Appointment times shifting - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Every once in awhile I will create an appointment for a specific time on a specific date. Then, later on I will notice that the start and end times are shifted ahead exactly one hour. For instance, an appointment from 1:00p - 2:00p is shifted to 2:00p to 3:00p.
I am using WM2003, the latest and greatest T-Mobile ROM.
Has anyone seen this issue or have any suggestions on what might be causing this?
Thanks!

Mate, are you sure that this is not related to either day light saving or a different time zone setting?

Yes, I'm sure. Both the PocketPC and my desktop computer are set for the same time zone, and both are set to use Daylight Saving Time.
The problem happens randomly to different appointments. Today I had an appointment set to go from 12 noon to 8pm. For the last week, it showed up correctly on my calendar.
Today it was correct until I happened to notice at about 5pm that the appointment had shifted to 1pm to 9pm.
Another appointment I have for a few weeks from now moved from 9am to 10am.
Very weird.

I have exactly the same problem. I noticed it happens more frequently arond the period of DST change. Very weird and annoying. If anyone could help, this would be great. Thanks

Time Zone Snafu

I've a qtek 8500 and live in the EST zone and have the phone set to that time zone. When I travel say to San Jose and enable the automatic update feature everything gets way screwed up. By that I mean it will be hours off, now I can reset the time zone to say Turkey and the phone resets to the correct time but everything in outlook then gets reclocked to a different time reflecting the difference between Athens and here. It's maddening & I know just disable the auto feature which is what I do but I've got this cheapo Sony phone that this never happens to. Any ideas about how to fix this?

I think you're describing a "feature" of Windows Mobile - appointments shift to reflect the time in your current timezone. Windows assumes you set appointments in your home timezone for the time they occur at home, and that it should shift them for the current timezone. This is great unless you schedule a meeting for when you're travelling....
example: at home in EDT today you put on your calendar a 10am next Wednesday meeting with your PDT colleagues in SJC. When you fly to SJC on Monday, and the phone sets itself to PDT you'll see the appointment at 7am! Windows thought you meant 10am EDT because you put it in that way.
If the meeting is 10am in PDT, you'll have to put it on your calendar at 1pm - as that's what time it will be in EDT for a 10am PDT meeting. That's pretty confusing when someone calls to confirm - "our meeting is at 10am, right?" and you look on your calendar at see 1pm. The best advice I've seen is to simply put the times in the description - or to never change the device's timezone
For many years I did the latter, just changed the time on the device and kept the appointments from shifting. I've recently given up on that and started doing the "set adjusted time" method....
YMMV of course!

Clock problem:Alarms going off that are not set, seen this anyone?

Hey guys,
I have been running this version of DCD's ROM for a very long time now basically because it has worked well and been stable for me, but the other day I noticed an anoying thing happen that I wonder if anyone has seen and maybe solved. I use my unit as my primary alarm clock and have set 1 of the 3 alarms to 9:00PM to get me up for work, another for 9:00AM for a daily conferance call, and the 3rd for 10:00PM to be sure I do not sleep too late for work. From time to time I have changed times and text titles for the alarms and all worked well until the other day when I set it to go off at 2M just for 1 day to get remind me of a phone call I had to make, which it did nicely, but then when I changed that alarm back to it's old settings it assumed the identity and time I set for it, but now every day at 2:00PM that alarm still goes off and I can not make it stop doing that because the entry is no longer there. Also I told it to stop the 9:00PM work wakeup alarm and it still goes off at 9:00PM even if I set that entry totally different. I have even shut off all alarms and set the sound to another sound, but still they persist. I have looked in the registry and found the clock utility and where it stores the 3 alarms and they change like they are supposed t, and there is no listings for these rouge alarms anywhere in the entire registry. Anyone seen this ?????? Thanks. I will continue to tweak on it and let yoy know if I find or fix it.
Are you running Home Customizer? This happened to me about two months ago and I re-installed the HC and the mystery alarms went away.

Clock has wrong time!

Hi Guys,
Ive spent a good amount of time today getting HyperDrive 15 (with safestrap) on my Vzw GS4. Its on and configured the way I like it, except for one thing.
The time is 1 hour ahead of what it should be. I think its not accounting for daylight saving time.
I can manually enter the timezone and it displays the correct time, but as soon as I switch it to get the time from the network, it bumps the time forward an hour.
Ive even tried the "Clock Sync" app and it also shows the time (both atomic and device) as being 1 hour ahead of what it should be.
Ive looked all over and I cant figure out how to get the network time to display the right time.
Any advice?

What time zone are you in?
You say it's "not accounting for daylight savings time" but if daylight savings time is on, then you would be 1 hour ahead of standard time, which would account for you showing one hour fast if you're in an area that doesn't observe DST.
If the "Automatic time zone" is putting you in the wrong zone, then switch that off, set the proper timezone, and then see how it goes. If that works, try turning "Automatic time zone" back on - if that pushes you an hour ahead, contact your network provider and ask them to fix it.

Im on mountain time. When i use network time, it causes the phone to be 1 hour ahead of what it should be. I can uncheck those, set the time, then recheck "use network time" and the time will stay correct, but if I set it to use the network time zone, then it causes the time to move forward an hour again.

[Q] Stock alarm resets time?

Hi, I have a strange issue with the alarm widget on my AT&T Mega (stock AT&T rom with AT&T updates applied). Most of the time it works fine and I like waking up to the music however on the rare days when I know I'll actually be able to sleep in a little and change the alarm's time setting the night before (say to an hour later) it still goes off at the same time as it would have if I hadn't changed it (this has happened multiple times and last night I even checked that it was changed a couple of times before going to bed and it still went off at the original time instead of the time I'd changed it to). Has anyone else encountered this and if so is there a fix to resolve it? Thanks in advance and have a nice day.

Calorie tracking bug since last update

In general I've really liked the latest firmware update for the Gear Fit2, but it has a severe bug in its calorie counting system..
I've sent two feedback reports in Samsung+ and asked for similar experiences in reddit. A lot of people have this same issue where the watch creates a sort of "day 0" at the beginning of your calorie records, and at midnight every day it shifts back a day and leaves "yesterday" blank (ex: Wednesday will be counting, Tuesday is blank, Monday shows Tuesdays calories).
Also if I'm not connected to Samsung Health, at midnight the calories from that day get severely cut until it syncs with the phone. Yesterday I burned 2033 calories but it showed 697 until I resynced with the app.
I've factory reset three times since the update just to see if it would fix it and it always creates the day 0 at midnight. It's only calories, not steps or anything else. Once in the past it did do this with steps but a factory reset fixed it. I've emailed support and told them I factory reset, but they told me to factory reset and/or send in the watch for inspection/repair... And I know it's a software issue and that I'm not under warranty anymore so no thanks.
Any one who's experiencing this please send feedback reports. If you have any insight to the issue or a fix, I'm all ears.
Is a time zone related bug, I don't know why tho. I have the same issue when I set my phone to automatic time zone. If I set the time zone to GMT +00:00 manually, the calories app on the GearFit2 will go back to normal.
