Bluetooth is not working in win11 - Windows 11

So I installed windows 11 on my sony Vaio VPCEG3AEN yesterday and I got an error during installation, so I used Rufus and installed windows as ON THE GO in the hdd.
Now the laptop is running smoothly but I am having trouble setting up the bluetooth.
Firstly there is no option to turn on bluetooth and when I try to add a new device I get a error saying couldn't connect

In the device manager I tried the default bt driver from windows and various other drivers including "Qualcomm Atheros AR3011" bluetooth driver but I keep getting "" icon after refreshing the device manager page, and in the device's description it says
"WINDOWS HAS STOPPED THIS DEVICE BECAUSE IT HAS REPORTED PROBLEMS. (CODE 43)"
Its not a hw damage or loose connection, i have windows 10 installed on another hdd which was previously used in the same laptop, so the bluetooth works fine in windows 10.
I haven't found a way to fix the bt yet
It would be really helpful if anyone have any idea to fix this issue
Update: I tried to backup the bt driver from windows 10 hdd using driver booster and after restoring the driver in windows 11 the bt started working, but some time after a reboot the bt stops working and I have to restore the driver again.
Haven't found a permanent solution

What happens if you just uninstall the driver?

Nothing, in the device manager the bluetooth device gets the default ms driver and it doesn't work .
So now as a temporary fix I have to restore the driver over and over after a reboot or shutdown (sometimes it works even after reboot).

You may try Driver Easy software to scan your drivers.

You could try taking out the cmos battery for a solid 10-20 minutes and see if it still does that. Make sure your pc is shut down, and the power cable is removed from the power supply.
I had the same issue, but with the intel ethernet controller. Properties showed the 43 error, device manager shows that it doesn't work.
Try removing the cmos. Good luck!

Is your BIOS up to date? Also, are you using a driver that is Win 11 compatible? Lastly, are all your hardware Win 11 compatible including your BT?

Well for me I got it working with a command line tool. How ever my laptop of choice is a google pixlebook and the Bluetooth was active just would never connect to any devices. I searched all year looking for an answer and finel dropped into my head that i should try it from command line. There is an install package that can be downloaded and a good tutorial.Bluetooth-Comand-Line-Tools.
Worked for me could solve your issues as well.

Check your device
Before starting any complicated fixes, make sure you’ve checked these things:
Make sure your device supports Bluetooth
Make sure your device has turned on Bluetooth
Make sure your PC has turned on Bluetooth
Here’s how to check on Windows 11 PC:
1) Press the Windows logo key + A to open Quick Settings.
2) Make sure the Bluetooth button is enabled.
3) You can re-enable Bluetooth on PC by turning off Bluetooth and then enabling it later. Then check if your device can work on your PC. It may work for some users.

Must be a common issue as I have exactly the same issue and the same photo's to display too.....I tried a Co called Driver Updater, the free version but that was totally useless, did nothing then they harassed to upgrade repeatedly. Still not got a fix for my W11 VPC but looking into it. Pity Sony have dumped the product range as they used to be pretty good for drivers etc....no longer. I just need to get my mitts on a driver, thought it would be quite simple ....ha!

finally found the driver pack at:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72163.exe
and its now up and working on my Sony Vaio VPCEH on Windows 11

Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter
Press the Windows + I keys to open the Settings menu.
Select Troubleshoot from the left.
Click on Other troubleshooters.
Hit the Run button for Bluetooth.
Wait for the troubleshooter to complete the process and do the needful if asked.

I first had the BT issue on my laptop when attempting to use Windows 11 Phone Link to link my iPhone. I got this:
I have been researching this for two weeks. The same thing happened with other programs emulating Phone LInk i.e Wormhole and iMyfone, (Wormhole worked on my Windows 10 desktop and allows me to control all functions of iPhone 14 pro). I did all the installing/reinstalling/getting latests BT drivers from Intel etc. used the BT troubleshooter, which kept telling me that BT radio was not turned on even though it was, and when the troubleshooter offered to turn it on and I agreed, nothing happened and the process then repeated itself.... then I noticed that my iPhone was showing in BT in device manager, so I paired and unpaired etc, other devices like, Razer Pro click mouse, speakers etc all worked perfectly. So there is nothing wrong as far as my diagnosis can make out , with my BT. I have latest Windows 11 updates 22H2, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Phone Link app, tried safe boot and selective startup, going though the usual procedure of disabling services half and half to figure out if a driver is buggy. (by then it was 4am in the morning and I was gurgling spittle all over the keyboard and the neghbours were knocking on my walls because my shouts of frustration and expletive laden rants at Microsoft had woken them up etc etc) So the app is NOT seeing BT and the sames is true of emulations of the same software. Therefore ,the problem must be within the Windows 11 OS settings somewhere. Also as with another poster on here the BT on off radio button disappeared, I found it again but in a completely different location (I am confusing myself now cos I can't remember exactly where ,but it was through Control Panel) I have posted all over Microsofts communities and support pages, found other users with the same or very similar problems with this app. Microsoft specialist have suggested only things I have already done.I have City and Guilds and Comp Tia certs. for Windows systems and have been fixing them since Windows 98 (all through them and the Vista BSD wars ho ho ho ) so I am not exactly a dunce ... eeeeerm! and yet I cant fix this one seemingly simple bug. Any suggestions or ideas cheerfully tried. Thanks.

0. Copy the nk.nbf file in the same folder with this flashing tool
1. Select your phone type G3 or G4.
2. If you use windows Vista or Windows 7 check the Vista option.
3. If you have already HardSPL your phone please uncheck the HSPL option.
4. Press Start Button to start ROM Flashing.
For Vista or Windows7 you need to replace the drivers with corect one from attached files. It works for bouth operation systems.
If you have the 64-bit edition of Windows you must disable digital driver signing before you continue on! To do this, restart your computer. After the initial BIOS screen but before the Windows bootup splash screen, spam press F8 until you see a Windows menu. If you do not get a menu and end up in Windows you pressed F8 at the wrong time. Try it again until you get the menu. In the menu select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement or Disable Digital Driver Signing (depending on your version of Windows). Windows will finish booting up and you can continue on.
More info about drivers installation here...
You don't need any other file to flash the ROM!!!!!!!!!
Sounds good! Will test it and if it's working good, I'll add it to my own ROMs!
Thanks for this i will test this asap
Please some feedback.
Thanks!
Nice...
Good idea to make it simpler...

After the hardSPL is done windows search for new drivers on the net. If you have an internet connection a bed drivers are installed. You must replace this driver and I remember the name is "PocketPC USB". The driver is the same in case of three color booting

What do you mean by "to replace"? Simply to overwrite the driver files on the disk with the files from archive? I have Vista with already installed and running Mobility center. I tried to update the driver by pointing to the new drivers - system says I heve the latest drivers... I tried to install new drivers by clicking the inf files - got the message that it can't be installed in sucha a way...
Looks it is nice tool, but my knowledge probably is not enought..
Thanks in advance.

You have to make an upgrade to the already installed drivers by selecting the upgrade option in the hardware manager. After that you must select "manual pick" and "I have location" to point to the working driver. Remember that you need to replace only the driver active in the upgrading process (in the tree color state or after hard SPL)
Great job, thanks.

Is normal to disconnect activesync after hardspl because it change the phone state to update drivers. Sometime if you don't have finished the activesync connections steps, after hardspl, the updating program repport imposibility to connect. Don't worry. Exit updating program without close the "Update Prophet" program and make again all steps for upgrading (select g3 or g4 model always, if it is already selected too, select hspl option) and start a new upgrading, ignore copy warning with "cancel". Normaly the update process will start again and report corrected connection for upgrade.
Thanks al try that but after that error active sync wont find it and the update software aswell so i always have to reset my device first then flash but yes al keep on trying I suspect it must be a software thats interupting the upgrade maybe i should close down all my programs first before upgrade to prevent this problem the only program i got is IM Clients and Firefox browser plus Windows Defender al try it and let you know because those applications could be interupting the update process. Thanks again

I ran v2.1 on Windows7 x64 (b7100) with installed Vista64_DRIVER.
Signing drivers was turned off, test mode (for OS) was turned on.
But unsuccessfull: RUU still crash.
See details in this screenshot:
http://s1.sendpic.ru/111214.jpeg.html
BTW, is it significant that "sleep4.exe" is "not compatible" or not?
Because I think that there is something wrong with Vista64_DRIVER driver.
Any solutions?

1. Take the battery, SD card and SIM out of the phone
2. Open device manager (on computer search it or control panel)
3. Holding volume+ connect it to PC via USB (once you hear a sound from PC you can release Volume +)
4. In other devices MT65xx Preloader
7. Right click MT65xx Preloader
8. Go to update driver
9. Locate the drivers provided according to your OS (XP, Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8)
10. And let it do its work.
You might have to reboot your system after installing VCOM driver, to confirm connect your device once again without battery and see if you something like "MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port" means your driver is installed properly if you still see "MT65xx PreLoader" you have to repeat the process.
Remember the hardware in the Device Manager is visible for few secs only.
Any solution for this?

How to enable installation of unsigned drivers?
The tut is for win 8, and for 64 bits.
I followed a command prompt method of " bcdedit....checks" (for win 7 /64 bit) but it did not work.
I downloaded the vcom drivers for win 7 uploaded by bharghav 1991 but on installation the system said it could not install the file because it was an INF file.

My device SD and desk top have turned to virtual grave yards of software souls.

I also tried the battery in method mentioned above .

Nexus 7 wiped operating system

Hello.
Could anybody point me towards, or drag me along, a path to revive a Nexus 7, please?
If I have wandered into the big boys forum please feel free to tell me to clear off or, better, suggest an alternative forum more suited to my ability. After two weeks of "research" I am stuck at what I suspect is a simple matter around connectivity. Is this a suitable place to ask for any help & guidance? ; I am well aware that it would be needed in a simplistic form.
As a learning project, I managed to root a Nexus 7 2013 which was displaying problems, and enabled USB debugging.. However, whilst exploring the TWRP options on the Nexus, I wiped everything, including the OS and I had not made a backup.
On a Windows XP tower, I installed Nexus Root Toolkit & an Android OS version plus a multitude of files, such as TWRP & GAPP.
When connected by USB cable, the XP machine finds new hardware, but the installation wizard fails and the Nexus does not show up in Device Manager or elsewhere.

Did you search/read HERE. That is the forum for the N7. I also have the same model and I also know that posting in that forum will fetch a reply, if at all, at a much later date. That is why I have not moved your thread there.
I also used the NRT in the initial days of my learning process and faced the driver issue also. One solution that worked was to install USBDview and remove all the unnecessary drivers before using NRT for installing drivers and for flashing.
Did you go through the NRT thread for the driver issue?
Thanks. ( I have read through some of the Nexus section threads, but cannot find a suitable solution.)
Using USBDview within NRT enabled me to clear several Nexua & Android items and get folders for Portable Devices and MTR to show in XP Device Manager; however the MTR displays a fault (exclamation) marking, (although it reports as working OK and no better update is found with the wizard.).
Using NRT firstly reports that "updates cannot access serve" and using "Unlock Bootloader" indicates "Fastboot device Connected, before changing the Nexus screen from Start arrow to Google lock screen, At the same time XP reports new hardware found (MTR device) and the wizard reports it as installed
So there must be some form of connection.
However if Full Driver Test is then run, NRT just reports ADR device not found.
TheNRT subsequent suggestions hinge on having USB Debugging toggle access.
Sorry, but I have no idea for a suitable logical rectification route.
Google Asus Nexus 7 (2013) is based on Qualcomm-Snapdragon chipset hence you need to download and install Qualcomm-Snapdragon-suitable USB-drivers ( incl. ADB / Fastboot ) what is a must need to connect a Snapdragon Chipset based device with a computer: the USB-drivers (ADB / Fastboot) what are offered on hundreds of websites - as also here on XDA - are developed by Google for Google Pixel phones, although they may work on other devices, too.
Thanks. I have now got a Qualcomm (unzipped)) folder Driver with sub folders & tried to set this for the MTP device in the XP Device manager. No success, probably due to my lack of knowledge.
How do I proceed, please?
By asking such basic questions, should I abandon the Nexus until I have learned to walk?

In the NRT, there is a section on driver installation and also drivers. After removing redundant drivers with USBDview, try the drivers and methods given in NRT itself. Unless proper drivers are installed, you can't do anything whether with NRT or adb.
Also, try a different PC or laptop.
I tried on a Windows10 laptop but the trial followed exactly the same route as already followed & ended in exactly the same place.
Drivers were installed from within NRT. The NRT signposted ones are Google (No mention of Qualcomm)
Still getting "No ADB connectivity for MTR device"

Thanks. I had already tried that Install wizard, but have repeated it. It runs and reports "Drivers installed" (although I cannot find where). The Nexus still shows in XP Device Manager as a portable device and with MTP showing fault requesting reinstall drivers.

I need a fix to this problem

Hello, I am a windows user and wish to create a multiboot usb which I can use to opt multiple OS to install but I am facing some problem, I used all types of software for making bootable usb like WINUSB, VENTOY and MULTIUSB but when I start the process after adding iso of windows 10 and windows 7, A blue screen of death appears and it says that a system service known as CLASSPNP.SYS has excepted and your pc needs to restart. I face this problem everytime while creating a bootable usb, I even tried this on another pc but this problem is still there, any help regarding this problem will be greatly appreciated.
After multiple failed attempts, I finally called Microsoft and asked. These are the instructions they emailed me:
1. Insert a USB at least 4GB in size
2. Open CMD prompt as Admin
3. Run diskpart
4. Run list disk
5. Select your flash drive by running "select disk"
6. Run clean by typing "clean"
7. Create a partition by typing "create partition primary"
8. Select the new partition by typing "select partition 1"
9. Format the partition by typing "format fs=ntfs quick"
10. Set the current partition as Active by typing "Active"
11. Exit diskpart
12. Mount your ISO. Use Virtual CloneDrive or something similar.
13. Navigate to the mounted image and install a bootsector. Ex. If the mounted ISO is on drive G: you'd navigate to G:\ boot and run:
C:\WindowsSystems32> G:
G:\> cd boot
G:\boot> bootsect.exe /nt60 E: (where E:\ in this case is my flash drive's letter)
14. Copy the entire contents of the ISO to your flash drive by typing " G:\> xcopy g:\*.* e:\ /E /H /F"
Once that's done, your USB is finished.
Bro these tricks are really helpful, I really appreciate your help
Is the SATA setting in the BIOS for the boot machine set to AHCI (which it should be) or something else? I haven't seen it set for something else in a while (multi maybe) but you could check that?

Was just an idea of things I have seen. Have you tried different USBs of different sizes? And messed around with choosing ntfs/exfat/fat32? Pretty sure with windows installs now NTFS is preferred but could still try juggling around. Also, is it only with the Windows 10 isos on the multiboot USB? I know that the newer ISOs have had issues with being bootable and maybe they are the problem. Did you try with just a windows 7 ISO and maybe a ubuntu image as well just to see if those work. I personally use ventoy so trying things out like this is a breeze. I know I have had windows 10 isos that didn't work but they never crashed ventoy entirely so it seems something else is going on.
Yes bro You are right, It works if you first make the ventoy iso bootbable using rufus and then we should turn off the secure boot option in BIOS then we should boot into usb, then we should follow the steps of the ventoy live cd. After that the ventoy bootbable drive would be ready. Now I booted into windows and observed that there is no more space left on usb, then i used minitool partition software or any other software (minitool is recommended) and formatted the remaining exfat partition into NTFS or Fat32. After that the partition became visible and I copied both Iso files in that partition, in the end you can turn on secure boot . This should definitely work. You can install the ventoy iso from their github page.

I am not sure why you are telling me how to use something I am already using for years without issue? I was just throwing some ideas at you to try. I know I never had to deal with using a separate partition tool to get the USB ready for ventoy at all. That was all part of the Ventoy2Disk.exe and I didn't mess with the livecd at all. Maybe whatever is causing you to be unable to use Ventoy2Disk.exe is also causing issues with the media creation.
Actually I was just telling how I solved the problem. Ventoy2Disk.exe is not working in my pc as when I start the process to make bootable usb , I get a BSOD and CLASSPNP.SYS exception error. Then I found the alternative of Ventoy2Disk.exe which is Livecd.iso

Have you asked in the ventoy forums about this? I read this as a problem attempting to boot after creation, but this is a problem in actually creating the boot USB?
Bro I havent asked yet but will ask and tell you what they said

You'd probably want to keep it on fat32 for older computers and OSes, or ntfs for newer ones. Can't mix and match on the same stick. Then you'd need grub or some usb bootloader menu to input the other OS values.

U can use easy to boot to make a multi os bootable flash disk. it supports both legacy and UEFI systems.
Easy2Boot The USB multiboot solution (legacy, UEFI, Secure Boot)
The free USB multiboot solution for professionals (legacy+UEFI, Secure Boot, automate Windows installs, DOS, XP, Ventoy)

Thankyou everyone for your help, now i have found the exact solution. Actually my antivirus program was interfering with the whole process. I tried the process in safe mode and it worked like a charm. Now i have removed the antivirus and make multiboot usb without any interruptions!!
Please help ....
It's a problem you get notified of by the GRUB bootloader: you have deleted Linux partitions before removing GRUB bootloader.
My recommendation: Remove the GRUB bootloader, will say go back to Windows bootloader.
No problem man

Is it possible to connect to scrcpy through ethernet connection only without: rooting the phone, using wifi or having a usb connection to pc

Hello,
I got the following phone:
Moto G Pure | 2021 | 2-Day battery | Unlocked | Made for US by Motorola | 3/32GB | 13MP Camera | Deep Indigo
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09BTB5MKT/
The phone charger port is usb c. It has an Android 11 installed.
Assumptions:
-I got a 2-1 dongle that allows to have an ethernet connection and charger at the same time.
-Phone is not rooted.
-Wifi is disabled (since I'm using ethernet) so assume no adb over wifi setting can be used.
-Phone charger is not connected to the pc usb so assume no adb over usb setting can be used.
How can I enable adb over ethernet so I could launch scrcpy on the same local network to access the phone screen/sending adb commands through command line as needed?
I found a similar post about this from 2018 on xda: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/scrcpy-connection-help.3791716/
OP ended up ending writing the following update:
EDIT - problem solved: adb over ethernet instead of usb or wifi.
connected my android (galaxy view) to my network (ethernet) using the otg usb port and now, combined with the "adb over ethernet" app from the play store that i just discovered, the adb connection between my android and pc functions just as if they were connected by a usb cable, no more having to first connect the usb to get wifi to kick in, only to have to repeat this process again and again.
But when I tried to download "adb over ethernet" app, I noticed that it says that it requires root so I can't really use it?
A more recent comment on that post from 2022, someone said:
For others who find this in a search, you can get scrcpy to open up (and then kill the console to get it out of the way) on Android up to Android 11 using the "--tcpip=192.168.0.2:5555" option, but there's new capabilities in Android 12 now that eliminate totally the need for the initial USB connection.
In Android 12 you can also use scrcpy completely over Wi-Fi without first establishing the adb connection over USB like you need to do with Android 11.
There are new commands in the Android 12 Developer options to enable everything to be done over Wi-Fi which I've been using since May.
So it seems like the first option here (OP) is to root your phone and the second option (comment) is to upgrade your Android OS to version 12, which eliminates the need for a USB cable to enable adb debugging, but is there a way I could be able to connect to scrcpy on my Android 11 through the ethernet connection only without upgrading the Android version or rooting the phone?
When I currently try to run it this is the error I get (when only ethernet is connected, no wifi or usb connection to pc):
C:\scrcpy>scrcpy.exe
scrcpy 1.25 <https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy>
ERROR: Could not find any ADB device
ERROR: Server connection failed
Alternatively, can I enable adb over wifi in Android 11 so I could connect through scrpcy and without worrying that I might need to approve adb debugging in the small popup window that shows on the phone each time (or that shows periodically. In other words can that message be completely eliminated without rooting?). I do see under settings, developer options a setting called "Wireless debugging" (in addition to existing setting "USB debugging" which I had enabled when I used a direct USB connection the pc). So after enabling Wireless debugging, it asked me if I want to allow ADB debugging every time when my phone is connected to my local wifi network, I said yes. Now when I run scrcpy the following way using the local ip of my phone that was received by the wifi, I get the following error (IP was censored - this is only when wifi is connected, no usb connection to pc):
C:\scrcpy>scrcpy.exe --tcpip=192.168.X.X -b 2M -m 1024 --max-fps=15 --legacy-paste
scrcpy 1.25 <https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy>

According to
Wireless debugging in Android 11
Android 11 developer preview has lots of new features to look but one of the coolest is Wireless debugging. It is a new method for…
levelup.gitconnected.com
“Requirements :
Device running with Android 11
SDK platform-tools with version ≥ 30.0.0.
Same Wi-Fi network for Android device and your PC
Wireless debugging
Android 11 supports deploying and debugging your app wirelessly from your workstation via Android Debug Bridge (adb). For example, you can deploy your debuggable app to multiple remote devices without physically connecting your device via USB and contending with common USB connection issues, such as driver installation.”
So this should be supported in Android 11, then why scrcpy fails to connect to my phone ip?
Thank you.
AFAIK the mobile device should be connected to a computer - either via USB or wirelessly in the same LAN.
This computer can be connected from a remote computer (via SSH), and SCRCPY can be used from this remote computer.
Device's Android must not be rooted to run SCRCPY.

SSH is a non graphic user interface, so how exactly can you run scrcpy from a remote computer you connected through SSH in some non gui terminal window?
In Windows 11 you execute SSH commands either via Windows CMD

though i think what your asking has more to do with right port and port forwarding rules aye?
1. obtain permission
2. set the rules on your router
3. "nmap it!" or wireshark (not recommended)

I understand what’s ssh and how to run it from cmd/powershell, what I don’t understand is how it’s related to scrcpy? What’s the context of saying ssh and scrcpy in the same sentence? Assuming you ssh from cmd/powershell into some remote machine, can you run scrcpy in that remote machine? And if so, will the scrcpy/phone color screen will show up in the cmd/powershell black screen? That’s what I don’t understand...

So if I understand correctly, I could ssh from an external network machine into the internal network that has both the phone and ‘pc that I ssh to’, and then I will be able to run scrcpy remotely from my external network machine without the need to actually remote desktop into the machine to launch scrcpy that’s in the same network as the phone as long as I establish an SSH connection with that machine in that local network? Please correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds very cool, it’s like some sort of VPN that allows you to access the local resources of that network using SSH in this case, thank you for pointing this out to me!
By the way, if I SSH from my iphone to that local machine network, is there an app or a way to launch scrcpy against that local network similar to how you would do it from the remote machine pc but just from my iphone? I have iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 14.4.1 jailbroken and got newterm3 terminal that allows me to ssh to remote computers.
