Sir Here's my firmware now.
I've flashed it today...
Android version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: S5830DXKPB
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-perf-CL514579
[email protected]#1
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.DXKPB
Link2SD:
What is needed:
- Root Permission
- The second partition on the SD Card, and both MUST PRIMARY
The first partition is the default storage of data on the SDcard. The second partition (which will be created) is a partition for storage applications for Link2sd.
download "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition" on the PC, then plug the sdcard in the PC (u can directly use the phone, or card reader). by using this program, agan no need to format, partition, or delete data in the beginning, to create a new partition.
Install and open minitool, select the drive which will be partitioned sdcard, select resize the unallocated area. for PRIMARY, NOT logical. Free partition size is up. klo above 2GB FAT32 file system should pake. FAT32 support is generally on all phones. APPLY, and then turn on the phone.
(for more secure data back up anyway in the SD Card)
- Install Link2sd, have mounted, select FAT32, restart again and Tada!! Applications can be moved to SD, ga who need to use complicated script
Good luck. and must have successfully ...
My sd card sir is 8gb.
What is the partition in fat32?
what is the partition in my ext3?

[Q] I need help SD card not working on any ics roms

So here's my situation. I have s-off via wire trick/controlbear program, running amon ra recovery and I did use a sacrificial sd card in the process. I've tried probably 5 different ics roms and the only thing that doesn't work is the sd card. It doesn't give a notification in the top bar but only when I attempt to browse the card through a file manager or gallery then it either says "sd card unmounted" or "please insert sd card". I've wiped everything and formatted it 10 ways from Sunday through windows and the recovery menu but it still isn't recognized. I even tried a few other sd cards I have laying around that I know for sure have been untouched from the rooting process and they do not work either. On the other hand, whenever I revert back to Gingerbread whether it be stock RUU or Rom the sd card works just fine so that makes me think there's nothing wrong with the card it's just not working in ics for some reason. I've done all I can do to the extant of my knowledge to fix it so any other suggestions would be very much appreciated!!! thanks
Additional info, I don't know if it makes a difference or not but when I did the s-off procedure I didn't flash the custom hboot. The hboot is still on 2.11.0000
Did you go into settings > Storage and try mounting the sd card manually, thats what i have to do after reboots.

Yeah I've tried that still no cigar
You need the "old firmware patch" because you have gingerbread firmware and the mount points are different for the sd card on ics.

In order to avoid this problem I would recommend following the instructions contained in the second post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603917
This will upgrade your firmware to the current leak which will make it unnecessary to flash the old firmware patch, the reason your SD card won't mount is because you are on the old firmware and haven't flashed the patch.

Same here with my SGS3 32GB with all cm9 nightlies with ROM Manager. Manual recovery and backup works without problems from recovery console.
With CWM 5.5.0 4 / CF1.5 / CWM3.6 i just getting a error that sd marker was not found but is backups everythong without problems. I use CWM5.5.0.4 as workaround for the moment instead of rom manager.
Tried the following to solve problem:
Reformated microSD 32GB (Patriot)
Flashed recovery several times (rom manager & CWM)
Bought new Samsung 32GB microSD
All above without sucess....
No idea what is the cause for that.
Any ideas?

Solved..
I re flashed root. Seemed as if I wasn't rooted properly!?...
I rooted with my Mac initially but re did it via Odin3. I used a different version of cf root. Just repeated the root process and was able to make a backup.
Still got an error stating ext sd couldn't be found but have read in forum that it's not a big deal!??
Sorry I can't shed anymore light on the issue. Good luck

**TAMPERED**
**UNLOCKED**

So i tried to root my desire 601 and accidentally killed my internal SD card and wiped off my rom inside . Now i have no OS and a dead internal SD card inside . I can't mount system/data/sdcard in recovery and almost everything else . I do have am 2gb external memory card though . I tried flashing Insertcoin ROM from my external SD card but whenever its installing halfway in Aroma , the phone will just turn black screen (shutdown or something) and then it will get stuck at HTC bootscreen .
I tried to use adb to mount the internal memory to my PC using some guide on xda forums but it won't work too .
Any help is appreciated . Thanks

1. What is your hboot version?
2. What recovery did you flash?
You might have the wrong recovery, which causes the reboots during the flashing process. If you updated to kitkat via OTA, you should install TWRP recovery, which you can find in Desire 601 Original Android Development. Also, if you have an OTG cable, you can use a USB stick or HDD instead of an SD card.

You have the new hboot with the new partition layout. You HAVE TO use this TWRP. Otherwise it will always do some weird stuff and mess up your phone. If you really can't find a working SD, then use adb to push the ROM zip file in your internal memory by typing this into your cmd/terminal:
Code:
adb push <file>.zip /sdcard/rom.zip
Replace <file> with the name of the ROM zip you downloaded.
Then in TWRP go to Install and select the rom.zip file from the list. It should work fine.
