Hello!
I was wondering if there is a way to disable the low battery notification/warning that windows pops up when the battery reaches the very low level. I searched for some registry hack that allowed me to do this, but only found a way to do this in the Windows Mobile Pocket PC version.
I'm developing an application for Windows Mobile 5.0 and unfortunately the low battery notification is too intrusive, so I'd like to simply disable it (I warn the user of the battery level on my application).

Just go to Today-Settings-Personal-Sound & Notification.
Select Notification tab, choose Low Battery from drop-down list, you can disable sound and/or warning message.
If the low battery warning option does not appear in the drop down list, you will need to edit the following registry entry first;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}\
Open the String value with the name "Default" and add the value "Low Batt Warning".

This also worked on my phone DX900 but I don't want to switch off the notification levels but change the levels.
Does anybody know how to change the 30% level to 5% and 10% level to 2%?
I did check Internet but can't find a registry change.

Just found it somewere, can't remember where but it works
Customize 'Low Battery' alerts
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408
Create a String value named "Default"
Set its value to "Low battery warning"
Now go to Start > Settings > Personal tab > Sounds & Notifications applet > Notifications tab, select "Low battery warning" in the "Select an event" drop-down list and you can customize it

Yes, I am using DX900 also & has this problem too. When I used LG KS-20, it warns first at 10% and then at 5%.

I don't see a string called default. Only duration, options, and wave.
I created the default option and it worked fine. I'd really rather know how to disable the 40% warning and leave the 20% one though.
Guys, I think we must be able to solve it our selves...
We have now three phones with six different levels:
Phone, Level 1, Level 2
Voltrons phone, 40%, 20%
DX900, 30%, 10%
LG KS-20, 10%, 5%
It must be a registry value or a value stored in a settings file.
What kind of value is most likely to be stored in the registry? DWORD? Value?
What kind of files has settings of the phone stored in?

Guys i have found a way to fix battery indicator to show the battery level as it should be...
1) First of all charge your phone
2) After that go to registry editor on your phone and go to

[B]Local machine/system/state/batteryux/MainIntervalIndex[/B]
and change the value from 6 (or any value it shows there) to 20...now press OK! You wil see that the battery level on top has been changed!
Now again edit it and go from 20 to 80 and press OK...
RESTART YOUR PHONE AND THEN CHARGE IT!
Now you will see that the battery level has changed and shows the battery level like it should be...
Until now it seems like its working... Will leave it unti later to see if the battery will continue to show the correct level...
Try it and tell me your thoughts!

Ok after some tests it seems like the value changed by its self... From 10 to 5 and level shows less than the middle.. I tried to change it to 80.. Will test more until i find the correct one

My mistake mate! Yeap this is the correct path! Change it from 6 (or any value that shows there) to 20 and from 20 to 80 and it should work like it supposed to be!
Something that i noticed is that the value is Dynamic (means that the value changes by it's self) You just make the trick and it should work!
It's been 1 hour now and it seems that the battery indicator shows the correct level! So i must say that this tweak works!
Too give you an idea of what this tweak is about! Some guys here says that the Radio plays a Big Role in battery life... Imo this have nothing to do with the battery drainage of your phone... Your Battery indicator shows false levels of the battery! E.x you charge your phone for 1 hour and battery is about 60% when you unplug it! WP7 doesn't know the correct battery level because of a false value in registry!
This "BETA" tweak will fix this problem..
Confirm me this is working.

Ok here is the thing:
1)charge your phone until the green light shows up
2)unplug it from A/C and open registry editor
3)go to the reg path
4)edit the value from 6 to 20...press ok..Now you will see the battery indicator level has been changed! Again go and edit the value and from 20 go to 80..press ok! Restart and enjoy!
To see that this is working.. go and edit the value and put number 4 or 2! The indicator will show you that you have 40%-50%..
So if you edit it again and follow the instructions you will see that the battery level will now show 80%-90% which is correct because you charged your phone before!
I can't see any " virtual battery drainage" anymore because the indicator now shows the correct batt level!
Tell me your results!

I am puzzled...my phone's led turns green, next I unplug it, open reg editor, my value is @ 11. Next I change it to 20, confirm OK (no change on batt indicator btw), then change it to 80 and restart. Cell boots up with full batt indicator. I plug it in, it's charging for couple mins, and again hits green light. When I view the registry key, value is back on 11 .
Any suggestion or correction regarding my description would be appreciated

Good Question mate! As i said the value is dynamic and it can change to anything!
This is weird though cause when i made the tweak and checked back in registry my value were 6 again! But....no battery drainage after that! I don't know why but still my phone's juice is above the middle! (which is logical because i fully charged my HD2) So make the tweak, test it a couple of hours,check if the battery "drainage" it's logical and report here!
I Confirm that this is working real nicely!
Arkatis, pal, you're absolutely right. The value always comes back down to whatever it was originally (11 in my case), but my battery life went simply through the roof. I went running while listening to the music, made couple phone calls via BT handsfree, checked marketplace (via cell data) and sent some messages...still sitting almost on full. My batt would be at least 1/4th down before I performed the reg tweak that you've suggested. Dunno what you did, but I like it . Btw, did you notice that there's another key @ HKLM\System\State\Battery with numeric variable called VALUE DATA? Let us know if you dare to tinker with that one . Thanks lot for your outstanding tip, pal!
What if your battery is almost at the end and you still thinks it is almost full? You've changed something visual maybe? Think about it.

I'm trying out the tweak right now. So far I got the result of LuckTR (11 in registry, device reboots with full indicator , but charges). Will report back later how battery life is.

EDIT: i have found the right version
Battery says its about on 6% juice and the phones turn off (first of all that should not be hapening). However bigger problem is that after it turns off, i turn it again and battery jumps to ~32 procentage. So pretty much I have to do it every time. WTF is that ? I heared a lot of users have this problem. so hardware or software issue ?
also battery gets stuck on 100% after charge. maybe gdr3 will fix it ?
Battery was ok for few days, but this night after charge battery overnight went from 100% to 77% (in about 7 hours) in stand by mode. Obviously thats not right so I did a restart and battery back up to 100%. Seriously wtf is that?

is possible firmware release in your phone have bug... same model of Lumia dont have same firmwares... almost every operator or region release have different firmware...
also for battery saving use these tips:
turn off unnecessary background tasks (in settings - applications - background tasks)
limit number of Live tiles on start screen which uses internet
use simple picture for lock screen (dont use live lock screens)
dont use battery status applications (uninstall it completely)
dont use or limit some option for Glance screen
turn off or increase mail checking time

Are you running WAZE during your phone charging?
WAZE will drain battery so fast that isn't possible to charge simultaneously.
If in charge mode WAZE can damage your battery.

Hi all, this question arises after I enabled an automation to set battery saver on while my screen is off. To see how effective this was I wanted to see what the default battery saver actually does and only a couple applied while screen is off- GPS and vibration (from memory). I know you can modify these feature by switching them on and off but is there any way you can add new features/actions while battery saver is on and if so what are the common battery training processes that occur while your screen is off?.

I am unable to get the Battery Charge Limit app to work on the TMOBILE variant of this device. The app allows you to set start/stop charging %, which helps prolong battery state.
Does anyone know where the control file is located? I tried searching in /sys/class/* but couldn't find anything like chg_enabled or something similiar.
For OP9Pro, the file is located here: /sys/class/oplus_chg/usb/chg_enable
For OPN200, I don't know

Writing 0 to this file disables charging and writing 1 enables charging. Note that the charging icon shows that the battery is charging if the device is plugged in even if the file has a 0, but checking with a battery app will show that charging is disabled.
I also noticed that the battery charge limit app doesn't work if you start the app when the battery is already above the maximum limit, it only works if you start the app with the battery at or above the limit you set in the app.
Also I didn't realize this but you can also use ACC and run

It seems @towardsdawn is spot on.
I configured Battery Charge Limit (you can find in Playstore) to use the charge control file located here:

/sys/class/oplus_chg/battery/mmi_charging_enable
And it seems to work. If the current battery % is HIGHER than the STOP CHARGE %, then the Battery Charge Limit application will say DISCHARGING but battery icons from homescreen and lockscreen will indicate it's charging. Even though battery icon from homescreen and lockscreen says it's charging, I did not see battery % increase.
If you charge the phone when it's BELOW the STOP CHARGE %, then the Battery Charge Limit application will say it's charging and the battery % will increase after some time until it reaches STOP CHARGE %.
Overall, it seems to work, it's just the battery charging status from Battery Charge Limit app and phone icons are not aligned. One thing I do notice is if current % is ABOVE the STOP CHARGE %, then it will stay at that % while plugged in.
just a heads up, make sure to disable battery saver as well as advanced battery optimizations when charging, these modes will kill the Battery Charge Limit app even if you have it set to "Don't optimize". had some issues getting it to work overnight and doing this worked for me.

looks like I spoke too soon, I fiddled around with the settings and still can't get it to work consistently. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I switched to ACCA and that works much better.

Battery Charge Limit is one of my fav apps.
I thought that you have to have root to use this app, no?
Could you provide a beginner's guide on your method? Noobs need it!

Here is a quick guide to using ACCA which I find to work much more consistently on the Nord N200 than Battery Charge Limit:
Unlock bootloader (see this thread, I used the debloat script. make sure to remove the line that gets rid of Gboard)
Root your phone with Magisk (see this thread)
Visit this website to download F-droid, then in the F-droid client download ACCA. ACCA will say installation failed for some reason, but it still works
Edit the default profile under the Profiles tab.
Under Capacity Control edit Charging switch.
Click Add Charging Switch.
Type in
Code:
/sys/class/oplus_chg/battery/mmi_charging_enable
for charging switch
Type in 1 for On value and 0 for Off value. Click ok.
Tap on the new charging switch. Click Test charging switch with the charger plugged in. It should popup saying the switch works, if it doesn't then you'll have to troubleshoot that.
Click Save.
Edit the other settings to what you want, then click the save icon in the top right.
Tap on the default profile to switch to it.
You may or may not need to do this, but under android battery settings I disabled battery optimization for ACCA and I also turned off all of the advanced optimization settings.

Seems I am running into same issue - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't with Battery Charge Limit. I'll check out ACCA.
@clu1688 - you should check out the post above mine with ACCA. It seems Battery Charge Limit app doesn't work consistently.
