data cable??

Hi guys...I juts what to know which kind of data cable do you have for your s740.
a
HTC S740 mini USB Data Cable DC U100? http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=172183
or a HTC S740 Data Cable DC U300 (USB/ExtUSB)? http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=172186
and whether it is possible to synchronize the phone using a U100 cable.
Thank you.
You can use any mini usb data cable, I have one from htc, another from a nokia device and one from a video camera and all of them works ok, with no difference.
Indeed, mini USB is a universal standard...pretty much any mini USB cable will work with the Rose, or any other mini USB device for that matter.
Thank you for your reply guys...I have one last question...do you know which cable is included in the box with the phone when you buy it?
A simple generic USB to mini USB cable.

[Q] USB OTG question

So I'm using DJ Steve's 1.9.1 rom and was thinking about doing a clean install and was thinking maybe I should give the USB hosting a go.
I was wondering if anyone has tried just using the normal Dell cable and attaching a usb female to female adapter/cable and then whatever USB device on the end?
Does this work or is it possible to change the wiring of a usb extension cord so that I don't need to hack into my Streak cable.
Cheers
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
It shouldnt work as usb-otg uses different pins to my knowledge.
Would non OTG usb devices work though?

Dear Sir,
we confirm dell OTG cable it's workable!
we already selling our otg cable in aliexpress.com,
i soon upload the OTG cable usage for all our friends who use dell mini 5.
Do you manufacture/design them?
Any possibility of a dock port to usb mini or micro female port so you can use a standard charging cabler/car charger with it?
Do you have the pinouts to the dock connector? I know it's been posted before, but a firsthand list would be more reliable.
sure sir, we confirm dell mini 5 OTG cable works, it's support your U disk , mouse, keyboard, and movable-harddisk, beleive me, i sure will upload a post here, can contact me my email: [email protected]
hehe i will upload photo here assp.

Wiki made it sound like the USB host feature that is available in ICS, flash drives, keyboards, mouse and such..
its a cool feature that allows a usb-phone connectivity. in simple we may plug and use pendrive, ext hdd with our phone, and access the files in those drives.....

Short answer.. Yes
Lapdock and hd hubs have usb ports already configured.
You can also make your own adapter by purchasing a usb otg cable and modifying a generic usb hub. The otg protocol needs to have 5v returned from the hub to the phone.
There are a couple of forum posts related to that.

that's of course possible ; atrix is a great gadget and capable of many things .
here we go:
1. first get a USB OTG adaptor cable.
2. make your 5v electric-powered USB hub ready.
3. make your USB cable ready (usually USB hub is good for mini USB cable; therefore, you need to obtain also micro to mini USB adaptor too.)
everything is ready now.
4. connect USB hub to power.
5. connect your USB cable to USB hub.
6. connect your USB OTG to your atrix.
you are all set-up.
here we continue...
connect your keyborad, mouse, usb flash, etc. to the USB hub. Voilaaaaaa mouse cursor and the keyboard as well as the usb flash are all visible on Atrix.
Have fun and enjoy it...
In case you wish, search for youtube for "Atrix OTG support"; you will come across many vidoes that verify what I just briefed above..
on top of all, get a neptop.apk and connect to the HD TV via HDMI cable and taste the ultimate pleasure of WEBTOP

Yeppppp, u r right about the clicks.
I am not sure at the moment nor can I verify where I see the USB as I am not at my home desk now, but if I am not mistaken it presents itself or you may find it under "files". Should you have not stock "files" app, then refer to "usbdisk..." folders under "mnt".
My regards,
Till yesterday there was a schematic, where did it go? :S

is this necessary to use usb hub cant we directly connect 1 tb hd via otg cable?? I searched the whole internet but cant find any guide reagarding atrix otg... Is otg working on atrix cm7??
WOW!
I just got it working in a Custom Blur-based Rom ([ROM][GB] NOTTACHTRIX 4G (v1.9.0) Updated Mar 11 2013).
I used a Power charger connected to a Innobo (average quality) USB hub. Then I connected a mouse and a USB memory to the hub plus the Atrix (via OTG cable).
The phone recognized the USB memory without any problem and the mouse works really fine.
I have´n´t tried a keyboard yet, but I guess It will work as well.
Regards. :good:

[Q] HDMI + OTG with this cradle??

HI all,
Does anybody know if it is possible to use the cradle below to output to a monitor whilst also using USB OTG in the micro USB port? This would effectively turn the One X+ into an Android PC and would seriously rock!!!

Anybody?

[Q] Reverse charging cable?

Hey guys, just got a Mate 2, and i can't find the reverse charging cable in my country. From what i understand i can't use any normal male micro usb to male micro usb cable, it is a special "one way" one. Do you know any "compatible" one from another device, or the schematics to build one on my own?
On second thought, would it work, using a male usb to male micro usb adaptor with a OTG cable?
You can order it directly from Huawei which is what I did cheap works well and have used it on my s3 with the zero lemon 7500 mah battery to charge other devices as well.
Yes an otg cable will work.

Yup, just tried it.
Thank you guys, i got an OTG cable and the adapter, and i tested it as soon as i got back home, it works just fine :good:
