamic gps tracking is bad.
I'll try Endomondo, other app for the same purpose and post results here.
"Ignore Battery Optimization" is an Android feature.
"Launch" (manage apps manually) is an EMUI feature.
"Power Genius" is a separate EMUI feature. Amongst other things, it uses an algorithm to determine what apps and processes should be killed off when they are in the background. But it is artificial intelligence that is not intelligent - when you are streaming music, it kills processes necessary for bluetooth music playback. If you use an app like Google Maps, it gets killed off like clockwork after so many minutes in the background.
There are sometimes ways to manipulate it, i.e. I think it looks at how long a process has been running, how many apps are running in the background, whether the phone is being charged. But generally, there is no downside to disabling it if you are rooted.
I am relatively new to Huawei, Power Genius is the main reason I would never be inclined to recommend a Huawei device to a lay person who did not intend to root it, or what not.
Oh, bummer.
Well, I'll test some more, with Strava and Endomondo, and if nothing improves, I'll see whether to consider rooting, or that ADB thing, or replacing it for Samsung S8.
I don't have experience with rooting, but I jailbreaked every iPhone I had, my occupation is software developer, recently changed the firm and now beginning to develop under Android studio, so i think I could do that. But I'm afraid it could be pure GPS problem, either hardware or software, I'm not sure.
If I leave the screen on during the ride, and problems persist, can we exclude Power Genius and blame GPS receiver or code responsible for it?
The phone has a problem with the GPS, thats for sure. Even after the Pie update, nothing changed. I personally had no issues with killing apps, but overall GPS accuracy is very poor. For example, Im walking down the road on a left sidewalk, google maps says Im on the right side of the road. Thats about 10 meters away ! And in a open space with no obsticles. Definitely a HW issue

Realme 3 pro: Realme UI Issues and bugs list

Please share the known Issues and bugs or whatever you faced with the Recent update RMX1851_11_C.02
i am facing mono sound instead of stereo..... is that a known issue? do anybody know about it?
Pubg experience is worst in realme ui
These are current list of issues I have comeacross on Realme3pro using RealmeUI - RMX1851_11_C.02
1. Issues in app clone functionality.
2. Lock the taskmenu apps not working
3. Color combination of realmeUI not good at all.
4. Default font on realmeUI was worest compared to colorOS.
5. SMS management not there.
6. Download manager not working as expected.
7. Notifications view is not clear.
8. No functionality to mark notifications as UNimportant
Here are some bugs I would like to inform :
1. Fingerprint sensor doesn't work sometimes while unlocking phone. I need to open manually by inputing passcode. Sensor starts working properly after that until a few hours later when it stops again.
2. Face unlock also shows same problem as fingerprint sensor.
3. Occasionally there is lag in the entire ui and even WhatsApp starts to stutter.
All of these bugs weren't present in Android 9, so they should be fixable I guess.
MAIN BUG
we cant unlock bootloader on realme ui!
Auto brightness is keep disabling automatically.
due to some unknown stimulator auto brightness kept disabling for me.... may be some game space settings....
The fingerprint sensor doesn't work properly.
Installed RealmeUI yesterday via ozip method. Seems good. Everything runs fine. But i want to disable/delete some bloatwares. But not able to do. Tried different methods but none of them are working. Can anyone guide?
Battery not getting charge over 96%. My battery is stuck on 96% from 18 mins.
Everytime I played CODM the game will crashing in the middle of the game.
Before I updated my Realme 3 pro to android 10 there is no problem about my phone. But now, everytime I played CODM or PUBGM the game will force stop or crashing in the middle of the game.
Is it real a update or downgrade or some sort of virus Realme has sent to Realme 3 pro phones, lots of bugs from fingerprint sensor to everything. Battery is most effected by this. before real UI Andriod 10 for me its easily give me full day backup. now its hardly giving me half day. Battery drain issue is really pathetic.
Hmm, i havent updated yet thanks to warnings from many peeps, but if you guys (who have issues) can, can you try master resetting and wiping your device clean after updating to q (OFCOURSE AFTER DOING A BACKUP OF EVERYTHING to a pc, coz sometimes even internal storage gets wiped!) and see if it solves your issues?, Also reboot to recovery and clear cache and dalvik cache just to be safe. Many times it actually does solve big bugs for me on these chinese brands big updates, i actually always do this for big updates and have noticed i face much less bugs than other users who dont.
I am too facing the same issue, battery is getting drained very fast after updating it to "REALME UI" (android 10) with normal use. 10% battery is getting drained in every single hour though mobile is in stand by mode.
No Play AFK anymore on game assistant in Game Space.. that sucks
I having a problem that i not sure is bug from Realme UI or Whatapps/FB Messenger with Realme Buds Air or the Bluetooth,
before i update to Realme Ui, the mic volume is very loud and clear in whatapps and FB messenger,
but once i updated, the volume for the Realme Bud air bcome very low on all the voice message i send in Whatapps and FB messenger,
and in Wechat, everything work fine, still loud & clear.... so i really not sure what is the problem.
And sometime, when i pair it, might work perfect, but still random for me , 10 times try, 1 time ok.
I also try to format the phone, and is still same.
Posted to Realme community, so far no reply
i got frozen screen.. when i restart the phone
I'm facing lot of issues after the update....Automatically Music player turns off frequently....keyboard getting freezes.....Call dropping everytime....voice getting blank in the middle most of the times. ...getting call from the same person while speaking with the same person......if i disconnect the call, it will not hang up immediately need to restart most of the times to come out of the current call....sometimes call duration is not calculating, its displaying calling screen even after call attended....double tap to wake up the screen is too slow
