I just got the TouchWiz UX launcher installed on my Nexus S 4G, but for some reason I can't place down any Widgets on my home screen. I get greeted with the following message whenever I try:
"Not installed with permissions needed for binding Widgets"
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Anyone know how I can solve this? :c

Have you flashed a zip or installed it as an apk?

APK. The zip doesn't do anything when I flash it.

Have you also installed it on system/app with root or not?
Is the bug when you try to add widget from drawer or from homescreen?
make a nandroid backup and then delete your old system/app launcher and push the touchwiz ux launcher to system/app then reboot should work
you can put only widgets from drawer if launcher is installed as a system app

I had this problem and I finally figured out how to fix it. Here is what you do. Place the apk in system/app. It wont let you add any widgets. Then go in root explorer and hold your finger on the touchwizUX launcher and clixk on permissions. Check ALL the boxes and reebot your phone. After that it should work fine.

Jeah i forgot to mention to change permisiions sorry

Other people have it installed, why i cant? Im using SGS v.7 ROM, should i install it on system/app or something or i really dont know, i hope you can help me!
It should work, are you installing it before the other apps.
Try moving it to system/app and setting the permissions to rw-r-r

You have to install readers hub on your internal storage. To do this copy your file via root explorer into /system/app.
Then you choose the apk by tapping it for some seconds.

A new window appears and you have to choose permissions.
Now you put ticks in the first two spots in the first line, in the first spot of the second line and in the first spot of the third line. The other spots have to be empty. Should look like this:
Then you have to reboot. You don't have to install the app. Just reboot and the app will be installed after the next reboot
thank you it worked for me

Why are some of my app drawer icons not being skinned by downloaded theme?

I have rooted my S3 and am running on Foxhound 1.2 ROM. Am using Apex Launcher Pro and have downloaded one of the launcher's themes from the Play Store. Here's the link to the theme I downloaded: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...pbWFsdGV4dC5reWxlZGVzaWduZWRtZS5hZHd0aGVtZSJd
Anyway so now I have a problem. The theme doesn't skin all of my icons in the app drawer and I'm not sure why. Here's what it looks like now. The same problem apps were unskinned on my homescreen as well but I was able to change them manually. Any ideas how to do the same for the app drawer, or why the theme cannot be applied to those icons? Thanks!

Hi,
Have you rebooted?
Or it's just simply because the author of the theme has not (yet) skinned the icones of these apps (strange for the icone of Apex launcher since it's a theme for Apex )?
You can send a mail to the dev...
Yup I have rebooted and restarted the launcher as well. I don't think it's because the developer has not skinned those apps yet because I was able to manually find the icons for them on my home screen. Just really puzzled as to why they're not being auto detected in the drawer. Sigh.
Do you think wiping cache would help?

[APP][share][CM7/9/10]Fixed TouchWiz TaskManager

actually this is not my app ... i am sharing this app fromGalaxy SL i9003themes and apps section ...
it's made by ammar786 or posted by him IDK
let's GO -->
Everybody knows the CM9/10 ROMs are smooth and Awesome. But what they lack is a TaskManager. This need was fulfilled by the RemICS ROMs which got TouchWiz TaskManager to CM9 and now CM10. But only thing I hated was that the TaskManager force closed when the options key was pressed. After few months I thought that must have been rectified, but I tried the TaskManager from RemICS 1.6, the problem was still there. (Nothing against the RemICS team, the ROM is AWESOME)
So I took it in my own hands to fix the problem... And I DID...!!!

EDIT: User txtmikhail tested the app on CM7 and it works.
download the 2 attached apks install the system app installer then put the task manager APK in system\app folder ... install the apk via the system app installer .. open if you had a forceclose reboot
