Hi gurus!
I need to replace the display on my Atom because of that "whistling" problem that lots of users are experiencing (too expensive to send the device to HK from Moscow, and the chances to get it back with a good screen are not 100%), but the guys here told me they couldn't find any info on which type/model/make of the screen is installed on Atoms. Can anyone help?

Where can you purchase the screen? I found the nec-lcd webpage but didn't see where I could purchase one. How much do they cost?

You just do some googling for a local supplier of electronic parts / components. I'm sure you will find one. In Moscow, I was able to find at least 7 suppliers of this stuff.
Can you believe that MY WHISTLING IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's damn GONE!!! I don't know why it decided to go - I never asked it for that... But thanks to something/someone anyway

I have an T-Mobile MDA III (German, I think the same model Buzz has/had) with a cracked LCD display.
From what I can pick up on these boards I need the following LCD replacement:
Sony ACX502BMV-7 - however, the board I have received from a supplier on eBay is the following: Sony ACX502BMU-7518J11D, 60H00015-01, designed for a Dopod 700.
Before I open the packaging, can anyone tell me if this part is suitable for my MDA III.
Its been broken for some time now and I want to get it going again now that I am feeling better and ready for WM5.

Hi LGSilva, unfortunately not that simple, there is more than one lcd screen for the BA, I just need to know if the LCD model quoted will work with my unit.
The Dopod 700 is certainly one of the many HTC clones, but some of the units have slightly different specs etc including different LCD displays/boards etc.

If the second part number "60H00015-01" on your new screen is the same on the WIKI then probably it isn't it.

Tnx Janeway,screen arrived yesterday morning and with these instructions i've got from you,it was nothing to replace it,i had it done in 1h30 and everything is fine again.
Also thanks to the Ebay seller where i've bought it,it was the correct item

I am getting ready to replace my broken Skyrocket screen and digitizer. I have found a site called www . gounlock . com that has it for $169.99. Does anyone have any feedback on this site? Are they reputable? I don't want to spend that kind of money just to get screwed. If anyone will know, it is the folks here. Thanks guys.

Since I've broken the screen(Gorilla Glass this time, touch is working superb) of my SII again, I am looking alternatives for screen replacement. What do you think should I do , I mean I've seen many sites that says GG can be replaced, but some says it cant.
Please provide input in this respect. Video links would be much appreciated.
