A copy of what you have on your Ext Rom folder will do.

What build are you running? What radio? Rom?
Some Android builds run from a folder and some from the root of the men card. And the radio in use affects booting. Make sure you have your info correct regarding the build you are using.

[Q] Efs.rfs Query

Hi Guys. Just sent my phone for repair. Just wanted to know that after I get my phone back, can I install CWM Recovery v5.0.2.6 and flash my backup of my ICS Sunday Final ROM??? BTW, i deleted my efs.rfs file from my SD Card accidentally and backuped my ROM after deleting the file without knowing that I deleted the file. Please let me know. Thanks!
You're all confused.
1. efs.rfs file is not included in the archive created by CWM.
2. When you get your phone out of repair, you can install CWM Recovery v5.0.2.6 on it and flash your backup of your ICS Sunday Final ROM.

Nope. I deleted the file accidentally. And the file is always in the SD Card...

[Q] CWM back up moved to external SD card problem

I have a rooted i9300 running Paranoid Android 4.1.2. My problem is when I use my root file explorer to move my nandroid back up made with rom manager to my external SD card and go look for it when I'm in recovery mode I get the message NO FILE FOUND when I select it. The title of the back up is there but apparently there is no file there!! I'm a touch confused as I have another SD card I keep all my ROMS on just to be safe and they were all moved there using the same root file explorer.
move the whole folder
I'll give it a try, cheers.

FAIL..!!! lol
I moved the whole folder again and it has made no difference!! majorly confused now.
Gonna just try and copy the folder and move the copy to my external SD card. Kind of defeats the purpose of what I was trying to achieve by having all my roms and back ups on my EX SD to keep space on my internal storage lol
Make a backup on Ext SD card then copy previous backup to the same location .
jje
To clear it up, try copying the whole clockworkmod folder, not the whole backup folder
Will give all of the above a try thanks folks.

what is sgs-kernal-flasher???

I have really screwed my phone. It is a Samsung Fascinate 4G from Telus. I have tried to flash my phone that didn't work. So I tried to go back to stock with files I downloaded from here. I would get the phone to work but there was no sdcard, I could not mount or format an extrenal sd card and the sim card was not recognized. I did make a backup of my extrenal sdcard and found this folder on it. "sgs-kernal-flasher" there is two sub floder titled "backup and tmp". Does this mean I made a backup of my rom before I started to screw the phone up or did I download it from someplace? If this is a backup how do i restore if the phone will not mount the sdcard?
OK well let's see first of all you have a completely different fascinate than us you need to use this thread to find ROMs and stock files
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1540809
Now then just find the stock files in that thread and flash back to stock and no if it was a backup it would be under "clockworkmod"

1. Copying the cwm folder to your sd is fine. Just make sure that when/if you want to restore it, you put it back into the same directory that its supposed to be in. (/clockwordmod/backups/). Also dont rename the folder name of the backup.
2. If your backup didnt complete successfully, cwm wouldve given you an alert saying so.
thx man

Also if your phone's system memory is around 250 mb then the backup size is fine. It is more because it also backups data partition with all your apps.
