WM2003 SE for XDA2 deleted from ftp ??? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

...looks like someone deleted all SE images from our ftp server.
However, I still have it (i guess others too) if anyone need it.

I did not check the ftp directories, but I am still able to download from ie dcs's thread

Take a look. Nothing there...

buzz, I believe you when you say that nothing is there.
But shoulndt the question be 'can we download the files'?
I noticed that (since the breakdown?) uploaded files (in the ftp root) seem to be transferred elsewhere when they are linked to any post.
That will answer your question.
I think we need not worry about hte presence of these files on ftp, as long as the forum download works

))
I'm OK with the fact, that the files were deleted. I checked also the subdirs...
I'm pretty sure, that I did download SE from our ftp server, so I was a bit surprised, that these files are not there anymore...
However, (as you said) files can be still downloaded directly from the posts.
I have my local copies, just in case... )))))
have a nice day

Dude, read the news at http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=128249#128249

Internet Sharing on AKU2 ROMs

I like the way the Internet sharing works on the new ROM, with simply starting the program and plugging it in. Is there anyway to make this work for the old ROMs?
Thanks, Lew
P.S. I just cant stand the loss of soooo many hardware buttons on the Cing rom. I may try the test rom =)
havent tried this as it is embedded into the OS, not sure of the dependicies required also... i will do some testing tonight for you and let you know... have you tried copying the exe's from the new rom onto your old one and running them?
i was looking into this this past weekend and tried to get internet sharing off the new cingular rom working on the softbank rom (aku2.6). first of all, you can't just copy the files directly from the \windows dir, you have to unpack the os.nb file and pull the files off that way. i don't know what the dependencies are either so i just pulled four files:
intshrui.exe
intshare.dll
intshrui (shortcut in \windows)
internet sharing (shortcut in programs)
and two registry settings.
i put it all into a cab (attached) and tried to install it on the softbank rom but no go. i get an error that says something to the affect of "intshrui.exe is not a valid pocket pc application". i'm not sure if that means i'm just missing needed dlls or if the executable itself is hard-coded to look for an aku value > 3. if you guys figure out what dlls are needed, let me know and i'll update the cab.
Unfortunately, it can't be THAT easy - the BT stack has also been heavily modded in AKU3 to include the BT PAN (and to get rid of BT DUN) profile. Try including the MS BT stack-related DLL's too.
I dont "need" it to work over bluetooth (although it would be nice) I would settle for usb.

Click to collapse
but i believe that the application has bluetooth dependencies so inturn will not load...
Has anyone managed this? I'd be interested in whacking this onto my Works's M3100 which won't get AKU 3.3 / WM6 until:
(a) Orange UK release it
(b) the IT chaps sign it off
Soooo the day after never !
I have a Softbank X02HT (a HTC Cavalier Smartphone) - they cripple Internet Sharing by removing the required bits (so that you have to pay big bugs for PC data).
I got the files and registry keys installed and I can see the GUI, but the content of the selection options for "PC Connection" and "Network Connection" are blank - (the values are missing)...
Has anyone else got this working yet?

Save CABs from MarketPlace...

Hello all,
I have found WORKING little app to save CABs from MarketPlace. You can download the app here:
http://blog.idlezone.org/post/2010/01/11/Windows-Mobile-MarketPlace-:-choose-where-to-install
(use fixed version posted in the comments of the article: http://blog.idlezone.org/public/DarkApps/DarkCABCatcherInstaller_quickfix.CAB)
Awsome, thanks for posting ! =d
Thank you So So So Much
Will
Works it also for paid apps?
doesnt work for me.
Awsome, How do you work this thing.
When I run DarkCABCatcher, I have set fom folder to \.\Application Data\Volatile to \.\My Documents.
The DarkCABCatcher application shows the following:
MKP5C5036.cab OK!
MKP5C5036.cab installed.
MKP5C5036.cab started.
MKP5C5036.cab copy Ok.
When I look in my \.\My Documents folder there is no .cab file collected.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Richard
Thanks !
I never used MarketPlace yet, but just in case, I'll keep that trick handy and try it.
I don't understand their position on "piracy", since I generally only use free software...
When it's not free, I buy the licenses, but since I'm flashing a lot these months, I really doubt MarketPlace would recognize my device next time I log on, so this trick may be unvaluable... Just to keep access to what I had legally bought.
Thanks for this, but unfortunately on cooked WM6.5 portuguese ROM it doesn't work. I confirmed that I have NetFW3.5 installed so I don't know what's wrong:
What a pity - don´t work at all on T-Mobile Vario V (HTC TouchPro2) with Windows Mobile 6.5.
Sometimes it write the cab is copied - but can´t find it in the destination folder.
Sometimes it just don´t show anything.

Cool app, didn't work
The critical thing this app shows is where the temporary CAB files are downloaded when installing from the Marketplace app.
Just open this folder in Windows Explorer while the phone is connected to your device. You have to turn on "view hidden and system folders" to see the folder on your phone.
Wait and watch the folder during the install. It will create a CAB file, which will get an icon as soon as the file is finished writing to the device. Quickly copy the file off the phone onto your computer.
(I have installed z-zip and associated CAB files with the program, which is why I get a nice icon as soon as the download has finished.)

HELP! Had Androtility uploaded on Megaupload, now it's down, and my work is GONE!

As you (may) know, i created an utility for flashing, and manipulating Android phones on Mac. It was uploaded on Megaupload. I lost my files (while i was experimenting with Ubuntu... lol), and i thought "eh, it's on Megaupload... no problem..."
But then i remembered OH WAIT, MEGAUPLOAD IS DOWN
So, all my work is gone. If any of you have the utility, i will be very gratefull and also include your name in the app.
Thanks!
FWIW, I have read that the EFF will try to help users retrieve their data from MegaUpload before it is gone for good.
